IT'S OFFICIAL!!!****OCTOBER 2014****...ROLL CALL!! Join the party!

Ohana and Kona, is it ok to book both in the same week? Is the food different? I just heard they are great places to eat!

lol, I hope so! I'm planning Ohana (dinner), Kona(breakfast) and Captain Cooks(Breakfast) all in the same week! And if I can swing it a second stop at Captain Cooks too, need to stock up on Tonga Toast while I can!

I've actually only done Kona for breakfast but I heard the lunch/dinner is great as well. Looking forward to Ohana for dinner and the bread pudding!

I'm sure someone can provide better specifics on the difference but I'm sure they are different, it also depends on what kind of meals they are(Breakfast, Lunch, dinner?)

And its Disney, you can eat wherever you want, however many times you want! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Days like today make me LONG for October-we are in the middle of a storm that started yesterday morning and expected to continue until tomorrow. Could result in 60 cm (2 feet!) of snow when its all over.

On the plus side, my office is closed due to weather and I own a snowblower :)

AHHHH!!! Dying for my ADR's to open up on Thursday!!!! Can't wait!!!!:hyper: I will get BOG....gotta think positive...right?! :thumbsup2

So disappointed BOG is booked for September 29th (and the whole week) :( If anyone has a cancellation, just trying, please let me know. Thank you.

Yikes! That is not fun! This winter has been so brutal. Hopefully you've been able to cuddle up and watch some Disney movies!

I agree! I was shocked, I know it's popular, but nothing is available and lunch is booked as well :( Will keep trying, hoping for a little pixie dust to help :)

Last October I stressed about getting a lunch fastpass...the site always showed that there were none available. Then, about a month before our trip, the fastpasses became available. I think that will happen again. Just watch for that about a month out...they aren't booked right now, just not available yet!!

Keep trying according to what I have read. Maybe they release them a bit at a time?

Hoping for October. Actual dates depend on a few factors - When do the Browns play the Panthers!

That's what I am thinking too. I'm going for the dinner ADR just incase we can't get a lunch fast pass. Only planning on having apps(maybe) and dessert, got to try the grey stuff! Want to just experience the ambiance, for some reason neither of the menus are tempting us, weird I know!

I was just reading some threads on it and I'm just starting to feel tired about the whole thing, so stressful. :sad1:

Thank you everyone, I will def keep trying and hope for the best!

Question, I have a reservation at DTD 6:05pm, and will be leaving AK when it closes so around 5 or 5:15pm in Oct. depending on buses. Can someone tell me if it's best to go back to the resort and then a bus, or can you please provide a quicker route for us?

It would be best to go straight to DTD from AK. You won't have enough time to get to the resort and then to DTD.

I was always told there are no buses from DTD to theme parks, only to resorts.

This would have to be done by taxi. There are no bus routes from any park directly to DTD. There is park to park transportation and park to resort transportation only.

Anyone know where we can get a guide of all the different connections for Disney transportation? And any tips? For example, I read on here that you can get a bus from Pop via the EPCOT bus to the monorail station, and from there you can get the monorail to MK. We were trying for EMH at MK one day and the bus lineup was huge..we were definitely going to be on the second or third bus to arrive, and we had just missed one as we walked up. I saw a young couple move from the MK line into the EPCOT line and a lightbulb went off in my head...so we changed lines and were on a bus to the monorail within 5 minutes. We actually made it to MK for park opening at 8 am, whereas if we had waited in the MK line, we would not have gotten there until perhaps 9 or later.

I can not guarantee how up to date this it... but I use it for general planning.

Add me to the list please!

October 21-27 Staying at the All Star Sports:)

I haven't been able to visit in October for a while, and I am really looking forward to it! Food and Wine, Mnsshp, Hallowishes! It is almost hard to believe I can make ADRs in just a few weeks!

Here is our plan:

Tuesday: Fly in. Head to AK and then Epcot. Not sure about dinner yet. Maybe at the Rainforest Cafe. Maybe at Sunshine Seasons.
Wednesday: DHS and hopping to MK. Wishes at 10 pm!
Thursday: Epcot
Friday: Breakfast at the Kona Cafe (a family tradition) and then off to the Magic Kingdom. Hopping to Epcot later for Illuminations
Saturday: AK for sure. My nephew and his friend are talking about a round of golf. Any suggestions as to which course?
Sunday: DHS during the day, Mnsshp that night. Lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe
Monday: Epcot, and then back to the resort for a 4 pm flight home

Thank you everyone, I will def keep trying and hope for the best!

There are no buses straight to DTD from AK. I would just grab whatever bus is sitting there waiting (make sure its not a crazy far resort like ft. wilderness) and then once you pull up to that resort just hop on the DTD bus. Which restaurant is it, if its on the other side of DTD you may consider leaving the park 20 min early. I think you could get to DTD in 45 min but not sure you could walk to the restaurant in that time too.
