Ha! No, my dad was SO proud: his sunglasses are prescription. He had normal glasses too, but he felt like a "nerd" in them, so he only wore his sunglasses: inside, at night, etc. And they were Ray Bans, like the ones Tom Cruise wore in the 80s. Oh yes.

Oh my gods, Jackie! The cakes are SO awesome! (I get to be the first LOSTie to reply - woohoo!) I love the detail work on the MK one. Did Chris love his cake? Are there any reaction shots?

I love that your dad had his sunglasses on. It's because of all the sparklies on the dress, huh?

Chris LOVED his cake: his only qualm was that it almost looked too nice!!!! (We figured it would just be a boring old sheet cake.) No reaction shots though. Blah

Let me go ahead and start commenting before you take off and get ahead of me again.

Part 9

Jackie, How dare you?!?! (blah, blah, blah.. as before with Danielle!) I'm sorry!! I'm trying my best. I damn sure read the updates. I just can't stand commenting on my phone while on break. By the time I get home from work, I don't feel like doing anything except sinking into the couch! lol If Charley didn't cook for us, we'd probably starve. We've been working around 55 hrs a week trying to save money for all of my Disney trips!! hahaha It's sad, I know... but I feel like it's worth it. Anyway... sorry I'm such a slack *** friend!! I'll try to do better. I promise!!! (I know I say this every single time... just go with it!)

Part 10
-I want to eat that Mickey head!! And I LOVE lemonade! It's like my fav!
-I love coffee too. I'm telling you.. we were meant to be! I'm just sayin... hahaha
-Again, your guestbook is lovely.
-That food is making me soooo hungry. And guess what I get to eat tonight. Subway.. some damn subway... I want some fried chicken!!!
-Your SW table is in a different spot than ours was. It's so pretty though.. but I still think they should have let you keep that rose!!! I'm just saying. That could've kept the case.
-I love those place cards. Do you still have them? Or did you eat them? We still have our chocolate ears that was our cake topper (since we ate our whole cake..) and the chocolate pic of the GF that we got from the GF cafe (even though the chocolate border is broken into pieces.. all of those pieces are still in the bag!) We have all of this in our freezer. lol
-Your toasting flutes are so pretty.
-Did you feel famous being announced by the Major Domo??
-Our SW table was set up against that wall where you had your 1st dance.
-I think it's so cool how Chris met Luis. I bet his speech was really cute!
-I'm not judging you.. but I'm sure Richelle's speech was just lovely!
-I hate taking those posed pics.
-We also had the apple cider, and we thought it was very good too. But I agree.. not for $37.
-Your food looks so yummy!!! I'm glad everything turned out so good.
-Charley roamed around and talked to people some. I stayed at the SW table the majority of the time. I just really felt like crap by that point. lol

-Your cake was amazing. I saw it on Randy's FB page the same day of your wedding, and I showed it to Charley and told him that HAS to be Jackie's cake!
-You're right. I don't understand the Lost inspired cake.
-I like pics outside on the balcony.
-How did you feel about all of the smooching? We're not PDA ppl at all, and I think we kissed more during our time at Disney than we have period!! lol

Part 12
-I love the pics of you and your Dad having your FDD. And he had no reason to feel bad about ripping that material. It ripped VERY easy!!
-I also love that he kept his sunglasses on!!! Hilarious!!!

Your cake is amazing!!! Wow! I can't believe they got all that with that little bit of direction. I am now rethinking my idea, which was never really set in stone, but maybe we should be even more vague.

Your Dad looks so happy during the dance, the whole day really. Sorry he ripped your dress though.

I remember that day checking facebook to see if you had posted a picture yet and finally seeing one from Andy White that he tagged you and Chris in. I could tell just from what he posted on facebook that day how happy he was for you both and proud too.

Now you have the hard part over. Good job, FDD. And, I managed to comment on these two parts in a timely fashion! Go me!!!

BTW, someday we will make a trip at the same time. I know we will!

