Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

Ok there lady.. to answer your questions.. and comment on your comments on your on PJ post!!!

-You're comments are the best too!! :goodvibes But that could be because hardly anybody else comments on mine!! :rotfl2:
-If you call Wal-Mart studio professional pics.. then yes, they were professional! :thumbsup2
-Yes, I'm seriously debating getting the scarf myself when we go for our Christmas break.
-Chris is probably saying "please keep that psycho ***** away from our wedding!!!" ..."her and her baby rhino" :rotfl:
-We can't wait to see the lights. I wish we could've stayed the other night to see them.. but Charley didn't want to drive after dark! :sad2:
-Yes it is terrifying.. so go get that done ASAP!
-Becky sounds like a very wise woman!! :lmao: And she has cute feet tattoos?!?! Can't get better than that!!
-17 degrees just doesn't exist to me.. maybe to polar bears.. but not to Jennifer!! I :worship: you for braving that for the sales. But I hear there are some pretty good ones going on. And bravo for cheap gifts!! I lied. I forgot, we did get our parents something. I made them all a photo album on Snapfish. They came in today. Super cute, if I do say so myself!!
-My comments on your comments tend to be longer than the posts I make on my own TR!! hahaha That's so sad.

Wow, Jackie, you have been BUSY! :goodvibes Your favors are adorable!

I agree with the previous poster who commented on your most recent dress purchase--LOVE IT! :thumbsup2

We had a song played during our cake cutting (When I'm 64 by the Beatles)...I love your idea about playing the music from Love Actually. I am obsessed with that movie!

Thanks, sweetie! I'm glad to know that people played songs during their cake cutting--- I definitely will then. I LOVE "Love Actually," but I'm really anal about it and can only watch it at Christmastime. Almost time, then! :goodvibes

~Wow! You're getting so close!!
~ Glad to know your tooth is feeling better (I had tooth problems last week...one of my fillings fell out and I had to get it re-filled...boo!
~Yay for the Osborne Lights! (Although I am kinda biased about it since that's where we got engaged last year. We are so going back on the same day to see them again! (Dec 19!)
~ Definitely do the license sooner rather than later!
~I wanna see the Mickey Folders!
~I like the favors! And who cares if you NEED the favors..they're so cute!
~We had music at our cake cutting (the finale of Fantasmic)
~What is it with guys and procrastinating??
~And I love both dresses...so pretty!
~Have fun with your dad! (And I REFUSE to do Black Friday shopping! I either wait til later in the day and hope there's stuff left or wait til Cyber Monday)

Ugh, I'm sorry about your filling. I HATE toothaches. And I totally forgot you were engaged during the Lights... that is SUCH a great place/time to be engaged. I love it. :lovestruc And the Fantasmic song is also a fabulous choice for a
cake cutting song!

And I'll post the folders later, I promise. :)

ohhh I love love the dresses.

:)

Thanks!

I'm heading over to the Torrid website as soon as I post this. I think there's one at the mall about 20 minutes north of here. Hmmm... (Why is there no 'evil-y plotting' smiley?!)

Oh, I do so love that song, too! We recently finished up the entire series (Doug hadn't watched much past the first season, and I, being the good girlfriend at the time, purposely didn't watch the last episode.) So like 18 months later, I finally got to see it. And...mixed feelings. Desmond and Penny just make me so happy. And that episode? Oh, the sobbing! And there's no shame in being a LOSTie - I'm right there with you :goodvibes

Ohhh let me know if you got the dress, or any other dress. They have the most fabulous stuff, I swear.

OMG you didn't watch the last episode so you could watch it with your DF?!?! Now THAT'S love. I don't think my DF loves me enough to do anything like that for me. :lmao: I didn't like the finale at first, but after 12 hours I LOVED it. I still haven't rewatched it. I don't feel like I'm emotionally ready!

Don’t feel bad for not posting for 8 days, I haven’t posted for a month!!!!

Yay for the Osborne lights getting an extension!

