Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

Smokey is so adorable - I just want to snuggle him! :goodvibes

Yay on finding jewelry! I think it'll look stunning with your dress.

Doug's kinda the same way on things. I know he's up early for work and all that, along with the hour commute each way, but sometimes, I just want to light some dynamite under his bum. :lmao:

Congrats and your jewelry is BEAUTIFUL! It is so perfect!! And your furbabies are adorable, we cannot wait to get our Christmas cat this year!!

:woohoo: Check out that pretty lady with them snazzy jewels!!!

Anyway.. seriously though, I love it! It looks great. I can't wait to see it with the dress. :cutie:

And we're moving on..
-I'm so glad your planner is so awesome. Do you know how awful I am? I still haven't sent Tanis a gift. I know.. I'm terrible. I can't even count how many times Charley's told me we need to get it. I even know what we're getting.. I just haven't done it. I'm a terrible, terrible person..cause she was super awesome. I'm definitely getting her a gift. Just saying, she might not remember who we are by the time she receives it!! :rotfl: (And don't judge me on this for Christmas presents :lmao: )
-Don't let the timing of everything stress you out. I was the same way. They know what they're doing. Everyone was joking that Tanis looked like Secret Service walking around with her walkie talkie cell phone ear piece thingie. (good enough description?)
-BTW, I was just looking at the necklace again.. I tried desperately to find a headband that was ribbon & bling. I didn't find 1 I was in love with though. Random thought there! :rotfl2: But it reminded me of the 1 the Cinderella dress model from the ad... let me just stop there with the randomness...I think I just need to eat.
-I'm ready to see your BEO!
-Me & Charley are definitely not drinkers either. Crazy huh?? The last drink I had was a frozen drink from City Walk 4th of July last year. lol And it about made me sick. Charley had a 2 beers over the honeymoon.. before that, I can't even tell you. That's why I tell him we have no friends!! :rotfl:
-I LOVE Smokey. Yay for birthdays!! I love my babies but they're crazy!!

....I think I'm done..

Hi Jackie sweetie - Just checking in!! Thanks for the explanation about black Friday!!! No, we don't have it here, but I wish we did as it sounds like great fun!!!
I hope your Dad steps up to the mark and behaves in a manner befitting such a beautiful and sweet daughter. Maybe he will realize how incredibly lucky he is to have you and behave!!
I love the necklace. It is so pretty!!
Smokey is a very handsome doggie!!
It is so exciting that you are so close now!!! Not long to wait!!
All my love sweetie

next month!!! & :scared1:

I know, right?!?! Thank you for chiming in!

I love your furbabies-- so sweet!-- and your necklace!

Yeah, Smokey LOOKS sweet... but he is certainly a handful! :lmao:

*First of all let me start off by saying I feel like such a horrible friend because I didn’t post on your updates! I will not let that happen again!

*I am sorry about your father. You had every right to be upset.

*LOL about the Target lady! :rotfl: Good Job on finding some great deals!!!! At least your mission was accomplished and your DF will have some new style! I want to see the My Little Pony ornament! (And you sooo deserved
something after risking your life to fight off the Black Friday crowds!:thumbsup2) The sales people at Bath and Body Works can be so crazy (I used to be one lol) Sometimes it’s just like let the customer’s breath!

*LOVE the folders!

*Jackie, this month is going to fly by and before you know it you will be a married woman!:bride:

*There are always going to be people that book at the last minute, they just don’t understand our timeframes! Don’t worry though, everything will work out!

*Having a great wedding planner makes this experience that much easier. I am so happy that you love yours!

*Yay for Chris picking out a song!!!!! :yay:

*OMG JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT NECKLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That necklace and those earrings are going to look great with your dress!!!! You are going to look stunning!

*Can’t wait for the BEO!

*Happy Belated Birthday Smokey!

-Wellll, next week you KIND of have a good reason to fall behind on my PJ. I guess your wedding is an adequate excuse...
-You were a BBW girl?!?! GASP!!!! That's okay, I've worked at Old Navy, Express, and American Eagle. I have annoyed many a person in my day.
-And you have Carol, right? I had her for awhile: she's fabulous too!
-I'm glad you like the necklace! I really can't tell you how shocked I was at its size (that's what she said) LOL
-Smokey says AROOOOOOOOOOOO

NEXT MONTH!!!
:cool1::yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::love:

That necklace is amazing!!! It's going to go wonderfully with your dress! Love, love, love it!!!

