Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

I'm glad his mom agrees that she shouldn't go. I vote no to her going to any and all family gatherings ;)

Shopping and sweets are always the remedy to anything, as far as I'm concerned. :goodvibes

Ooh! Idea! Maybe by having all the drama and crazy happen NOW, everything will go 150% completely smooth for all of next year ;)

I partook in both shopping AND sweets today! :) And I hope your prediction is right!

I'm just joining after reading your whole PJ. I'm so sorry your dealing with FSIL drama. I'm glad she step down. Your wedding will be fabulous. You've done a great job.

Amy

Thank you so much, Amy, and welcome to the boards!!!

Hello my friend!

I've been reading along with all of the updates while I was at work. I was able to quickly post on FB, but it's hard to post on the boards from my phone... but I'm home now!!

*** is her problem?!?! I seriously agree with others when they say misery loves company. She must be having a terrible time in her own relationship (her fault or not...and I personally LOVED the cheating comment..something I would've said myself :rolleyes1 ), but that's no reason to rain on your parade. She sounds very resentful that you and Chris are so happy and in love. She should be ecstatic for her brother right now, but she's being a ***** instead.

I think everything happens for a reason.. ie. she would've totally screwed some **** up at your wedding!! :thumbsup2 so it's a good thing she won't be there now! Just saying!!

Speaking for myself, and I'm sure everyone on the wedding boards.. we are super freakin excited for your wedding. I'm sure if all of us girls (and the occasional guy) could go to each others' weddings, we definitely would!!! (Plus I think it would be hilarious for several of us to be walking around in the same wedding dress, hanging out together.. like it was something that happened everyday!!

It just really blows my mind that she's trying to transfer the blame for everything onto you guys! :confused3 Seriously, just own up to how f*ed up your life is right now and deal with it!!!

As I said before, we don't know each other "personally", but we have been talking for a while (about your absentee bridesmaid, if I recall correctly).. and I adore you!! :cutie: I love reading your comments on my TR. They make me smile!! I don't have many friends outside of work. It's really just me and Charley.. so I really value the friendships I have with all of you gals (and occasional dude)!!!! :grouphug:

So enough of that sappy BS... if she says anything else, ***** slap her and be done with it. You've been nice enough as it is!!

:dogdance: It's almost time for you to get MARRIED!!!

Yeah girl, that's right... I said it.. Do the banana!!!

(And as I type this, I have a little diddy in my head going and my booty wiggling in this chair)

:rotfl2:

-You have an iphone, right? Posting from an iphone is a PIA!!!
-I agree. I am actually starting to be GLAD she went all crazy now, rather than at the wedding? Could you imagine if she had a little girl attack like this one? I would have socked her one, and then socked her another one if any blood got on my dress.
-And I'm the same way: I don't have many friends here in WI, and right now, all of the friends I DO have are home until January. It's lonely sometimes, and it makes me appreciate you (and all of my other Disbrides) SO much. :lovestruc
-And I did dance a little. Just so you know.

Jackie,

Glad you liked the bag! I do too. :rotfl2: They did have the regular cruise pattern as well. I bought one with that pattern last October when we were on the Wonder. (I have a problem too! :lmao:) Enjoy your new bag. You will post pictures, right?

I have maybe sewed 2 or 3 buttons in my life. That's why there are tailors and dry cleaners? Right?

I can't believe your FMIL (of all people) supports your decision. Lacy must have been really bad! I hope things calm down for the next few weeks, but if not you have us to talk to. If you need me to go to CT and kick butt, I will do my best. ;)

Good job on the retail therapy!

Doug gave me the strangest look when I laughing hysterically at that paragraph. :rotfl:

Why can't all the cool people live closer together?!

That's great that Chris' mom is on your side for this one :thumbsup2 I couldn't even imaging the potential freak outs at your wedding...the way she has been going. You are totally better off and your day is going to be amazing and with one less thing to stress about you will be able to enjoy it a lot more!

I am happy to hear that the drama is being taken care of well before you're actually walking down the aisle, and equally happy to hear about your DF's mom's reaction. I really can't believe some people! How little regard they have for the feelings of others or the effect of their own words (except if the words bring about some morbid satisfaction to themselves). What a ridiculous person, you are much better off without her!

Awwww, so sorry to hear about all the drama Jackie! I know this is very cliche, but honestly, if she is selfish enough to cause so much drama before the wedding, you probably didn't want her involved anyway!

I hope your day is magical in every way! Hopefully we bump into you somewhere so I can say congrats in person! :wizard:

Of COURSE I will post pictures of my as-of-yet-non-existant-new-DB bag. And you'll appreciate this: the last time I needed a button sewed onto my coat I brought it to the tailor down the street, and he told me I didn't need to pay him, just bring him a coffee. But I never did! :lmao: So I had to sew it myself.

