Jackets in Feb

We are leaving in two weeks. I had planned on just bringing cardigan sweaters or Zip up sweat shirts. Wonder if we will actually need spring type jackets??

ITs - 10 degrees right now where I live so anything is going to feel better than this!

I'm also going in Feb. I'm just going to start watching the weather before we go. I think if you have a couple of sweaters or sweatshirts and a wind jacket that will be enough, then again, when it was 10 degrees out yesterday I had a sweater on with gloves, no jacket. LOL

akstory - When we were there last year the kids all brought sweatshirts but not jackets. It was chilly that week. Most of them ended up buying either another sweatshirt, a jacket, or a blanket not to mention hat and gloves. I went with a school group and the adult in charge told the kids not to bring a coat. DUH!
Anyway, I wore a spring jacket and sweatshirt on the plane since I tend to get cold. I was comfortable at Disney with my spring coat although in the mornings and evenings I did wear a sweatshirt under my coat. I just wish I had taken gloves. The year before when our school went they did not need coats.

We always go in late Jan/early Feb and never bring jackets. Usually just some sort of thicker sweater and something thinner as well, that way we can double up if it gets really chilly! (last winter it was nearly colder down in FL that the temps here in Idaho! But our doubled up sweatshirts sufficed!)

Over four years of Feb trips I have been swimming some years and needed to wear a parka, hat and gloves on other trips. We brings lots of layers -- tshirts, flannel shirts, zipped hoodies, and a jacket, plus a hat and gloves -- so we're prepared for anything.

i would definetly bring one. We were there mid Feb 2007 and needed one on most evenings, and some mornings. We were good without during the afternoon, but there were a few days of very cold weather. So, bring them just in case

We go every February and always pack sweatshirts and light jackets /windbreakers. We usually end up wearing jackets at least once. They are better than sweatshirts for rainy days too.

Layers is the way to go in Feb. in Fla. I lived there for 22 years....and learned that the temp is like PMS, moody and ever changing.

items so you can layer if needed. The other thing I would do is check the weather on the internet as you get closer to your big day and it will give you an extended forecast so you can plan accordingly. If you have the room in your luggage, err on the taking too much side......just in case.

i would definatly bring a rain jacket/wind breaker (something water proof) we went in feb. 3 years ago and there were a day or two that it was rainy and nice to have the jacket, we brought small very light weight ones that fit into a small bag, it was about the size of a soda can.

We also leave in 2 weeks and we normally bring fleece jackets and sweatshirts. I always pack a set of gloves for everyone and a hat just in case. Last time we didn't need more than a sweatshirt in the evening.

We were there last week and it got cold a few days. It was about 54 which was cold. Lots of people were buying sweatshirts, jackets, gloves and hats from the shops.

We packed a fleece pull over, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts for everyone. Plus hats and gloves. The kids ended up wearing long sleeve shirts with short sleeve shirts over them and at nights their fleece jackets. I pretty much always wore my sweater and I'm usually not a person to get cold easily but you have to keep in mind you will be outdoors for hours and hours on end and it gets to you.

It is getting colder so def. bring fleece jacket, hats and gloves. Then you have them in case you need them, and you probably will

My coworker was there last year in February and it was so cold they ended up buying more sweatshirts/gloves, etc. We're from the north, and he said it was still very cold for the family. I would assume it's better safe than sorry when it comes to the unpredictable Dec/Jan/Feb months.

We went last year in Feb. and we definitely NEEDED our jackets. Some days I had wished I had brought more sweatshirts! Plan for anything in the winter. If the weather says 70 degrees, remember it may take all day to get to the 70 degree mark.

Have fun, for sure it won't be snowing in WDW!!!! I'm jealous!!

I will agree that last year was definitely the coldest of all our Jan/Feb trips we've ever taken. But for *us* we still made it by without jackets (just lots of layers, like I said). Wasn't as pleasant as we'd have liked (considering it felt colder than it was back in ID!), but we'll take it if it means being at WDW.

We just got back from WDW. The highs on some days were in the 60's and in the mid-70's other days. At night and in the mornings it was in the 50's and a bit in the 40's. We came from 0 degrees and negative temps but I was still cold a lot of the time on our trip. I wore my sweatshirt a lot and my jacket over the top sometimes too. I also put the hood of my sweatshirt on a lot at night and in the mornings. My husband didn't get as cold as I did though.

We were there last year this time. For the kids (7,5&3) we brought fleece hooded sweatshirts, fleece vests, windbreakers, rain ponchos, gloves and headbands. There were times we had everything on and other times it was warm and sunny. It was also rainy & windy at times so we were glad we had everything!!

yeah..i was glad we had stuff for pretty much every type of weather. i'd rather be safe than sorry and lockers at the parks are only $5.
