From 3-1 down back to win in 7 how about those HABS. Bring on Tampa Bay this is looking alot like the 93 cup winner but we won't go saying to much yet.
For the first time in years I was glued to the tv watching a game. As thrilled as I am for the Habs, I can't help but feel bad that the Bruins had to lose this one. No matter what the writers in Boston are saying, Joe Thornton is AWESOME! Playing with the injury he has was incredible. And Raycroft is excellent. I think we can thank Jose for this one.
I missed most of the game. I was on the phone with my cousin who's mom passed away on Friday, and I just finally reached--she needed to talk, so that was more important.
What I saw certainly was a good game. Lot's of chances. Both goalies played great. I think that the difference is that the Canadiens had a player in the right place at the right time tonight, and that didn't happen for the Bruins. The Bruins had their chances, but they just couldn't convert. Theodore definitely stole this one for the Canadiens--just like Raycroft stole a couple for the B's.
I was telling ScottWDW that I saw a group of Canadiens fans walking through Boston on my way home from work (it may have been the group that they showed on TV near the end of the game). They were yelling, and shouting, and chanting Raycroft. The crossed in front of a bus, and I half wanted them to get hit so I could steal their tickets
Well, I still have my Canucks. It's going to be a long night for me. I'm going to be very tired at work tomorrow!
: Well at least this didn't hurt as much as the Red Sox seventh game last year. Guess us Boston fans are used to all this pain and misery!
They just reported that Joe Thornton had torn cartilage in his rib cage and should have been out for 6 weeks. We knew he was injured but the Bruins wouldn't release details until now. Those hockey players are some tough guys!
It's a shame that the Bruins ended their season with the fans booing them. They didn't deserve that........ they really had a great season. Andrew Raycroft and Patrice Bergeron are stars of the future.
It sure was a heartbreaker last night, two4ruff. I'm one of those east coasters who dozed off during regulation, but when they scored with 5.7 seconds left to tie the game, I was wide awake and ready for OT. What a heartbreak to lose it so quickly. I was still wide awake for about an hour after the game ended.
