iTunes - Do you think it's a virus?

I downloaded some CD's to my iTunes library yesterday. When I did the "get album artwork" function it brought in a pic of a completely different album. Then it added this album cover in a few different places.

Has anyone here had this happen? Do you know if there is an iTunes virus going around?

Thanks!

I have installed lots of software over the years and unfortunately as the MAC VS PC commercials state - it just is a lot more difficult for windows users. I would uninstall the program, reboot and install itunes again. A lot of times, existing software conflicts with your install - sometimes even from the same manufacturer (ie Norton systemworks & Internet Security)
Do you have security software? Sometimes it is better to disable when you are installing - just make sure you turn off your internet connection so you won't be "exposed".

Good Luck

I have Norton anti-virus on a Dell XPS computer. So you don't think it's a virus?

If the songs were downloaded illegally then I could believe you *COULD* have an issue, but if they were from CD's that were purchased I would be very skeptical that you have a virus from I-Tunes

They are from the library :confused3

I think it is a database glitch. You downloaded the songs from a CD and it went to get the artwork from the internet database. Somewhere in cyberspace the songs you uploaded from your CD are linked to that artwork.

Thanks everyone! :)

I did download "Celtic Thunder" - I realize now the album cover that was popping up was an Irish CD (Shamrock on Cover). That was probably what caused it. There have been no other issues with the computer. I am technologically challenged and thought this would be a good place to get a few quick answers :)

I don't think it's illegal to copy the cd's from the library into iTunes - the librarians were telling me they do they same thing