I think Disney's bakeries work the best with some direction, but I think like like to be creative too. I think you should only give them really specific direction if there's something you absolutely, 100% want. I wanted to be surprised... because I like surprises!

And my dad was really happy and proud. He commented on almost every single one of the wedding pictures that he saw posted on facebook. I get really sad that he never got to see the ones Randy took. He would have loved them.

Those cakes- wow! The MK theme really is amazing, how they put so much detail into it and made it all come together, I love it!!
My DF would love that cake! Did you post or do you mind sharing how much they charged you for it? How does a groom's cake work? Do you cut into it too or they just cut it up also? I've always thought of one, but not sure really it's purpose other than being fun! haha

The attic looks like a perfect space! Love all of your pics with the BW per usual! I the picture of your reflection in the cake server- I've never seen that before! I especially like that it has the DFTW logo too

Of course I don't mind saying how much my cake cost: I'm super open with money haha. It was the standard $450 for a two tiered mad hatter. I was really surprised that it wasn't more: there was SO much fondant detail. We had a small wedding, so we were able to do a two tier, but I'll bet they would do even more amazing stuff with a 3 tier. And for the groom's cake, you can decide if you want to cut into it or not. (We didn't.) Our only purpose was "just because"!

Okay so I have some good news and some bad news..I'll start with the bad first then brighten it up with the good.

Bad News:
-I am a bad person/disbride who was seriously delinquent in logging in, catching up, and commenting on all your excitement!! I deserve several lashings.
-I wasted almost an entire day at work catching up on your PJ/TR. I started exactly where I left off (ahem, November, ahem ) My boss probably wont be very happy with me should he find out. ---please say a quick prayer for me.
-For a while there, you had a serious Bridesmaid Brat situation and I was prepared to hike all the way up to you guys and give her a piece of my mind...that girl is CRAY!!

Good News:
-I am totally caught up on all of your planning, your GORGEOUS wedding, and all the drama and sadness that has found you lately.
-I absolutely love your wedding! It was amazing and exactly how I imagined you were planning!
-You were seriously stunning!!
-Your photos are great!!
-Your hair was FANTASTIC!! I wish mine would have looked more like yours!
- That Brides cake is ridiculously wondrous!! There are no words in my opinion that can truly give it all the glory and credit it deserves...freakin awesome!
-Your entire TR has been great so far! I wish I could remember all of the small details and excitement from our trip that youve included in yours! Although im sure a lot of my forgetfulness is in part due to the fact that I waited about 3 months to start mine...uggh can you say lame?

I just started to read your PJ three days ago and I'm around page 42. I wanted to post here because I have a couple of things to comment on and I don't want to forget.

First of all I think everything I have seen so far is beautiful. I love your guest but the life of me can't seem to find where you made it from. Your dress is gorgeous and you certainly look like a princess.

I have been married for almost 16 years and plan on doing a 20th anniversary vow renewal. We have three beautiful children, DS12, DS10, and DD 6. I wish I knew 16 years ago that Disney had weddings because I would have done it the first time around. I follow a lot of weddings on the DIS boards to get ideas and I certainly have found some from yours!

I'm so sorry for all the trouble you've been having family members. All that matters in the end is that you and Chris will be married. I'm sure I won't have anyone at our VR recept for my children but all well. Don't care.

Also I wanted to tell you I live in CT too! I have been here all my life but want to move to FL due to the winter cold. I hate it! Ok off to finish reading!

Oh Jackie! I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I lost my mother 2 years ago to pancreatic cancer. She was only 60 years old. So I totally understand all of your emotions you're going through. I miss her every day but it does get better I promise.

Everything so far is just beautiful. I'm loving the Attic by the way, putting that on my places for our VR if we can. It's very charming.

Wedding Day: Part 13

Shortly after the F/D dance, a couple of party crashers showed up:

And I was ridiculously, little girl-ish excited! (I wish you could see my face here.)

I know some people act weird around characters because they don't know what to say to someone who can't talk back, but not me! I talk like them as if they could speak, and they always respond accordingly.