I WANT TO SEE THE FOLDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE your wedding favors. They are cute! :goodvibes

Peter and I completed our playlist. Who would have thought that so much work went into a playlist? I was working on it alone and then Peter got involved. (Thank god he did because I was not even thinking about the flow of the songs. He arranged the songs so they flow properly)

You totally deserve that dress and it is going to look gorgeous on you!!! You are rocking all these pretty dresses!!!!

I go Black Friday shopping every year. It’s crazy but it’s so much fun, all you need is a strategy. My family judges me but I don’t care, there are good deals out there. Last year I got all the stuff Peter and I would need when we moved out. I have been looking at the ads this year and noticed that the deals are not as great. I compared a lot of the items I got last year to this year’s prices and everything went up. We made our shopping list for every store that we want to go to. This year we plan on just getting a few items and having fun because there is not too much that we need. The people where I live get pretty crazy. Last year Peter walked around Wal-Mart with a helmet on from the sports department and a bat. LOL! he was just having fun and he didn’t really use it.

-Ahhh! I'll post the folders soon, I promise! :D
-I like that Peter put so much thought into it. Chris and I just picked songs we like--- but our music isn't for dancing, just background music. And we really aren't even *in* to music, really! So we have "Sexyback" and "I Want It That Way" on the playlist. :lmao: It's really random.
-And thank you for the compliment, sweetie!
-LOL!!!! Are there pictures of Peter in a helmet and bat on facebook? If not, there should be. I kind of just go for fun... I don't really *need* anything. Well, I need to buy Chris some clothes, but I don't need a TV or a laptop or a digital camera, which are the usual big ticket items, you know? I love that Peter goes with you; I have to go alone!

Jackie sweetie - Just checking in!!! i want to see the folders too as the favours are lovely!!! What is Black Friday shopping????

-Gasp! You don't have Black Friday in England?!? That's okay, I'll forgive you, as you have the queen and Jane Austen's house. :lmao: It's a day where stores open at midnight and have super awesome sales and people go crazy and shop. it's fun!

Congrats on all your checks!!

Your favors are super cute and I love Becky's dress- so pretty! And, I love your dress! Fun! I love sparkles.

I'll cross my fingers that things with you and your dad stay pretty! ;)

And, I am a serious Black Friday shopper too! CANNOT WAIT!

Oh! I'm a lurker on TheKnot and I totally found you today!!! I stalked your planning website. :)

Love the favors! Your guests are getting awesome treats!
Also, MOH dress = smokin' !!! :lmao: It's really pretty.
And, your new dress purchase is so pretty! Love that it has sparkles.

Jackie...you are getting insanely close!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

PS. YAY BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING!!!! ;)

Thank you! And... I KNOW I AM SO CLOSE IT'S CRAZY GAHHH!!!! PS Go work on your TR or else.

My Disney Store is opening at midnight so I'm thinking about going, depending on what deals they offer. I don't know how early to get there because I suspect the vinylmations will probably be the most popular items! But I don't think they're super huge in this area so I'm not sure how many people will be there for them? Since it's midnight I don't want to spend the entire evening waiting... maybe just get there an hour or two early? It'll also depend on the deals that Disney Store is supposed to announce tomorrow and if I think they're worth it!

Yeah, I wonder what TDS will do. I hope something good. The mall I'm going to doesn't have a Disney Store (there is one nearby), but I think I'm going to shop TDS online this year. Or maybe I will resist! Maybe... not. Let me know what you do!

Ok there lady.. to answer your questions.. and comment on your comments on your on PJ post!!!

-Get the scarfffff and take pics plz.
-CAN YOU BRING THE RHINO TO THE WEDDING
-17 degrees is NOTHING! Last year we had some mornings where it was -3. Oh yes, I said -3. Oooooffff.
-I love our comments. :goodvibes

Just wanted to drop in and say hi!

Definitely do a song for the cake cutting if you want.