I'll probably have to delete some of the smilies. :( Which is so sad. :(

* So glad to hear your planner is so on top of things! I know that must be a big relief, especially with some of the other stories on here about planners taking weeks to get stuff done.
* I can totally relate to your DF being a slacker! DH is the same way. He'll offer to do things, but then won't do them for weeks. And when I try to remind him he gets mad, saying that he hasn't forgotten and isn't being lazy, he just "hasn't planned on doing it yet." Like he's purposely waiting weeks to do some 15 minute task. For instance, he was supposed to wax the hood of my car about a month ago. Shocker, it's still not done. I may just go out and do it myself soon.
* The necklace looks so pretty! Like you, I don't really wear big jewelry pieces. But this is the time to be adventurous! I think it will look really good with your dress!
* Your dog looks so sweet! And he was so adorable when he was a puppy!

-Omigosh, Becky, I had to laugh at your little DH rant. CHRIS DOES THE SAME THING!!!!!! "Oh, I just haven't gotten to it yet." WHY THE HECK NOT?!?! Do you think they do this to annoy us or what?!?!
-Thanks for the necklace compliments! I am feeling much more comfortable with it!
-And, Smokey also says AROOOO to you :D haha

Smokey is so adorable - I just want to snuggle him! :goodvibes

-Smokey is a great snuggler! He's really clingy. Last night he slept on Chris's legs LOL.
-And I think all men are like that. It comes with the territory, I guess--- but man, is it annoying!

Congrats and your jewelry is BEAUTIFUL! It is so perfect!! And your furbabies are adorable, we cannot wait to get our Christmas cat this year!!

-I can't wait until you get a cat either! And thank you! :)

:woohoo: Check out that pretty lady with them snazzy jewels!!!

Anyway.. seriously though, I love it! It looks great. I can't wait to see it with the dress.

-I LOVE Smokey. Yay for birthdays!! I love my babies but they're crazy!!

....I think I'm done..

-Jennifer, this post CRACKED me up. So random!
-Thanks for the catcall LOL!
-GO GET TANIS A GIFT!!!!! I think I'm going to get Christy a $50 gift card to Sephora. But I kind of want to get her something personal too. We talk about How I Met Your Mother a lot... maybe I'll get her a HIMYM coffee mug or something too.
-I really wanted a ribbon headband too, but the person at AA made me get a tiara because I am, apparently, a princess. (This is certainly a true statement.) Now I don't even remember what my tiara looks like: it's in Florida at my gparents' condo. I asked Grammy to take a picture and send it to me and she refuses to put only 2 pictures on the computer at once from her camera. Somehow, this makes sense in her mind. Oh, Grammy... LOL.
-Chris and I ALSO have no friends because we don't drink!!! And we live in Milwaukee... it's KIND of a big beer city.
-I'll bet Smokey is crazier than your babies. He can outcrazy ANYONE! Just like his mom.

-You should come here for BF! And then I can go there and I can see Jane Austen's house! Fair trade! :lmao:
-Awwwww. Your posts just make me smile so much. :D :D :D

Okay. Budget in next post!

All right, everyone! Here is our final budget: woohoo!!!!

WhiteDunnBudget7.jpg

WhiteDunnBudget8.jpg

I did the math, and we are only $275.80 over the minimum expenditure (before taxes): not too shabby!! We are also under the budget my dad set for me. As much I would love to add more stuff, the only thing I don't have on there that I want is the coach, and virtually everyone I know has told me the coach is just too much money and to "get over it, Jack" LOL. I really just want it because of the pretty white ponies. Chris said we could go to the stables at FW and try to find the ponies, which is fine with me.

I really hope this BEO helps someone out--- although, if we had had to add more stuff to meet a $12k minimum expenditure, I am not entirely sure what I would have added! We already have SO much food on our buffet, we have 2 characters, Major Domo, and a Model A Ford: AND two events! I guess I would have had to invite more people, but I am glad my wedding is small. :goodvibes (Not that there isn't a part of me that wishes I were having a big, blow out affair, but I think it's just one of those grass-is-greener things.)

I have also been keeping a budget of non-DFTW too, and I am going to post my final budget sometime before we leave for Florida. We have, however, spent roughly $4-5k on non Disney stuff (GAH!) but that includes my wedding ring and my dress.

Oh! In non budget news, my mom and her boyfriend finally booked their flights to Florida... but they're flying in to Orlando Sanford and taking a shuttle to Pop Century. This is not going to end well for me LOL. She was also "starting to stress" (starting?!?!) because she still doesn't have a dress to wear. Never a dull moment!

I have to go start the pot roast I'm cooking in the crock pot for dinner: have a great day, everyone.

