Its that American Idol time of week again!

Oh, thats right, to David right??;) LOL Just kidding, than I have NO IDEA why she was there!

rooked on time? I was watching the clock (flipping back and forth between AI and Friends), and I realized it was 7:55 and Clay still had to sing! The announcer rushed over to him when Clay was done, didn't even let the first three judges say anything, Simon lambasted him and, boom, show was over. I know it's live, but can't they time it better so as not to cheat the last person? Two hours the past few weeks had a lot of filler, but one hour seemed pretty rushed.

And, IMHO, country-rock was a poor genre choice (who okays what songs they sing?), and Olivia NJ was not a very strong "personality". Bring on disco, and make EVERYBODY sing an uptempo song!

I totally agree with you. Last night's performances were okay but not great. I am still rooting for Clay. :Pinkbounc

I agree that Clay got cheated on time. Maybe that's why he sort of looked unhappy. I would have liked to have heard what the other judges said about him.

I wonder what kind of song selection that they had to choose from. It seemed that they mostly sang ballads or slower songs to play it safe. Only Kimberly Locke seemed to pick a song that actually suited her.

When did they decide to change the genre this week? I was expecting disco! Anyhow, I thought there were only two people that really stuck to the genre of the week. Overall, I think everyone picked a good song for their voice and it is starting to get a little more interesting. So what was up with Trenyce?! She looked miserable last night! I don't think she even cracked a smile. I don't know what it was but it seemed more than just not being happy with her performance. I think this will be Julia's night to go.

Not really a big fan of country so I didnt enjoy most of the songs, although some didnt really sound country at all--like Ricky's.

Josh--good but sang so fast I couldnt follow his words

Corey--ok but not my favorite

Carmen--I thing she did well, I think she gets better as time goes and she feels more comfortable.

Both Kim's--did well

Julia--she looks so nervous it makes me nervous

Ruben--I enjoyed his performance

Clay--Enjoyed it too, but not as good as he usually is

Ricky--liked it but not really country sounding to me

Tryence--I think she is very good but she didnt shine last nite

TOnite-- its gotta be Julia's last nite

Here are my thoughts: :)

Josh- I think country is definitely his element; I thinked he could've picked a better song (something where it's easier to understand the words), but he did very well

Trenyce- she was only ok this week; I don't think country suits her voice at all; she looked disappointed with her own performance too; hopefully she will stick around so we can see her perform in a different genre

Kimberly L- she was incredible! I think this was her best performance since "Somewhere over the Rainbow"; I think she seems a little too mature to make it all the way to the end though

Corey-he is not a favorite of mine; I thought he did okay, but he is out of his league

Carmen- country suited her well too; I still think she needs to develop her voice more before she is ready to be a star; I predict she won't last for many more weeks

Ricky- I thought Ricky sang very well, but his song didn't seem very "country rock" to me at all; his personality is GREAT though

Kimberly C- for the first time so far, I actually really liked her performance; she seemed more "real" to me this time than in the past performances; I didn't care for her outfit though :teeth:

Ruben- for the first time, I really LOVED Ruben's performance; he really sang from his heart (we all KNOW he loves Alabama!); I thought he did a great job blending his voice to sing in the country genre

Julia- still don't think she's very good; I predict she will get kicked off tonight

Clay- he is still my number 1 favorite, but I didn't think this song really showed off his vocal ability; I don't think country really suits his voice either; I wish he hadn't gotten jipped on time

I saw Finola Hughes, too!! I kept telling my husband that was her - he watches All My Children with me at night on tape. He kept telling me that it wasn't her. I KNEW it was!!

Why was she there???