We did The Beatles "When I'm 64" for our first wedding. (Great choice, Lacey!!) We plan on using "When You Wish Upon A Star" this time.

So, I finally got photobucket to work, so here goes the Pluto story....

It was Saturday on the ship. We were docked at Castaway Cay, but since we had been there a couple of times before and we are not huge beach people we decided to stay on the ship. We were lounging at the adult pool and pretty much had it all to ourselves.

We decided to take a dip in the pool (again totally empty), but I happened to bring my camera to leave on the side so I could take pictures of the cool hot tub, since it has a clear floor and you can see all the way down. :scared1: As we are floating in the pool, Pluto and a handler randomly come out of nowhere. He was walking around saying hi to and goofing around with the few other adults that were there.

We called him over to the pool to say hi. When he got to the edge of the pool, he bent over and pretended to drink out of the pool. His handler started to yell at him! Of course, he looked all ashamed. :) I mentioned that our camera was on the other side and could we have a picture with Pluto even though we were in the pool and very wet. The handler said sure! So we went over to the area where we could stand (camera was there, too) and got this...

It was one of the best random character gets we have ever had!!!

Oh Beth, I LOVE this story!!! This is one of the cutest things I have ever heard. :D When I went on the DCL, I was a semi-bratty teenager, and I was "too cool" for characters. The characters ALWAYS realized this though, so they would try and make me laugh. I got to dance with Mickey on Castaway Cay, and it's definitely one of my favorites memories.

*********************************************
Hello all! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. :goodvibes

First: NWR Update (so if you're only interested in the wedding stuff, just scroll down! I won't be offended).

My Thanksgiving was all right, I suppose. The actual Thanksgiving Day was pretty good: we went to Maggiano's for their Thanksgiving meal, which is extremely tasty. I ate so much this weekend I'm a bit stressed about fitting into my dress! (I'm sure it will come off as I eat normally again... right? I'm too scared to weigh myself at the moment...). The rest of my visit with my dad was, in all honesty, just eh. He's kind of a lazy guy and doesn't really like doing anything, so we pretty much just hung out, but then he would complain that we weren't doing anything! We did end up going to the apple store and got him his first IPhone (because you really can't beat a free 3GS!), and he just played with it for hours and hours. He's obsessed with facebook, but he hates all of his facebook friends, so he would just read their statuses aloud in this squeaky, annoying voice. Really irritating.

AND, ugh, I've never mentioned it before because it's kind of personal and stuff, but my dad is an alcoholic, but there is an unspoken rule that there is no alcohol allowed in my house. He doesn't support me financially or anything anymore, so it's now my house, my rules. Well, I'm fairly certain he snuck some alcohol on the plane or SOMETHING because he was acting buzzed on Tuesday when I came home from school, and on Friday when I came home from BF shopping. I got really upset and pouted in my room for two hours. I just felt like I couldn't say anything because he is paying for my wedding, you know?

So now I'm just stressed that he's going to pull something similar during the wedding trip. He comes in on the 4th around 7:00, so there's not much time for him to pull anything on that day, and we're taking him to Epcot on the morning of the 5th. He's going out to dinner with Becky the MaOH's mom that night, so I won't have to babysit him. I -think- (I hope?) he knows enough not to drink on my wedding day; he's the sole reason I am not serving alcohol at our wedding. Which just blows for me because I would LOVE to kick back some sangria, but alas. I'm most worried about the 7th, the day after our wedding and the start of our honeymoon. We are going to Chef Mickey's with everyone that morning, but after breakfast we're saying goodbye and going off to enjoy our day at the GF. I've talked to my dad (who is kind of clingy... he's really lonely), and he SAYS he understand that I won't hang out with him the day after the wedding, but I never know. After the way he was acting on Friday, I was THISCLOSE to changing his flight to make him leave the 7th instead of the 8th, but I chickened out. Chris and I are just going to keep our cell phones off that day. Becky is going to chaperone him on the 7th, and she's always been good at keeping him in line, ever since we were kids. So we'll see. Sorry for the vent; it's just something I've stressed about lately.