I really can't believe my FMIL supports the decision either. I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Doug gave me the strangest look when I laughing hysterically at that paragraph. :rotfl:

Hahaha! I wish we all lived in the same town. A Disbride town...

Thanks Jackie :)

I hope you start a PJ or start posting more soon! :D

I agree! Thanks, Nancy!

I agree! People are ridiculous sometimes. I still just can't grasp her mindset.

Thank you, Christin! Hopefully we bump into each other! If you were going to be there on the 6th, I would totally encourage you to stalk my ceremony.

************************
Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!!! :goodvibes And, more than that: I'm getting married IN THIRTEEN DAYS!!!!! GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I'm also feeling a lot better, mostly because of a lot of you. Thank you so much for all of your kind words, they really helped get my spirit up. :) I love DF with all my heart, but he's not so good with that stuff sometimes, especially when he's upset too. But we're mostly over it, and I'm even joking about it now. ("Making phone calls" has become a VERY laughable topic!)

Oh, you'll all find this HILARIOUS. Wait for it, wait for it: I talked to my mom today (she was actually pleasant) and my grandfather and his lady friend got into an argument and they aren't together anymore! :lmao: But it was SUCH A BIG DEAL THAT THEY COULDN'T COME! And my mother has to send back the mink coat and the teal pantsuit. What a shame. Oddly, my mom did say "I have something to tell you, but I can't tell you until Monday. Don't worry I'm not dying though," which was just really weird. :confused3 But I'm not too worried. I have other things to think about!

On to the wedding stuff!!!

I bought a new t-shirt and made a new Bride shirt. It looks SO much better than the first one, and it took less than a minute to make:

photo10-3.jpg

I figure I'll still bring the crappy one and wear it to bed or when I'm getting ready for my Epcot portraits or something. It's not terribly offensive by any means.

I also got a picture of the MOH and MAHs presents. I packed them all, I'm just waiting on their thank you cards. I went a littttle overboard:

photo9-3.jpg

Each girl is getting the bag, the sweats, the t-shirts, an eye mask, a large Disney princess pen (who doesn't need one of those?!), a bridesmaid bandana, and this Pandora charm:

790573RHL-th.jpg

I'm also paying for their hair (they didn't want professional makeup), and I'm taking them out to 1900 Park Fare the night before the wedding, although I am -hoping- my dad gives me money for one of those. Regardless, I think I'm taking good care of them!

In other wedding news, the fabulous, amazing Disbride Melissa (pinkmiss3 who REALLY needs to start her TR soon because I am dying to read about her wedding... cough cough...) sent me her Cinderella bracelet for my "something borrowed." Isn't it gorgeous???

photo11-3.jpg

I can't WAIT to wear it. :lovestruc She also sent me a Bride sweatshirt (it's a little small, but looks fine unzipped) and some "Do You Know Your Bride/Groom" books with questions for Chris and me to answer about each other. We've been having SO much fun with the questions! I appreciate it all SO much.

Just a few more things: my centerpieces arrived in Florida, and my grandparents actually figured out how to assemble them. (It was touch and go for awhile there, I received two phone calls even though all they had to do was put a stick in a vase... oh Grammy.) This is the first picture I have of them all together, and they look great:

100_1737.jpg

She also remembered to take a picture of my tiara! I had completely forgotten what it looked like! I bought it in March when I bought my dress.

100_1735.jpg

It's pretty! I'm glad I still like it.

Oh, I'm sure you all heard about this, but I am just so unhappy that I won't be able to load any more money to my honeymoon registry card after Dec 31. It's rather inconsiderate to us January brides! I'm not going to do the new one: the 7% service charge irks me. It's really just a mild inconvenience, but it's still an inconvenience. They should make it up to me by giving me one of those spiffy Disney Honeymoon bags.

I had a minor heart attack because accuweather is predicting snow for January 3rd (the day we leave), but it's just an inch, and another website isn't predicting any snow at all. So I think it's a little soon for me to freak out about weather, regardless. (But we all know I still will... :rolleyes1)

Okay, that's it for this massive update. I am going to try my hardest not to come on the boards tomorrow: I want to spend quality time with DF and Smokey, who is cuddling with me right now. (Smokey, not DF!) I want to watch movies and snuggle. I started cooking my first Christmas dinner today: I made stuffing from scratch, and garlic parmesan mashed potatoes, as well as cookies and oreo cream pie. I'm making turkey, carrots, and rolls tomorrow. There will be many leftovers if anyone is hungry! :rotfl: Have a Merry Christmas, everyone!!!