Well your budget officially rocks and I wish that I was doing a wishes wedding now that I see you doing it for so cheap. Oh well though I think the swan and fulton's will still be awesome and my dessert party is getting set up and I still get to have my DHS photo shoot so I don't think I am missing out on too much.

I am so excited for you

Teresa

Your total looks great! Congrats on being under budget and only a little over the minimum! That's awesome! It definitely pays off to have a small wedding.

Hey, $4-5k for dress and rings isn't bad! You've done well.

Glad to hear that your mom is set with her resort and flights! Crossing my finger she gets a dress ASAP!

Aww, that's ok, you can kill off some smilies. :rotfl: ;)

Jackie, you are a girl after my own heart...making POT ROAST for dinner! :lovestruc That's my absolute FAVORITE. :goodvibes I love comfort food, mmmmmm. Can I come over? :upsidedow

So, the BEO looks great! :thumbsup2 I am really excited to see your list of non-Disney items, though. I thought about doing that myself, but after buying SO many things I lost count.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!

your beo looks great!!! i'm impressed!! i love the necklace too!!

the time is going to start flying now--trust me!!!

Hi Jackie, I know I'm late to join this party but I wanted to say congrats on everything! Your wedding will be fantastic, your dress is amazing and I absolutely love the ribbon topiaries you made! Everything has come together so well :)

Also, thank you for posting your BEO. It will be very helpful to me when I start planning my own DFTW, which will not be for a while but it will still be nice to have for reference.

PS - your furbaby is the cutest!!!

-Omigosh, Becky, I had to laugh at your little DH rant. CHRIS DOES THE SAME THING!!!!!! "Oh, I just haven't gotten to it yet." WHY THE HECK NOT?!?! Do you think they do this to annoy us or what?!?!

So funny enough, just this afternoon the MIL called me because she's been asking DH to do something for two weeks and he still hasn't done it yet. She needs help ordering some Christmas presents online (she's not very tech savvy), and she wanted me to remind DH to do it... I told her it would probably just be easier if I did it ;) The worst part is that they are just so stubborn! Even when he clearly forgot something he insists that he didn't do it yet on purpose.

I did the math, and we are only $275.80 over the minimum expenditure (before taxes): not too shabby!! We are also under the budget my dad set for me. I have to go start the pot roast I'm cooking in the crock pot for dinner: have a great day, everyone.

* Your final budget looks great! It's amazing how you were able to stay right near the minimum. And I'm happy to see the Major Domo on there! :woohoo:
* I agree that the coach would be really cool but I personally could not fathom paying that much money for it. So I think you're doing the right thing :thumbsup2
* I'm sure your mom will find a dress soon! Mine waited until the last minute too. But she found a good one eventually. We went to like a million stores and she couldn't find anything she liked, and then about three weeks before the wedding she found a dress on clearance at Dress Barn for about $40. Thank goodness!
* I got a crock pot for the wedding but haven't used it yet. I know it's really easy to cook with but I don't have any experience. Any suggestions of good recipes or food to make with it?

Hey Jackie,

Wow!!! What a necklace! Can't wait to see it with your dress. It's going to look lovely.

Happy Birthday to Smokey! He is adorable. What a cute little puppy he was.

Huge Congrats on the final BEO! Great job staying within the budget. Can't wait to hear about the Major Domo.

Thanks for the love for the 3 most handsome kittens (well, 8 and a half year old kittens). They are the best decision we ever made. :cool1:

I agree with Danielle, I love pot roast. Any leftovers??? ;)

And last, but not least :dance3:YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED NEXT MONTH!!! WOOHOO!!!:dance3:

Love the necklace!! And a big congrats on sticking so close the minimum--you're amazing!!! I can't believe how close it is....

Hello there buddy!!!

-I promise.. I'm getting Tanis' gift. She can just call it a wedding planning and Christmas gift.
-I beg to differ on the crazy dog thing. My English Cocker Spaniel, Bentley, is a pure psychotic..bipolar.. whatever you can throw out there.. he has. I shall have to video him and post it for you.
-That BEO looks super fantastic. I wish you had yours before we got ours and would might've been able to upgrade. :confused3 Oh well. Hello VR!
-I tried to keep up with all of the outside cost. I didn't have a lot of little purchases, besides the few DIY projects. But with the honeymoon, wedding bands, food cost, dress.. all that BS is probably around $4-5000..?? :confused3 Maybe? Can't really remember. But that doesn't include my engagement ring.
-So glad your Mom booked her flight..but damn she needs a dress. lol
-I love crock pot cooking. It's so easy!! But we really like grilling.. I don't do much grilling though. lol

Teresa

Thanks, Teresa! They HAVE upped the minimums by $2000 though, so our wedding probably would have been $3000ish more if we hadn't booked when we did: and that's a lot of money! I'm excited to see your DHS pictures--- I'll bet you'll have great SW ones :)

Your total looks great! Congrats on being under budget and only a little over the minimum! That's awesome! It definitely pays off to have a small wedding.