ANYWAY, so I figured I'd post a little about Black Friday shopping too, seeing as a bunch of us were so excited! I woke up at 4am, and I was at the mall by 4:53am: pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. I had laid out my clothes the night before and had gotten my coffee all ready; I felt like the crazy lady in the Target commercials. My first stop was Macy's, and I picked up a pair of Levi's for DF for $40. They weren't exactly the style he likes, but they were close, and it wasn't the greatest deal ever, but I've never seen the "trendy," non-classic Levi's for any less than $35. Then I went to Banana Republic, but the people were snooty and the sales not fabulous, so I left. After that, I went to BR's cheaper little sister, The Gap, and I was so disappointed: last year on BF, everything was half off, but this year everything was 20-60% off: so some things were better, some things were worse. I got DF a long sleeved t-shirt, a dress shirt for work, a pair of black chino's for work, and a pair of sweatpants, and a long sleeved open black cardigan to go with all of my pretty dresses. I spent a total of $110 in The Gap which, overall, wasn't atrocious.

I don't remember where I went after The Gap... maybe Boston Store? I got DF another dress shirt, a pair of... gray? I think? That sounds right? chino's, and a really nice Nautica sweater that I would totally wear (but it's not girly or anything, I just love it!). I also drooled over a Kate Spade comforter, but I didn't buy it. I think I might though. It's a lot of money I don't have, but I want it. Yes, I realize I sound like a spoiled little girl. :lmao: Total spent at Boston Store: $85

Oh! I forgot I went to American Greetings and bought myself a My Little Pony ornament. :D

After Boston Store was Aldo, where I got DF some really nice loafers for $40, originally... I don't remember, $80-90. Then I got myself a pair of mittens at aerie, then walked into Bath and Body and promptly walked out. I got asked three times if I wanted a bag, and I just couldn't handle it!!!

If you couldn't tell, my main mission was to buy DF clothes. I am sick of all of his clothing, and he never buys it for himself. The guy also has a really nice TV and (literally) every single recent game system, from the newest PS3 to a 3DS. The boy need clothes!

After the mall, I went to Target, and I was SO glad I didn't go to Target at midnight. They still had EVERYTHING I came for. I picked up some stocking stuffers for DF and some socks (he has this thing about socks; it's weird), a new blanket for our bed because Smokey destroyed ours, and... something else. Toilet paper? Of course, I went back to Target today and bought some more things, including a really fuzzy Target Dog stuffed animal.

All in all, a successful Black Friday. It's one of my favorite days of the year; however, it was semi-ruined by my tipsy dad and, when I got home, Chris hardly looked up from his Zelda game and ignored me for a good hour and a half while he played. So I was pretty grumpy all day. Oh well.

Now: Onto the wedding stuff!

Sorry for the long, NWR post, guys and gals!

I promised to show pictures of the folders. Here's a sample:

photo12-2.jpg

photo13-2.jpg

We also did take our documents to get notarized, and we should have all of the wedding license info in the mail on Monday. DF STILL hasn't taken care of his sheet music, but I am going to pester him into doing it tomorrow. I think we might also do the seating chart tomorrow; if not tomorrow, then definitely Monday, although school is pretty crazy right now.

DF has also bought the following figurine for his sister for Christmas, but he decided I could have it instead, probably because he was mean to me on Friday. Regardless, it's so pretty:

photo11-2.jpg

Ariel in a wedding dress with a little dog! Although, I do wish it were Belle.

I really can't believe I leave for my wedding in 38 days! Gah!!! I am starting to get pretty stressed out. My aunt STILL hasn't booked her plane tickets, and if they get too high, I know she, my uncle, and my little cousin won't come: that's 3 people out of my measly number of 18! DF's best man still hasn't booked a hotel, and his groomsman hasn't booked a darn thing yet. My mom also doesn't have plane tickets, but she's "looked." FSIL does not have the sash to go to her dress yet, and neither DF nor I have had a real convo with her in months. I am REALLY trying not to let it get to me, but it's hard. At the end of the day though, all that matters is I get to be married to Chris, and I get to do it in the one place that means something to me in this world: and I get to eat cheddar cheese soup at my reception. I'm pretty sure that's all I need.