Randy decided that we were all going to move outside, as the background and lighting was better for pictures. Good plan, Randy!!

Chris and I split up for some more individual shots with the characters

(Yes, I am scratching Pluto's nose. He liked it.)

Mickey kept giving Pluto commands to Sit! and Stay! I had never really seen Mickey and Pluto interact all that much before (Mickey and Minnie, yes, but never with Pluto). It was really funny and sweet.

I'm telling you all, I was just having way too much fun with all of this. Dress me up, can't take me ANYWHERE!

Then, Mickey whispered sweet nothings in my ear.

So I gave him a kiss in return. Chris didn't mind; Mickey and I go WAY back.

Randy kept telling Pluto to "lift those ears up!!!"

As I'm going through this pictures, I am realizing that Chris isn't in any of them. He was just kind of standing off to the side, watching--- and everyone else was too. Usually I get really self conscious if people are watching me, but I really didn't care this time because, gosh darnit, Mickey and Pluto were at my wedding!

I guess at this point, I decided Chris could come back.

And then they kicked ME out! (The nerve!)

That's okay. I was off scratching Pluto.

Even Pluto left me though. What the heck, guys.

Awww. I like this one. I should mention that it had only been four days, but Chris and I were missing Smokey SO much. It was nice to have a dog at our wedding.

Mickey had to get a good look at my ring. (Or maybe he was proposing. That would have been bigamy on my part though.)

And then it was time for family pictures with the characters. I wouldn't have minded keeping them all to myself!

(I still wasn't happy with Lacy here, but I was with Mickey and holding my dress like a princess, so I dealt.)

I suppose even I have to admit this one is kind of cute...

I'm not going to post all of the family pictures, obviously. Just ones that I think are cute. So bear with me here.

When it was my dad's turn to get into some pictures, I said "Mickey! You'll never believe this, but he HATES Disney!" So, naturally, Pluto tackled him.

But, don't worry, my dad returned to the standard Serial Killer face. I like how in this picture, I look giddy, Chris looked awkward, and my dad looks like a Serial Killer.

I think I should mention somewhere here that the character handler was kind of a sourpuss. He kept giving us warnings about when our time was running out.

My gaga and grammy have bemoaned these pictures: because my gaga's combover came undone! Ha!

And I don't think I even remember this, but I apparently decided it was a good time to do some twirls.

I was having a grand ol' time!

I love how Sea Breeze is in the background. I think I'm going to go visit it every time we go to the World from now on. I really wish we could afford to stay at the BW for NYE, but $580 a night is a little steep for my pockets.

I wonder why I look so sneaky here?

I know I said I would only post the good ones, but I love how the look on my face changes from being next to Mickey to being next to Chris's mom. I guess I am easily amused though.

I let Chris and his mom take some pictures with the characters without me. (Even though it pained me! I wanted my character time!)

Phew. Then it was my turn again.

And now these are some of my FAVORITE pictures: I love how Mickey and Pluto are photobombing in the background. Well, I have a double chin going on--- but other than THAT, I love them.

And then it was time for Mickey and Pluto to say their goodbyes, which was so sad! So I said goodbye to them... and then Lacy went over and said "my mom wants my picture with them." (Apparently, I contaminated the pictures she took earlier?) Anyway, it really bugged me that this happened after the characters said goodbye to me: I hate to sound like a spoiled little brat, but they were there for ME, and they said goodbye, and so they were leaving. So go away! I think they thought this was weird too, because they said goodbye to me again.

I gave Pluto a kiss goodbye...

And away they went!

Yay! Jackie, I think these are the best character pics I've seen-- you look so incredibly happy! The one where Mickey is covering Pluto's eyes made me literally LOL. This is starting to become a theme with me, where I read your TR and say "My god why didn't I have ______ at our wedding??" Today it's the characters. It looks so so fun. Umm, and lacey popping in at the end WAS weird. The characters already said they had to go, so... what was confusing her? Like the kid in the park that runs up for a hug while the character is walking to their break location. Except she's an adult.
