I've been talking about moving to NC for a while now....

Don't do Cary.

We moved to NC about two years ago from the Boston area. Cary is too much like the northeast. Too much traffic, houses too close together, too many Malls/shopping centers. Just too much...

Look at Orange county. Good schools and still an easy commute to RTP.

What line of business is your wife in?

Good luck

She is in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically, clinical trials.

Schools are NUMBER 1 in what we will be looking at if we move.

With good roads to outlying areas, such as I-40, some other areas are becoming popular with the yankees as well...

CLAYTON = Cary Like Area Yankees Trying Out Now

Moving Target in NC (NC native)

:rotfl: I have not heard that one yet---and we are close to Clayton using back roads.

Papa Deuce...welcome to NC. I'm also in Cary and believe that I've talked to you in the past about area. The house you found is GREAT!! Believe me, you won't get that type of deal here inside of Cary. We've looked at moving a little further out to get a better deal and have a lower mortgage. Either way...I think you'll love NC. Check out Danny's BBQ in RTP!!

BTW...I'm a diehard UNC fan, but I think it's okay for you to stick with FSU. My best friend and DH are Michigan State fans.

Kristy, thanks for the BIG WELCOME..... sssshh, don't tell anybody... we don't live in NC! :thumbsup2

That picture was just a post of what we will look for if and when she gets offered a job, and if we decide that it makes sense for us to move. Really, the only thing holding us back is that we don't want to take our kids away from the grandparents.

If not for them, we would probably have done this a while ago.

Well, we'll see! BTW, if it were up to me, we would move near Charlotte. We have family in Charlotte and I like the Fort Mills area.

But my wife makes more than I do, so if we are following the bigger paycheck, then I follow her. BTW, this is NOWHERE near a done deal. She hasn't even had the interview yet, and it isn't until May, actually.