Before I wrap this update up, do any of you girls want to do a Christmas card exchange? If so, PLEASE PM me! I would love to. :lovestruc

* Sorry to hear about the drama with your dad! :( Hopefully he'll have his act together for the wedding, but I know it's probably still really frustrating and stressful.
* Sounds like your Black Friday shopping was pretty successful! We stopped at Michael's on our way home Thanksgiving night and it was completely deserted. But we were able to get some Christmas decorations for low prices! Lots of things were 40% off, and then there was a coupon for 30% off your entire purchase including sale items! So I got another building for my Christmas village for about $16. Haha it's a small village so far, only a theatre and a post office! :lmao: But this is the first year I really have my own places so we need so time to accumulate more decorations.
* Great folders, they are perfect!
* I know it can be really stressful having to worry about what other people are going to do and if they're going to be responsible. It seems like you have the right attitude though - the best you can do is just concentrate on what you have to do and try not to worry if everyone else has booked their plane tickets, etc.
* Yes, I would love to do a Christmas card exchange! I'll PM you now :)

Don't worry- you'll fit into your dress! Just start cutting back on the bad stuff!

Sorry to hear things weren't as plesant as you hoped with your dad. :(

Sounds like you got some good Black Friday sales! OMG- I LOVE My Little Pony! I secretly watch the show

The folders look great and I love the figurine.

Your day is so so close! Don't worry- it will all come together.

Great update, Jackie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved hearing about your Black Friday experiences. Unfortunately, I had to work on Friday so I couldn't go out and shop. :sad1: I think it's funny that you walked out of Bath and Body--those pushy salespeople bug me too! :lmao:

The folders are adorable. :goodvibes

Your posts always make me laugh. Thank you for that! :worship:

Oh, and Bethie---great minds think alike! :cool2:

Jackie, :hug::hug:

I had a whole response written out last night before I was headed to bed and a cat walked across the laptop and deleted it. GGGRRR..If he wasn't cute, he would be in real trouble. :lmao: So, let's try this again shall we...

Thanks for the Pluto story love. I have to admit that you were the first person I thought to tell after it happened. We love the cruise and we both feel that the character interaction on the cruise is better than in the parks. Especially, since they list where the characters will be in the schedule for the day. This way I know where and when to go to see Daisy! :) The random sightings are also amazing. There is nothing like walking around the corner of the ship and running into Stitch or having Pluto come poolside. ;) Hopefully, you and Chris can do one soon.

Love the folders. Your guests will love them! Can't believe you are so close. The time is going to fly.

Good job on the Black Friday stuff. Not the most exciting gifts for Chris, but sounds like he can use them.

Sorry that all of your guests are dragging their feet on travel arrangements. What could they possibly waiting for???? It is always amazing to me that people just don't do these things. We had a similar situation with my brother's family going to Arizona for our father's 80th birthday this past March. Eventually they all bought tickets, so hopefully your guests get with the program too.

Now, for tough topic. I am so sorry about your Dad. That really stinks. Paul and I know what you are going through because Paul's Dad (Charlie) was an alcoholic too. We and Paul's Mom worried constantly leading up to our wedding what Charlie would or wouldn't do. Charlie could be difficult when sober, but throw some alcohol into him and was a powder keg. I think that you are right in not offering alcohol at the reception. We had a cash bar (limits alot) and Paul's mom insisted on no bar for the rehearsal dinner. Some of my family went to the bar in the next room, but at least it wasn't right under Charlie's nose. Our situation turned out fine, since Charlie stepped up and behaved himself for his son. Hopefully, your Dad does the same.