13 days :woohoo: I LOVE THAT BRACELET!!!!!!!! & the bling in ur tiara... great post :thumbsup2 Im happy 2 hear that ur happy :goodvibes

* What a shame that your mom has to send back the teal pantsuit! :lmao:
* I love the new Bride t-shirt, it looks great!
* You really do know how to treat your bridal party well! Those are lucky, lucky girls!!
* That was so sweet for Melissa to send you the bracelet, and the other stuff as well. The bracelet is just gorgeous, I'm sure it will look wonderful and I love how it also counts as your something borrowed!
* Your centerpieces look so good. I think they'll look fantastic in the Attic.
* Love your tiara - it's simple yet elegant.
* I haven't been keeping up with the registry drama since I'm done with it, so I don't know all of the details. A 7% service charge sounds REALLY dumb though. I know if I was giving a gift, if I knew 7% was being taken out I wouldn't use it - that can really add up! I think we had over $700 on our card - that would be around $50 removed from it! Bad enough that they could never get their stupid website to work. Hopefully your guests have used your registry before the New Year. I know that most of the people that actually went to the effort to yours ours did it pretty far in advance.
* Try not to panic about the weather! I was doing the same thing from 10 days out - checking the rain potential every day, and it literally changed every time I checked it. But it turned out beautiful, and I'm sure it will be that way for you too!

Hi Jackie! Merry Christmas! Just got caught up after what feels like forever! I'm so glad the drama with Chris's sister is over with AND that his mother agreed that she should not be at the wedding. That's huge! And this sounds bad, but I'm glad things didn't work out for your grandfather and his lady friend! ;) The centerpieces look great and I love your bridesmaids goodies. Those sweatpants are amazing!!! I hope you are super excited and not stressing out too much! Oh and I totally fantasize about weekend trips to Disney all the time - I hope the trip in May works out!

Sounds like everything is working out and coming together. You must be sooooo excited!!! I can't wait to hear all about it, I know it will be magical!!

Jackie,

I hope you and Chris (Smokey, too!) had a nice quiet Christmas.

*Love the bags for your girls! They will love them! The charm is adorable.
* I am shocked :scared1: that Grandpa and his lady friend broke up. So sad that they can't come now. :rolleyes1
* So sad that Mom had return the teal pantsuit. I was really looking forward to those pics. ;)
* Love the bracelet. That was awesome of Melissa to send it to you.
* Glad all your stuff has made it to Florida. So happy for you that your Grandma is excited about your wedding.
* The tiara is lovely. You will definitely look like a princess NEXT WEEK!
* Don't worry about the weather, yet. It will change about 10 more times before next Friday.

THIS TIME NEXT WEEK, YOU WILL BE IN WDW, GETTING READY TO GET MARRIED!! WOOHOO!!!

So, I am curious, what was the big secret from Mom?

Take care and try to relax and enjoy the next few days.

I'm so glad you're feeling better!

I'm SO SO SO happy that Mom is sending back her teal pantsuit, etc and that Grandma and his lady aren't together anymore. Well, I'm sad for your grandfather but happy you don't have to deal with taht any more

Your shirt looks so cute!

The presents look adorable and I like the bracelet! So sweet!

Your centerpieces look AWESOME and your tiara is perfect!

Crossing my fingers for good weather..!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

I am loving those presents you put together, they look fantastic! I love the tiara, it's gorgeous! Your centerpieces are going to be so fun, can't wait to see pictures of them on the day. I am also happy to hear about the situation with your mom and grandfather is going away, and with perhaps the least amount of trouble for you!

A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Your wedding so close, so exciting!

I know; I love that I have a disbride something borrowed. :goodvibes And I am also SO sad about the pantsuit: I was actually starting to look forward to it. I also added all of our money to the disney gift card: it took FOREVER though! But at least the gift card is pretty.

And the weather is at 71 and party cloudy for January 6th: absolutely perfect for now!

Your centerpieces are so cool, I haven't ever seen anything like that!! I love them!

Thanks!!! They took a lot of work. They're shiny.

Merry Christmas! I'm glad things didn't work out with my grandfather and his lady friend too. I haven't seen the man since I was 16; I don't really care. I also LOVE the sweats: I am a lazy pants freak! I never wear real clothes inside haha.

Sounds like everything is working out and coming together. You must be sooooo excited!!! I can't wait to hear all about it, I know it will be magical!!

Thank you! <3

You're getting married next week!!! :yay::yay::yay::hug::bride:

I'M GETTING MARRIED ONE DAY FROM TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie,

I hope you and Chris (Smokey, too!) had a nice quiet Christmas.

*Love the bags for your girls! They will love them! The charm is adorable.

So, I am curious, what was the big secret from Mom?

Take care and try to relax and enjoy the next few days.

