Jackie,
Glad you liked the bag! I do too.

They did have the regular cruise pattern as well. I bought one with that pattern last October when we were on the Wonder. (I have a problem too!

) Enjoy your new bag. You will post pictures, right?
I have maybe sewed 2 or 3 buttons in my life. That's why there are tailors and dry cleaners? Right?
I can't believe your FMIL (of all people) supports your decision. Lacy must have been really bad! I hope things calm down for the next few weeks, but if not you have us to talk to. If you need me to go to CT and kick butt, I will do my best.
Good job on the retail therapy!
Of COURSE I will post pictures of my as-of-yet-non-existant-new-DB bag. And you'll appreciate this: the last time I needed a button sewed onto my coat I brought it to the tailor down the street, and he told me I didn't need to pay him, just bring him a coffee. But I never did!

So I had to sew it myself.
I really can't believe my FMIL supports the decision either. I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to fall.
Doug gave me the strangest look when I laughing hysterically at that paragraph.
Why can't all the cool people live closer together?!
Hahaha! I wish we all lived in the same town. A Disbride town...
Thanks Jackie
I hope you start a PJ or start posting more soon!
That's great that Chris' mom is on your side for this one

I couldn't even imaging the potential freak outs at your wedding...the way she has been going. You are totally better off and your day is going to be amazing and with one less thing to stress about you will be able to enjoy it a lot more!
I agree! Thanks, Nancy!
I am happy to hear that the drama is being taken care of well before you're actually walking down the aisle, and equally happy to hear about your DF's mom's reaction. I really can't believe some people! How little regard they have for the feelings of others or the effect of their own words (except if the words bring about some morbid satisfaction to themselves). What a ridiculous person, you are much better off without her!
I agree! People are ridiculous sometimes. I still just can't grasp her mindset.
Awwww, so sorry to hear about all the drama Jackie! I know this is very cliche, but honestly, if she is selfish enough to cause so much drama before the wedding, you probably didn't want her involved anyway!
I hope your day is magical in every way! Hopefully we bump into you somewhere so I can say congrats in person!
Thank you, Christin! Hopefully we bump into each other! If you were going to be there on the 6th, I would totally encourage you to stalk my ceremony.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!!!

And, more than that: I'm getting married IN THIRTEEN DAYS!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I'm also feeling a lot better, mostly because of a lot of you. Thank you so much for all of your kind words, they really helped get my spirit up.

I love DF with all my heart, but he's not so good with that stuff sometimes, especially when he's upset too. But we're mostly over it, and I'm even joking about it now. ("Making phone calls" has become a VERY laughable topic!)
Oh, you'll all find this HILARIOUS. Wait for it, wait for it: I talked to my mom today (she was actually pleasant) and my grandfather and his lady friend got into an argument and they aren't together anymore!

But it was SUCH A BIG DEAL THAT THEY COULDN'T COME! And my mother has to send back the mink coat and the teal pantsuit. What a shame. Oddly, my mom did say "I have something to tell you, but I can't tell you until Monday. Don't worry I'm not dying though," which was just really weird.

But I'm not too worried. I have other things to think about!
On to the wedding stuff!!!
I bought a new t-shirt and made a new Bride shirt. It looks SO much better than the first one, and it took less than a minute to make:
I figure I'll still bring the crappy one and wear it to bed or when I'm getting ready for my Epcot portraits or something. It's not terribly offensive by any means.
I also got a picture of the MOH and MAHs presents. I packed them all, I'm just waiting on their thank you cards. I went a littttle overboard:
Each girl is getting the bag, the sweats, the t-shirts, an eye mask, a large Disney princess pen (who doesn't need one of those?!), a bridesmaid bandana, and this Pandora charm:
I'm also paying for their hair (they didn't want professional makeup), and I'm taking them out to 1900 Park Fare the night before the wedding, although I am -hoping- my dad gives me money for one of those. Regardless, I think I'm taking good care of them!
In other wedding news, the fabulous, amazing Disbride Melissa (pinkmiss3 who REALLY needs to start her TR soon because I am dying to read about her wedding... cough cough...) sent me her Cinderella bracelet for my "something borrowed." Isn't it gorgeous???
I can't WAIT to wear it.

She also sent me a Bride sweatshirt (it's a little small, but looks fine unzipped) and some "Do You Know Your Bride/Groom" books with questions for Chris and me to answer about each other. We've been having SO much fun with the questions! I appreciate it all SO much.
Just a few more things: my centerpieces arrived in Florida, and my grandparents actually figured out how to assemble them. (It was touch and go for awhile there, I received two phone calls even though all they had to do was put a stick in a vase... oh Grammy.) This is the first picture I have of them all together, and they look great:
She also remembered to take a picture of my tiara! I had completely forgotten what it looked like! I bought it in March when I bought my dress.
It's pretty! I'm glad I still like it.
Oh, I'm sure you all heard about this, but I am just so unhappy that I won't be able to load any more money to my honeymoon registry card after Dec 31. It's rather inconsiderate to us January brides! I'm not going to do the new one: the 7% service charge irks me. It's really just a mild inconvenience, but it's still an inconvenience. They should make it up to me by giving me one of those spiffy Disney Honeymoon bags.
I had a minor heart attack because accuweather is predicting snow for January 3rd (the day we leave), but it's just an inch, and another website isn't predicting any snow at all. So I think it's a little soon for me to freak out about weather, regardless. (But we all know I still will...

)
Okay, that's it for this massive update. I am going to try my hardest not to come on the boards tomorrow: I want to spend quality time with DF and Smokey, who is cuddling with me right now. (Smokey, not DF!) I want to watch movies and snuggle. I started cooking my first Christmas dinner today: I made stuffing from scratch, and garlic parmesan mashed potatoes, as well as cookies and oreo cream pie. I'm making turkey, carrots, and rolls tomorrow. There will be many leftovers if anyone is hungry!

Have a Merry Christmas, everyone!!!