Just remember that you can't control what he does on that day or any other. I think the fact that you have some buffers already in place is a great idea. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that all goes smoothly for you. If you ever want to talk, please feel free to contact me.

Love the holday card idea. I will send you the info. Have a great Sunday!!!

Lacey --- Massachusetts, Pink and The Beatles....we may be on to something here. :)

:grouphug:

Hello there Jackie!! :cutie:

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. That's a big bummer.. and no downplay on my part. I dealt with the same thing growing up, among other things. Luckily for me, my Dad's changed a lot. I'm grateful for that... for my little brother!! So enough of that..

On to the best method of commenting ever!!!
-SO glad you had a good Thanksgiving overall!! Don't worry about fitting in your dress. I've gained almost 10lbs since the wedding, and the dress fits better now than it did before! I know that because I've put it on since then!! :rotfl2:
-I think that's hilarious about your Dad and FB. My Mom's the same way!
-WTG on the BF shopping. You did very good! We didn't go. I did go online last night and spend $150 at the Disney store. Charley told me I could though. That's all it took! lol I'm glad you were able to get the DF some clothes you approve of! The Levi's were a pretty good deal to me. I spent almost $50 a piece on the ones from the Levi Outlet in Orlando. BTW I want a black cardigan...in case you were wondering! Did you get that at the Gap?
-Don't feel bad about the comforter. I really wanted some of the ones at the Ralph Lauren outlet, but I couldn't justify the cost.
-Charley & I are in love with the Target lady! She's super awesome.

Ok now to wedding stuff!
-Wow! Those are some snazzy folders! Where did you get that idea?! :thumbsup2
-:woohoo: I'm glad you got the marriage license take care of.
-Keep pressuring Chris to finish his stuff. You don't have much longer.
-At least he got you a present! :lmao:
-It's so aggravating worrying about everyone booking their crap. Just remember.. if you need guests, we're only a few hours away. :goodvibes
-Christmas card exchange sounds super fun!

Hiya Jackie!

Fingers crossed for you that you dad behaves himself during your trip, we had the same fears about one of my relatives, amongst over worries. I'm sure it'll all be fine.

The folders are really cute and may I say how jealous I am of your Ariel and little dog figurine. I keep hinting at James to by me some Precious memories but either he's thick or he's ignoring me lol

38 days away! thats comeing round fast, I'm excited for you, I really am. It's all going to be amazing! xx

-I hope my dad gets his act together too. At least I'll have Becky there, and his parents LOVE to lecture him. :lmao: So we'll see.
-Oh my, I giggled at your adorable little Christmas village. This is SO random, but my version of a Christmas village is a My Little Pony Christmas tree with some ponies around it. I know; I am SO mature. BUT, that's a really good deal: I love Michael's!

Don't worry- you'll fit into your dress! Just start cutting back on the bad stuff!

Pfffttt--- secretly watch MLP?! There's no secret! Do you go on the "bronies" website?! You'd love it. :D

Oh, and Bethie---great minds think alike!

Ughhh you had to work on BF?! Lame. At least you didn't have to work retail. (I've done it before, but I always enjoyed it because I'm a sadist; I'd rather shop though.) BBW drives me absolutely NUTTY! And I am glad I could make you laugh.

Jackie,

:grouphug:

First, to comment on the more lighthearted stuff: (Although, I must say, your house sounds like it gets into the greatest cat adventures!!!!)
-I agree, the character interaction on the cruises is definitely the best; probably because there are much more limited crowds, and probably because of the ship's expense! Although, I do love it in WDW when I saw a character go above and beyond: The Ariel and Eric that are in Adventureland are absolutely amazing. I saw them talk with this little girl for 15 minutes, and I was crying the whole time. :lmao: I can only imagine how her mom felt.
-Apparently, Chris's GM had booked his flight and hotel, and hadn't told us. Men are SO funny.
-And, as for the tough stuff: thank you so much for your long response. It is, thankfully, not something I have to deal with too much, as I am now 1,000 miles away from my family. It helps. I know avoiding it isn't the most "mature" thing to do, but I look at it as more of leaving a toxic environment, you know? My dad and I are typically fine when he's sober, but I just can't stand the drunkenness.

