Hi all,
Last trip I tried to do a trip report and gave in due to terrible wifi service! However I've always wanted to do one and so here goes to trying again :)

As many already know " so I won't go into it too much again" this trip is well needed! After a awful yr last yr, we thought this year would be better... However after needing major surgery again a picc line for 11wks and 1 round so far of chemo this yr has tipped the last lol,

However....... I'm not going to dwell on what might be and how long I could or could not have! I'm going to make life long memories with the people I love, which includes our beloved friends we met here on Disboards and how our holiday will also include them on a regular basis although they left a few days ago for disney.

Right anyways there is

ME. Cindy 28
DH Ian 32
DS Brandon 11
Ds Anthony 8
Ds Ethan 8

This is our 5th time as a family, we usually do every other yr, but thought what the heck after our last trip in October when I got real sick again in June!
We also go back in May for 22 nights

Right so after being up till 2 packing,we was up at 8 getting ready to go to the airport for twilight check in,
We had breakfast at McDonald's as we always do, then headed off.
We arrived at around 1 as we only live over an hour or so away we was told check in was anytime from 12, that's not the case as we found out lol oh well, we went up tesco and picked up some bits then checked in to the Hilton after dropping the car with purple parking, who was great as usual very easy!

Hilton check in was easy our family room is huge but not clean!! Beds etc our fine but the car park is filthy.
Had a rest then did check in at 6.30 very smooth we have bubble seats but was asked if we would rather have bulkhead with Brandon having Austism,
Brandon and the twins really wanted to be in bubble so we stick with that but very much appreciated the choice.

After check in we had dinner at the giraffe, everything we had was really good! But the prices are insane! 2 starters 2 kids meals and a Mao plus 3 kids desserts then only soft drinks 1 each came to £67!

Once in the room it was bath and bed after mummy for her self a champagne cocktail of course ;)

Now the alarm is set for 7, for a 11.40 flight hopefully ill sleep as I'm
Pretty excited for the poly!!

So happy for you Cindy :goodvibes
It feels like just a little while ago you announced your Poly trip - seems to have come round so quickly!

I'll wish you a good night's sleep and a safe flight and hopefully wifi should play nice this time round. It is supposed to have improved since last year (I think you were there just after we were last year when they were just rolling it out in the parks and it was awful!).

The Poly is absolutely gorgeous; we've always loved it and I'd pick it over GF any day. Enjoy every minute!! Looking forward to your next update ::yes::

Oh dear just read back last nights post, woops don't text on a iPhone when your tired!

The carpet is filthy not car park at the Hilton lol, I would not be bothered by a car park! But the carpet has big stains all over it some was fresh :(

Also we had a main meal not a Mao :)

Anyways on with the report,
We set our alarm for 7 and the boys was up just before that.
Very excited boys we then looked at the tv and sky news said it was only 6.15 we was just about to go back to sleep for a bit, when the boys turned the tv over and seen it was indeed actually 7.15!! Good job we did not just go back to sleep lol

Now about to go for breakfast in the Hilton.
Whilst still panicking over the insane weather, praying we don't get delayed too much.

Who are you flying with ?

Hi we flew with Virgin, set off was around an hour late as they had to fuel up while we was on the plane.
Flight was great but plane was filthy and did not look like they had been actually cleaned before turn around!

Hi all I've been up since 4.30 US time, after going to bed at 12 but will probably try and catch another hour after this,

We got to the airport about 10 after having breakfast at the Hilton, breakfast was really good £12 adult and our 3 boys are free!

Managed to pick up some duty free, wish I'd had longer as I was in my element, brought alcohol for the room, opi nail vanishes make-Up and some very nice Decleor products, love these and there always my airport splurge!

Flight was great, air hostesses was all really friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we was sat in the bubble in economy and loved it, so quite,
My youngest twin Ethan had a really bad nose bleed mid flight, it just kept pouring! Thank god for spare clothes :)

Flight was nearly 10 hours due to weather but wasn't too bumpy,
Immigration very smooth was quite new the front of the line, however baggage collection took ages!
We opted to put our luggage on the 2nd carousel instead of lugging it like last yr.
Worked great was very quick...