I hope you and Paulie and the kitties had a nice and quiet Christmas too! And since you brought it up... Smokey was SO overstimulated; it was SO funny! We were giving him his presents, but then he just gave up and got his own and unwrapped them by himself. (He knew which ones were his.) He also managed to destroy 8 toys in 2 hours. Completely destroy. I love that dog!

And I wish I knew the secret from my mom; she still hasn't called me to tell me. Oh well!

I'm so glad you're feeling better!

I'm SO SO SO happy that Mom is sending back her teal pantsuit, etc and that Grandma and his lady aren't together anymore. Well, I'm sad for your grandfather but happy you don't have to deal with taht any more

Your centerpieces look AWESOME and your tiara is perfect!

Crossing my fingers for good weather..!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks, Faith! I think they were only together, for, like, 2 weeks. Ever since his wife died (who was SO mean to me when I was a little girl!), he's had, like, 10 new ladies. What's up with that?!

Thank you so much! I hope the girls like them. I'm hoping the CPs work out well in The Attic: I think they will, but you can never tell for sure. And Merry Christmas to you, too!

**************************
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Sorry I haven't posted since then. Christmas was really good here; Chris liked all of his clothes, but I think he liked the little Snoopy figurine I gave him best. Also, the Raptar keychain. (Yes, like from Rugrats.) My big gift from him was a Keurig!!! I love it. It's so quick!!! He also got me a Kinect (which is totally really for him.... :rolleyes1), but my gift was Disneyland Adventures to go with the Kinect. It's a lot of fun, but we both remarked how it feels like bizarro world: things look the MK, but don't at the same time.

I figured people would give me weddingy stuff for Christmas, but no one did! I did get $275 worth of Disney gift cards (my dad gave me the one with cinderella and prince charming on their wedding day), and that's all going straight to the honeymoon fund. Chris and I had a contest though for who could save more, and I beat his butt by like $5-600. SO, he said I could buy two Disney dooneys! Woohoo! Actually, he COMMANDED me to haha.

Lacy also texted me on Christmas and said "Merry Christmas. I love you. I'm sorry," but I didn't respond because I am DONE talking to her via electronic modes of communication. If she had wanted to apologize, she should have called me. BUT, as those of you in the facebook group know, she posted this on facebook last night (I am not friends with her anymore; my MAH saw it and got PISSED and had to show me):

374713_706982484401_13003576_35220840_1818145907_n.jpg

Can you believe that?! I keep thinking "I must be crazy! Why would she call me fat on facebook?" and part of me thinks "Oh, she must be referring to her Anorexic issues"... but she blatantly uses my name, and then posts that immature picture. Like, really??! Chris got SO mad last night; I don't remember the last time I saw him that angry. I was a little hurt, but moreso at the posting (in a public forum where people I know can see it) than at the insult itself. If the worse thing that she can say about me is that I am not-skinny (which, um, I knew already?), then I suppose I could have worse problems. Chris is just tired of his family treating me like crap, especially when I have been nothing but peachy keen to them. Ho hum. I'm not upset anymore or anything, just irritated.

She just better not even TRY to step ANYWHERE near my wedding. Or I will BEAT HER SKINNY, NON-EXISTENT BUTT!!!!!!!!

Let's see. I emailed a bunch of people yesterday about wedding stuff (pre-paying, figuring out a timeline with Randy, a few questions for Rev Jack), and I'm waiting on some replies. I need to pre-pay Carolyn Allen today, and I'm just waiting on a reply from Veronica at Beaute Speciale so I can pay them.

Today, I'm going bra shopping (my bras are falling apart! I know you needed to know that), and picking up some toiletries for the trip. I've semi-started packing: woohoo!! I leave in FIVE DAYS!!!!! FIVE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!

I'll probably be posting every day until then. I hope you don't mind. I love all of my Disbride SILs. :)

I have already commented on the craziness on FB lol and like we have all said...we can be your sisters in law :)

I really want to comment on the bra thing....seriously...check out Lane Bryant!!! I got my bras there and I LOVE them! They are little bit pricier but they have lasted so much longer than normal bras and they have kept their shape wash after wash! Also, they usually have a deal like a buy one get one half off type thing. Good luck!

* Jackie! My DH also gave me a Kinect which is really for him as well! In fact, he even wrote "To Becky and Jason, from Santa" on the package! We only have the games it comes with for it, but I really want to get the Disneyland one.
* I know I already commented on facebook, but what Lacy did is just so petty and disgusting. To post it on facebook is just awful and dumb. Especially with the little heart in front of it... grr, it just makes me so mad! I hope some people commented on it and told her she's an idiot! Glad you're not too upset about it, but it still sucks.
* Yay bra shopping! Now's a great time to do it because there are so many good sales. I splurged on a really nice one from Victoria's Secret for the wedding.
* Can't believe you are so close to leaving!! Feel free to post all the time here!
