21st July

Up early as we were off to Islands of Adventure today – were set off later than I wanted due to my mums wardrobe malfunction and DS having a mini meltdown!!!! We arrived at IOA but after 9am headed to Spiderman as this was a ride everyone wanted to do – the wait time was 25 minutes so we knew this was going to be our only chance. Everyone loved this ride apart from my mum who wouldn’t choose to ride it again. Next stop was Seuss Landing which I love the theming for. We rode Cat in the Hat twice , the carousel, 1 fish 2 fish and then the maze.

By this time every one was hungry so we went to eat at the place in Seuss Landings. There was not much choice so we all had burger and chip and DS loved trying the Dippin Dots ice cream.

By the time we came out the park was packed and it was surface of the sun hot. We took a wander round and the wait times for most rides were 60-90 minutes and the kids declared they wanted to go back for a swim. We decided that is what we would do so went back to the villa and enjoyed the afternoon by the pool which was the right decision as it just got hotter and hotter.

We had dinner in the villa and then decided to head to Epcot for the fireworks. We parked at the Baordwalk and caught the boat to International Gateway and headed into Future Land. We rode Nemo and friends and then Spaceship Earth. The kids stopped and played some of the games at the exit to Spaceship Earth while I had a look in the Art Gallery shop.

We then walked to World showcase and had a look round Mexico and did the ride. We stopped at Norway and the kids were hungry so we all had a cake and drink and just sat and watched the sun set. We kept on walking round until we found a great spot in Italy to watch the fireworks which everyone loved.

We then walked back to the Boardwalk and had a walk along there before heading back to the car and home to bed.
