Jack and Sally. UPDATED. FINISHED :( !! LOTS of pics. 6.26-7.3

Hey there! Jumping onto the trip report. That is too bad that you had a bad experience with the Crocs. I found a pair of the pearl Disney crocs a few months ago and I love them, sooo comfortable. I plan on taking them for a test drive before I take them to Disney though, see if they provide enough support for extended walking, so far I have just been wearing them around the house.

Guess who gets to add a day onto their trip?!
WE DO!!!
Heres the deal:
To fly out on July 2 on SW is $371.60. Yes. One Way. Ridiculous, right!?!
To fly out on July 3 on SW is $236.60 Total. I was like Wow, that sucks. Wish we were flying out on the 3rd when I had a  moment. Add on one night at POP with our AAA rate and the flight is about $331.06, still less than it would be to fly out on the 2nd! :woohoo: It was enough to justify one more night! We are now going for 7nights and 8 days!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

We're going to book room-only because we have a 7 day Park Hopper through our package(we weren't even planning on using it our 7th day, our TA just through it on there) and we dont really see the need to add on dining for one day. Is it even necessary to go through my TA with this? I was just going to call Disney directly since you can get the AAA room-only rate through Disney. I dont see any problems, anyone else?

Well after some great advice from a fellow diser (cryssi, i believe) I managed to stretch out my primas! It was amazing! I'm still not a total believer, though. I think we're going to the zoo this weekend to test them out!

Okay, I now realize what a DIS loser I am. I shoulda multi quoted that stuff.
Oops. Sorry. :o

Let me just say that I love your trip report! Its so much fun planning! And also, my DBF and I have been together for about 6 years, and we met at ages 16 and 18- in high school- so I can imagine your excitement! My DBF had been to Disney when he was little and I have never so we went for my college graduation last January (2006) and are returning a year and a half later this July. We stayed at ASMo last time and are going to CBR this summer as well! I am so excited and your thread made me excited for you! Yay! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't do anything without my Disney Crocs! Love them! And I'm very picky about my shoes! It took me over three months to pick out my last pair of tennis shoes.

Love the report!

Yay! What's it called? I'm definently going to check it out!

I don't remember the exact name, but it's on the way to ToT and it's called Villains and something or something and Villains, it's the only store with Villains in the name. LOL. Sorry I don't know the exact name.:confused3

Yay! :goodvibes We can both just be excited together! Now I'm stoked for your trip! lol. I'll try to finish my trip report before you guys leave so you can get a fresh glimpse of CBR. I know thats always what I like in TRs!...Did you like ASMo? I think we're going to do POP, but I really kind of liked either ASMo and ASMu...

Haha, its okay. There's nothing wrong with exploring and finding it on my own! Thanks for the tip though. I'll keep my eye out for it!:thumbsup2

Just a teeny tiny picture update to pass the time! I graduate in 9 days..time seems to be passing by so much slower in regards to our trip but I think on Tuesday we are booking our extra night at POP! Geezus, I am so stoked about that extra night. Oh, we also got a new digital camera that I am very excited about. We got a Samsung S630 in what color? Oh yes, Lime Green, my fellow dissers! Okay, more of a minted, sparkley lime green, but green none the less. It sucks batteries alot, so now I'm saving to buy some rechargable batteries. Its so sad that i have to save for batteries, but I had to quit my job at Payless after only a few days because of the schedule they had me on during school! They wanted me to work til 11PM during my last days of school? No, sir.

:offtopic:Okay, Okay...back on topic.

john with our countdown taken almost a week ago! I know this is his second picture with sunglasses, but I promise he's not blind!:lmao: This is the "transition" countdown, our "cool and pretty" one starts after this one is finished.

of course, I had to say hi too! I believe I was thinking "Yah...way too many days left!"

pretripgreatness002.jpg

here's our small pile of things we've accumulated. (dark picture taken with our old camera, SOOO glad we got a new one!)

That's all for now, hopefully my next post will tell of me booking POP and getting low low low low return fare on SW. :cloud9:

Hi there,
i am loving your report:goodvibes Your disney story had me in tears, what fantastic grandparents you muct have, i'm really close to mine too and it was them that first took me to WDW when i was 12, i never got over that disney feeling:goodvibes great news about the fare home, what a shame about that extra night;)
Also loving that bag, its adorable, anyway, really looking forward to more and great report so far:thumbsup2

I loved All Star Movies, actually. We thought about going to Music instead for our first trip but ultimately ended up chosing Movies and loved it. If we ever go back for a third trip I think we would try ASMu to save money and try something new. We ALMOST went to Pop this time around but we quickley upgraded we found out what a small difference it was to upgrade to a Mod... plus the DBF wasn't thrilled with Pop's theming. And he felt like for the number of guests the resort holds it isnt all that big- he was concerned about noise and stuff. Anyways, I am sure you will have a blast and I would love to read your TR before we leave! You are going to have soooo much fun!!!! :goodvibes

WOW! I have 3 pages already!
Enough of my gloating, WE HAVE A DILEMMA here folks. We are stuck between ASMo and POP. We book tomorrow and I still dont know which I would prefer! :scared:

Oh, we got our maps today! I LOVE love LOVE them. I'm a sucker for personalization like that, me and DBF looked at them for almost an hour!

I had to come over and check you guys out from your post in my TR.

We also are a little confused over our love for such a corporate and artificial place such as Disney and our love for nature. But I think both places offer an escape from the drab reality of the typical everyday world.

So the Primas were questionable? I was planning on tracking some down for this summer because the elastic straps on my comfy shoes broke shortly after our trip in January.

The countdown is cute! Can't wait to hear about your trip, so I can live through another young couple.

"But I think both places offer an escape from the drab reality of the typical everyday world."

EXACTLY! :goodvibes When our friends hear about where we chose to take our senior trip, they didnt get it. But its MY special place, that was the first place to take me away from a rough childhood and it will always be enchanting and an escape.:cloud9:

The primas are so iffy! They dont offer half sizes so one pair was too big, one too small. But I used the dryer method and managed to stretch them out. I think it all depends on the person. I dont think they are worth the "comfy" hype that the other crocs get, though. I'm thinking about breaking down and buying a pair of croc MJ's. :scared1:

If you didn't book yet- my vote is for All Star Movies. I think I posted about it before, but we were unhappy with our choice at Pop this year and when we went to our TA to switch back to ASMo she told us we could upgrade for CBR very affordably, so we did! We have friends who love Pop. We just could not wrap our heads around the idea of it. Why stay in a resort filled with huge icons of stuff, when you could stay in one of huge icons of Disney? There was a lot of Disney and magic and memories of all our favs at Movies. And on top of that its a bit smaller. The drawback would be bus-sharing but you can easily just get off at Music and take the short walk on busy nights. We have lots of pics if you want to see. I think either way, as long as you make the best choice for you guys and what you like you will be just fine! Its really just a theme preference and a preference as to whether you would want to be in one big resort or one of three grouped resorts. Whenever we find our way back we will probably try ASMu... just since it will probably be a while! In any case, good luck! Happy planning! ;)

:sad1: :sad1:
ASMo is BOOKED! How can it be? (Drama queen Faint)

I called Disney and they had nothing at ASMo. Checking with my travel agent tomorrow before Baccleaurate to make sure theres nothing at ASMo. Then, I guess its Pop Century for us.

We went to book today and the only thing available at the AAA rate(standard) was

Drumroll.....

ASMusic?!?

Ohhh well. I'm letting my Type-A personality slip. Its only one night, I'm sure it'll be just fine. Not my first choices, but lets look on the bright side..I graduate on Saturday!