Heck yes, it does! I am so excited for my small wedding. (For some reason, my dad does seem to agree with me when I tell him he's ONLY had to spend $11,000. I wonder why?)

your beo looks great!!! i'm impressed!! i love the necklace too!!

the time is going to start flying now--trust me!!!

Thanks! I really want time to start flying by. I'm so excited!

Hi Kara! I am so glad to have you join in! Did you read through this whole thing?!?! If so, :worship: you have more patience than I do!!!

And Smokey says thank you. :goodvibes

Aww, that's ok, you can kill off some smilies. :rotfl: ;)

I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOUR WEDDING!!!

Danielle, there were tons of leftovers! Okay, this is NWR, but this was my first time making a pot roast and I bought one that was ENTIRELY too big for my crock pot and I had to cut off a huge chunk and it was really gross/messy/embarrassing/hilarious. I guess you had to be there hahaha but it was funny!

And my non-Disney list is rather... general. Like "250 for centerpieces." Stuff like that.

So funny enough, just this afternoon the MIL called me because she's been asking DH to do something for two weeks and he still hasn't done it yet. She needs help ordering some Christmas presents online (she's not very tech savvy), and she wanted me to remind DH to do it... Becky! I totally told Chris about how Jason says "I just haven't planned on doing it yet" and his response was "That's such a good idea! I have to use that!" :lmao: Oh men.

Oh good, I am glad my mom isn't the only procrastinator. I've been bugging her for MONTHS; I am actually regretting that I didn't just buy something for her to wear!

I got a crock pot at the same time as you did (for my shower!) and I am JUST using it. It is awesome, and with being a student, like you are too, it has been a LIFESAVER these past few weeks. I've been using this blog for my recipes:

http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2007/12/alphabetical-listing-of-recipes.html

I made the chicken parm in the crock pot and it was AMAZING, so was the old fashioned pot roast. I'm going to do crock pot lasagna tomorrow!

Hey Jackie,

Wow!!! What a necklace! Can't wait to see it with your dress. It's going to look lovely.

Thank you, Bethie! I miss when my little Smokey was a baby. But he still ACTS like a baby. :goodvibes What are your kittens' names?? And you can CERTAINLY travel to WI for pot roast leftovers; we'd love to have you! :D

Love the necklace!! And a big congrats on sticking so close the minimum--you're amazing!!! I can't believe how close it is....

-I love crock pot cooking. It's so easy!! But we really like grilling.. I don't do much grilling though. lol

We should have a crazy dog contest. When we boarded Smokey for 3 days, they christened him "Mr. Wild Man." And can I come to your VR???

And I tell Chris every day that we are so incredibly lucky not to have to pay for our honeymoon, and he always says "we have to pay for SOME of it." Um, Chris, we just have to pay for food and my dooney and bourke obsession. Get over it!!!!

We bought a grill and used it... once. :lmao: It was SO good, but it was just a tiny little charcoal grill that was a PIA to use and Chris is so lazy. And it's not really grilling weather here anymore. (It was 30 degrees here today, missy! You would freeze!)

My sweet Jackie - Well done on the budget!!! You did really well hun!!

So I just sat for two days and read your amazing PJ!

*Congrats for being so close....Next month ! YAY! :yay:
*Your dress is gorgeous and you look so beautiful in it!
*Your wedding band is great and goes perfect with your engagement ring!
*I loved your e-pics! I'm happy to see someone else wearing the sparkly pink TOMS....people thought I was crazy.
* I have the same Dooney as you...both actually, and just like you they are my only two designer purses! I always get compliments on them!
*Yay for teachers! :teacher: Congrats on the TiA job! I teach Pre-K in a low income school and I don't think I could do anything else! They are like my kids!
* Your PJ is so wonderful! I'm keeping my eyes on you! popcorn::

Hi Jackie! I hear ya regarding your dad's drinking - and for living far away from family issues (my fam has plenty and I have conveniently moved from CT to NC... not exactly on purpose, but it helps ;)). I'll be thinking of you and hoping everything turns out beautifully (and drama free!) for your big day! Next month! I just got back from my wedding and Disneymoon and I'm ready to go back! I may have to drive down and crash some weddings!