Hello there Jackie!!

-I'm so glad your dad changed. And for your little brother, I suppose! :goodvibes I'm an only child though. Darn kids.
-What did you buy at the Disney Store? I hope it was good stuff.
-Yes, I did get the black cardigan at the gap! It was a doorbuster, and was only $19. I really like it though. Here's a link to it: http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=8993&vid=1&pid=871056
-A little birdie (well, large for a birdie, she's 4' 10.5") told me about the folders! :lmao:
-Chris FINALLY picked a song. Thank God Almighty.

It's all going to be amazing! xx

LOL! Poor James. He needs to buy you some Precious Moments. Do you guys have TJ Maxx out there? That's where we got my Ariel, and she was only $17! They had a bunch of other ones in a similar price range too.

Thanks for all the comments, lovelies!

Hello There,
I can not believe I have not chimed in yet. Well where to begin....

- guests dragging their feet really stink! I bet that is annoying and I bet you wish you could go all bridezilla and be like "JUST DO IT ALREADY BECAUSE I SAID SO!!" Well we are here to allow you to vent so it's ok. Im sure people will get their crap together but perhaps you can kindly nudge them

- I love the mickey folders and it is helping me with my idea for what I will do for my welcome whatever I decide to do.

- I like the present you got that is super sweet I really like the dog we had that figure at my Hallmark store and I always thought it was cute but I am not a huge precious moments fan so I did not want to start myself down that path because I am a collector and I tend to want more to make a collection once I get one thing.

- I am glad you had a successful black friday I never go because I always used to work retail that day and so I just boycott it now

- Ok I LOVE my little pony my only disappointment is that you did not get a Hallmark ornament but it's ok I guess since we do not have a my little pony one this year. But we do have snoopy :) and what else was super cool this year....I like the disney ones and especially the one from Up!

- As far as your dad goes you have my sympathies I am not a drinker for many reasons some of them very similar to what you are dealing with. Greg and I both don't drink he used to but because of me and how I feel he is now a non drinker. I am sure he will be fine no matter what he decides to do. My advice to you though is to not take it on this time not for your wedding. Let it go and let him do what he is going to do. You have some people in place but it is not your fault that you can't be there for him every minute especially on your wedding day.

Well I hope things go well for you and I am super excited about the christmas cards!

Teresa

Thanks, Jackie!!! We do have the greatest cat adventures.

Sorry it's so big, but it was the best way to show gorgeous they are. :lovestruc

Hey girl hey!!!
Soooo, I know I've talked to you on facebook, but I'm just catching up on your pj! Love the folders! They look great!! And the favors. And the MOH dress. And everything :)
Ok, I'm up to date with your pj now. Must. Not. Fall. Behind.

Thanks for all the comments!
-Yes, you need the folders. They are 97 cents!
-Yeah, I actually like Hallmark better than American Greetings--- although, AmerGreetings DOES sell Taylor Swift cards. Y'all need to get on that!! (Yea, I have the musical tastes of a 15 year old girl.)
-We have quite a number of us on here that aren't big drinkers/aren't drinkers at all. It's so surprising! DF and I have always been the only ones, and it's awkward.

Thanks, Jackie!!! We do have the greatest cat adventures.

Awwww pretty kitties :D Smokey would howl at them...

KRISTI I MISSED YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

************************************
Um, guys? It's December. Do we know what that means?! Because I do: I am getting MARRIED NEXT MONTH!!!! EEEEKKK!!!! It's getting so close!

