I don't like the looks of this, I don't like the posters name, nor do I like the fact that this is a first post by the poster. Further, if he was a CM DVC Guide, why would he tell us to buy resale, and what's the deal with the DUES ??

Last month, over on LaughingPlace.com, someone calling himself EpcotCM posted "American Adventure to close." There were 28 responses. Some expressed anger, and others sadness. There was also healthy suspicion regarding the accuracy of the post.

A week or so later, EpcotCM posted "American Adventure-- A Confession!" Yep. EpcotCM admitted it was a hoax, and that he wasn't even a CM.

By the way, Epcot CM has only posted a total of three items on LaughingPlace.com, so "American Adventure to close" was his first of second post.

There's long been a rumor that the WDW Master Plan indicates a DVC resort at Disney's Eagle Pines Golf Course. It's a rumor that I tend to believe.

Now here on this board we have someone calling himself "vacation club guide," who calls his first post "It's Official: NEW RESORT." Nope. It's not official. If "vacation club guide" is who he claims to be, it may soon be official -- but it can't be called official yet. For the reasons that others have already posted in this thread, I doubt "vacation club guide" is a Disney Vacation Club Guide. I hope I'm wrong. It would be great to have a DVC Guide participating on this board.

Even after an official announcement, things don't always happen. Recently I wrote Disney's Newport Coast Villas, the Disney Vacation Club that Never Happened. And that one really was official.

With a per point rate of $3.13 at OKW and $3.83 at BWV the difference is, IMHO, substantial. Owners at BWV pay 22.4% more than at OKW...VB owners pay nearly 27% more.

Yes you may have a point, but does that 22.4% affect the resale value of your interest in any way ?? The answer is NO, and in terms of $ and cents per year, I too think it is minimal.

I will tell you that Mitch Frankel is leaving DVC. I verified that information with two different DVC CMs today, Tuesday, June 5. Neither CM would confirm or deny any knowledge of a DVC resort beyond Beach Club Villas.

A Disney guide wouldn't "officially" announce anything (if they wanted to keep their job). On a regular WDW board a few years back a WDW videographer who openly shared info using his real name was reprimanded for sharing info from the employee-only newsletter. This could be someone with rumor info who chose his/her "name" to make it stand out. Lots of rumors get posted here as to next resort, when sales will start, etc. I don't think this person deserves punishment. If someone could just change the subject line it would blend in with all of our other conjecture posts.

As I posted earlier today, this is certainly NOT official news. We have had no confirmation of this from DVC and this is purely speculation. You can be assured that the DIS would be posting any Official Announcement about any new DVC resorts, if we had received such information.

If I lose the pool hopping bet, that means no more pool hopping ever after 15 April of next year, so I hope for everyone's sake I win that bet. The truth is that I think pool hopping will go away, likely about the time that the BC opens but I hope I'm wrong.

It's me, Luv2Dream. I just returned from WDW this past Saturday and I was speaking to a DVC kiosk CM. Please, I hope you don't think that I'm "Vacation Club Guide", I'm not! I was just passing along info shared with me during a chat, nothing more. Appropriately, I posted it under Rumors. I just wanted to make sure nobody thought it was me trying to use another name, nope, not me.

This is just talk..... I called my guide at DVC. He has been w/ DVC since the inception, and said he knows nothing about a future DVC location....

We are once again being hit by someone who thinks it is fun to post garbage on these boards. VCG is giving us false info. and is someone who has nothing better to do than getting his/her kicks by trying to feel important and impress us with their lack of knowledge. It seems that we have had alot of this as of late, possibly because these boards are very popular.
It is a shame and I hope it will not result in harming these boards. I say lets boot VCG out!
