Hi everyone :wave2: welcome to our second ptr hopefully we will keep you all entertained popcorn:: Let’s get to the important details :thumbsup2 – when, who, what, where.

First up the trip party consists of; me, dh, ds (8), dd(5), dd(2), df, dm and dmil. We fell in  with the world back in 1997 when we booked our first trip. Novices back then, don’t think we did any planning, nup definitely no ADRs made or touring plans done :scared1: The first Disney park we ever visited was MK. What a day that was, me, DH (then DBF), DSIL & DBIL they gave us the bug and it has never left us since. We visited every year until DS was born. In September 1998 we celebrated our engagement and decided our honeymoon in 2000 would have to be a Disney cruise. That was just fantastic so much so that we visited again when DS was 2 and guess what .............. we are going again, this time on a FANTASY cruise with some add on’s :cheer2: Have I bored you yet :confused3: Possibly let’s move on and meet the party

First up meet me, dh, ds, dd1 and dd2

Finally dmil (known as granny) this was taken on a trip this summer in a vacation park in the UK

Now you have meet the party you’ll be wanting to know the when, what and where; that’s up next :goodvibes

So far we have told you who will be coming along this trip but have still to tell you about when and where. I figure that it is never too early to start a ptr – there is still 397 days until our October 2012 trip – is it too early? :confused3 This is a land/sea/land trip 17 days looking like this:

Arrive 4th October 2012 - staying at POP
Depart POP 6th October – boarding DCL Fantasy (6th October – 13th October)
Disembark DCL Fantasy 13th October
Arrive OKW 13th October
Depart OKW 20th October, :sad2:to be heading home

So far I’ve told you who will be coming along this trip and what our accommodation plans are; thought you would like to know what led us to these decisions. Well those that read my ptr last time around will be aware that gran and granddad have stayed at the POP before and thought the kids would love the experience, noisey pools etc and that we had originally booked for the POP last year, when free dining came on we upgraded to POR :cool1: As we are :sail: on the fantasy we had already decided that we would like to stay on Disney for two nights and that would avoid car hire costs for two days.

The plans are coming together nicely or so we though popcorn:: POR was our choice for land stay following the fantasy. Well that’s when we looked at discounts being offered on deluxe resorts and free dining was this an option worth considering :confused3 Yes it was, so that was the next thing to come together :thumbsup2 OKW 2 bed villa with free dining booked :cheer2:

Thought I would leave you with some pictures from our last trip; first one is on our way out to Backyard BBQ and the second is us on the magical express, after a 9 hour flight :scared1: heading for POR

I'm in too! I would love to do a Disney Cruise but my fear of boats stops us from being able to go. The cruise line ships look fantastic too. Maybe one day.....

Hi :wave2::welcome: We have been on the magic and the wonder so are looking forward to boarding the new ship  I wasn't a big boat or water fan but was totally suprised about how smooth a cruise was, maybe you will get to cruise one day. I found your ptr yesterday as well :) what fun the next 12 month will be planning :thumbsup2

Hello!! Glad to see a fellow Oct. 2012 vacationer! Very exciting you will get to take a cruise on the new fantasy...have you guys cruised before?! We haven't yet but are really wanting to soon!

Hi :wave2::welcome:we too are excited about finding a fellow oct 2012 vacationer :thumbsup2 Yes we have been on the magic and wonder before but have not cruised on the dream, we cannot seem to imagine where all the people will go on a ship twice the size of the wonder or magic :confused3 but we will get to see it in 391 days :cheer2:

Just thought I would share that we have been counting the days until our land/sea/land adventure and its 391 days  I suppose you will be wondering what the relevance of this is well.......... Gran and Grandad left yesterday for a 16 day adventure with DB/DSIL/DN and DN. They didn't have a great trip over as there connecting flight from philly was delayed :scared1: Having left at 7:30am Thursday (UKtime) yesterday morning to start their adventure in Glasgow airport they finally landed in Orlando International at 2.30am Friday (UK Time) 9:30pm (USA time) I would imagine it was straight to bed for them.

Today they have a day planned at Blizzard Beach what a thought, looking outside this morning the school run is going to be a wet one :headache: The thought of sunshine and blizzard beach is rather nice :cool1:

It is mega early to even be looking at booking slots but not to start a suggestion list, which will really need to be thinned down a lot:scared1: We only have 9 days of eating to do :rotfl: Here goes............

Dining list looks great. We too are going to do breakfast at CRT next year for exactly the same reason as you! I know DD2 will love it and she was so small the last time we went that she had no real idea what was going on.

We are also considering the HoopdeDoo revue but as we are not on the dining plan we have to be sensible about how many we book.

And its never too early to plan you ADRs!!!!

We have had two different experiences at CRT for breakfast one great and one not so great and one dinner experience, but def preferred breakfast to dinner as it was very expensive and not very good quality, we were a little disappointed with dinner but big fans of breakfast :thumbsup2 I hope DD2 gets as excited as her big sister :confused3

Some of our suggestions are two ts's so we need to think through what we really want to do as some may not be good value at 2 for example california grill which def is but not something we feel the kids would enjoy just yet, last year we managed a date night at cali which was excellant :thumbsup2 Plus the dining we will have experienced on the fantasy we'll be looking for something different this week :goodvibes

We took the children to Cali grill for the first time last year and they loved it. The food for children was surprisingly good. I took some things to make sure they kept occupied and quiet but the waiter was lovely and they brought over crayons and things for them too. The crispy rice sushi platter that DD1 had for dessert was one of the most incredible and delicious things I have seen!

Is probably one of the best places for date night though I agree with that!!!Might have to persuade my mum and dad to watch the girls so we can have one of those this trip!

Looks like a good list! 'Ohana and Boma are the only two we've done on every trip. I think the only other one from your list we've tried is Jiko. It was really good...I was supposed to go there last year with my two friends that we were traveling with, but they had to back out at the last minute so it was me and DH and the kids. But we really enjoyed it. The waiter offered to cut up DS's steak for us, which impressed us to no end

We going to have to miss cali this trip but I am sure palo's and remy will make up for it :thumbsup2 I would recommend a night on your own, we had the opportunity last year which was really nice

Jiko is becoming appealing to me:thumbsup2

It is rather exiciting to be involved in the FE exchange on our sea part of this vacation. I am not normally a very creative type person but I do think the making of the fish extender and gifts will be fun. Initially I had thought I wouldn't be able to get involved but the more I read, the more fun this really does sound.

A trip to the craft shop is planned to get some ideas for this section and to pick up supplies for our countdown calendar :)