In wedding news, I had a phone call with my lovely, amazing planner Christy yesterday. I seriously think I have a girlcrush on her. She is just so speedy and efficient! We went over how everything is going to work, and she answered some questions I had about my BEO. I think the scariest thing for me is the flow of it all--- but I know they literally do over a thousand weddings a year, so I have to trust that *they* know the flow, even though I may not. I told my MOH this, and she said she'd make sure everything went right. :lmao:

Oh, Chris finally picked a song. He said he'd do it during his vacation (which was 9 days long!) and he did it the last day. Oh men. I also sent out our marriage license stuff--- which caused some annoyance between Chris and me. He said he'd pay for it, but then I left the envelope out, addressed, for two days, and he did not even mention it. So I gave up and paid. Not that big of a deal, but he's kind of a slacker sometimes! (And I'm a little Type A. Have you noticed?!)

Also, this is kind of big news: I finally bought a necklace!!! I got an email from Kate Spade a few days ago with a link to their online sample sale, and I fell in love with a necklace sight unseen. She came in yesterday... and she was a little bigger than I thought she would be. I've never been one for "statement jewelry," and I'm a fairly conservative, preppyish kind of gal. BUT, after I got over the shock, I fell in love with it. What do you all think?

Here's the necklace laid out (I love that it ties with a ribbon!)

And here's the necklace with the earrings. I was really tired yesterday, so I don't look my prettiest. Please be kind.

I'm mostly relieved to have it all done; I couldn't find anything I liked enough to spend lots of money on for ages. But I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.

We have also received our final budget, but I'm going to post that tomorrow. :goodvibes (Like I said, Christy is amazing! She had made all of the changes to our BEO and budget an hour after our phone call)

In non wedding related news... our dog Smokey turned two yesterday!

Here's a semi-recent picture of him (his head looks so big LOL!)

And here's one of him that we got from the adoption agency when he was only 8 weeks old:

I can't believe he was ever that little! I am sure those of you with furbabies understand. :goodvibes (Sorry for the little Smokey tangent; I talk about him a lot, especially to my students. I think they think I'm crazy.)

That's all for now! Hope you're all having a good morning.

*First of all let me start off by saying I feel like such a horrible friend because I didn’t post on your updates! I will not let that happen again!

*I am sorry about your father. You had every right to be upset.

*LOL about the Target lady! :rotfl: Good Job on finding some great deals!!!! At least your mission was accomplished and your DF will have some new style! I want to see the My Little Pony ornament! (And you sooo deserved
something after risking your life to fight off the Black Friday crowds!:thumbsup2) The sales people at Bath and Body Works can be so crazy (I used to be one lol) Sometimes it’s just like let the customer’s breath!

*LOVE the folders!

*Jackie, this month is going to fly by and before you know it you will be a married woman!:bride:

*There are always going to be people that book at the last minute, they just don’t understand our timeframes! Don’t worry though, everything will work out!

*Having a great wedding planner makes this experience that much easier. I am so happy that you love yours!

*Yay for Chris picking out a song!!!!! :yay:

*OMG JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT NECKLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That necklace and those earrings are going to look great with your dress!!!! You are going to look stunning!

*Can’t wait for the BEO!

*Happy Belated Birthday Smokey!

NEXT MONTH!!!
:cool1::yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::love:
:dogdance:party::Pinkbouncprincess::flower1:
And before I get lost in the world of smilies...

That necklace is amazing!!! It's going to go wonderfully with your dress! Love, love, love it!!!

* So glad to hear your planner is so on top of things! I know that must be a big relief, especially with some of the other stories on here about planners taking weeks to get stuff done.
* I can totally relate to your DF being a slacker! DH is the same way. He'll offer to do things, but then won't do them for weeks. And when I try to remind him he gets mad, saying that he hasn't forgotten and isn't being lazy, he just "hasn't planned on doing it yet." Like he's purposely waiting weeks to do some 15 minute task. For instance, he was supposed to wax the hood of my car about a month ago. Shocker, it's still not done. I may just go out and do it myself soon.
* The necklace looks so pretty! Like you, I don't really wear big jewelry pieces. But this is the time to be adventurous! I think it will look really good with your dress!
* Your dog looks so sweet! And he was so adorable when he was a puppy!
