Yikes! I just weighed myself and I'm now within one pound of my goal weight. While having gallbladder trouble isn't the way I would have chosen to shed pounds the past two months, it certainly hurried things up.

I had been on a regular diet from April through September and then my no fat diet because of the GB problems since the beginning of October. When I first decided to lose weight, I thought I'd be lucky to drop 5 pounds!

Doing the happy dance here. However, I'd kill for a nice big ice cream sundae at Beaches and Cream right about now. :p

Congratulations!!!!!!! Good for you! party:

I'm happy for you. :) Way to go! :woohoo:

:cool1: :thumbsup2  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :bounce:

Can you tell I am sooooo HAPPPY for you!!!!

Way to go!!

Congratulations! I am a little suprised that you just realized that you lost 30 pounds though, I have lost 25 pounds since August and NONE of my clothes fit. Seems to me that you would have noticed it before stepping on the scale :confused3 .

Well it's like this. I can now fit into jeans that I haven't even bothered with for 2 years. And, yes, everything else is either just more comfortable or down right baggy. Eh, here in Florida, I like baggy.

I've been tracking my loss over the months but there's just something about hitting the magic 3-0 that seemed special.

OK, it makes sense now! No matter how you noticed it - GOOD FOR YOU!!! :cheer2:

That is wonderful.

My Mom really needs to loose some weight. I am just not sure what would be the best way for her to do it. She has really bad osteoporosis and her back really hurts when she walks.

Congrats Virgo10!!!!! I've lost 30 pounds since I had my gallbladder removed. Its been one year. Changing the type of foods that I eat (low fat) was really easy considering what happens when you ingest fatty foods.....so it never seemed like a "diet"......just a "change".

Feels good, doesn't it :thumbsup2

Swim! All the YMCAs in our area even have special water workouts for older people.

If you call around, you'll probably be able to find a water program just for older people...the pools are heated up so it doesn't bother the ones with arthritis.

Swimming is great exercise and doesn't take much toll on the bod. :)
