Thank you! Thank You!
We are slowly winding down the festivities. My Mom flew out this morning, James' Mom tomorrow morning. James' brother tomorrow afternoon and lastly a cousin who flies out tomorrow night.
We've eaten, hiked, been to the zoo, BBQ'd, played music and danced liked monkeys. Zena was sooooo happy. She's still beaming and as exhausted as I am...so am I.
The wedding itself was just great. So many people came from all over the country: Chicago, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, Florida...I was so grateful.
Zena and Logan chose a new last name: an Italian translation of his last name...a compromise so that neither one lost their heritage.
I held it together until we walked Zena down the aisle....when everyone stood as she entered I thought I was going to crumble: She cried, I cried and James got teary eyed as well.
Tara gave the best speech ever-
It began: I'm so grateful Zena chose me as her Maid of Honor when so many gay men here could have done it infinitely better!
Then we danced until the hall kicked us out!
the cake was topped with bride and groom fimo hedgehogs.
Zena handmade her garter.
Remember Dylan? He's doing GREAT!
Zena Beams!
