I can relate to that living in Florida and not minding the baggy clothes. I was wearing pants that would run the risk of hitting the floor. Started a new job this week and bought new pants-some are two sizes smaller.

Are you on no fat forever? Everyone I know who's had the GB surgery has reduced fat intake, but not 100%

Oh, I hope not forever. Right now, after two major attacks, I am terrified of eating anything but fat free stuff. Actually I've been eating the same 10 things for the past 7 weeks. It's starting to get OLD! The up side is that the weight continues to come off and I'm in little to no pain. Pain is certainly a big motivator.

I'm hoping that once the surgery is done I'll be able to go back to a much more normal diet. My Ex had his GB out years ago and he could eat just about anything once it was removed. I'm hoping I have his luck.

Swim! All the YMCAs in our area even have special water workouts for older people.

If you call around, you'll probably be able to find a water program just for older people...the pools are heated up so it doesn't bother the ones with arthritis.

Swimming is great exercise and doesn't take much toll on the bod.

Thank you. I keep telling her that would help her out. Now I just need to keep pushing until she does it. She said she doesn't want to do it alone and the classes are in the morning and I work.

I am going to try and talk to her again tonight and see if she will give it a try just for a month.