Magic express was fine, got to Poly quite quickly.

NOW.. When we get off the bus we realise we had left a suitcase on the 2nd carousel!! Had a slight panic spent an hour trying to trace it, and will have to go collect it tomorrow from the airport, were utter muppets!
Think god we was doing nothing much but MNSSHP in the evening lol.

We have our magic bands but was too tired to test them all last night.
Room location is great, right outside the main building and behind quite pool,
We saw fireworks from our room with only a little obstruction.
Where on the ground floor which is gutting but we have a split check in so may change rooms tomorrow as this one is also really dusty does not look like its been used in ages, dust on top of all the cups too.
Apart from that rooms are great size and poly is simply stunning.

Anyways wifi is working well here so far, so I should be able to keep up with a trip report this time :)

I will hopefully start posting pics too, once I figure out photo bucket

Nice start,

Hope you get your room sorted, a little pixie dust required !

Hope you get your suitcase back too !!!!!

So glad to hear you've arrived safely Cindy :thumbsup2

I hope you and your family have a fantastic time & get to make some special memories pixiedust:pixiedust:

Well you sound as if you have a good but very dirty start :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

Hope things get sorted with your room and you have a great day :goodvibes

Ok so I'm just back from MNSSHP and totally shattered!
Boys fell asleep 3 times at the party!

Once at dinner, then during fireworks and parades, so they are fast asleep, I'm going to bed now but wanted to say that the party was fab!
Even though it was mega busy glue

well i did think you were a bit bonkers complaining about a dirty car park lol but yak to dirty rooms

hopefully you will get a new room or they send some body in to give it a good scrub

i hope you have great weather and a lovely holiday

And me had a double take reading it :). Glad you all arrived safely and can now enjoy the family holiday you so deserve . Hope u manage to get a better room on next check in . I always say as long as the rooms clean and the beds are the rest I can live with. Obviously paying that much you wld expect pristine. Looking forward to your updates. Have a lovely time Cindy x

Ok so a little behind,

The MNSSHP was utterly packed as it was sold out! Never experienced this before,
We did do a lot we wanted though by scheduling FP+ for space and thunder mountain.

We got loads of sweets, in fact we filled a large disney carrier bag :)
Had our picture with the dwarfs something I've never done before,
2nd parade was packed normally its much quieter then the 1st, headless horse man was amazing as usual and spent ages by the section we was in.

DAY 2
We slept in till 10 and all needed it, we then had breakfast at Captain cooks and went off to Blizzard beach..weather started off really hot then by the time we got to the park " after doing a huge de-tour" it had gone really cloudy and cold boys insisted on staying and after an hour the sun broke through, which meant the park cleared and we did quite a few slides in the next 2 hours!

Back to the resort at 5 for a nap till 7 then Chef mickeys at 8,

CHEF MICKEYS
We was really disappointed, we did chef mickeys last yr and loved it ended up on our most do list!

Well it it was dirty floors was lagged everywhere you stepped, food was just ok, beef was actually tasteless and my 8 yr old told me that before I had mine!
Dessert was pretty good though,
Characters well..... We saw Minnie as we sat down then seen nobody else until we was ready to leave! Had to ask for them to be sent over.
Atmosphere was just blurgh they did not do the parade where the characters do the swinging of the napkins :(

Next we hopped over to Epcot for EMH and did TT twice we all love the new ride and find it much better then the old style, although I did miss the detail of the hot cold rooms and seeing the crash dummy's.
We also did MS.

So far the weather has been great, much nicer then I thought it would be, but ride Qs are packed!! Never seen 80 minute waits before!

We have San Angel for lunch today with our friends, its been abit hit and miss so far seeing them. But should get better from today.

Our magic bands have been awesome so far no issues at all.

Glad to here that you are having fun so far :)
Did you leave your home address in the shipping details for the MBs or did you out in the Poly address - I know they don't ship to the UK but I just wondered if you left your UK address in the details?
