IMO I THINK THAT THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF PEOPLE LIKE THIS IS TO SIMPLY IGNORE THE POST. HE PROBABLY IS ENJOYING SEEING EVERYONE RESPOND TO HIS STUPID RUMOR.

i don't know anything about the legitimacy of the person claiming to be a guide; in fact i share the general skepticism of the board in this regard. i also don't have any idea about the size or nature of an eagles pines facility, or the probable cost of membership or dues. i have, however, heard that a development is being talked about at eagle pines. this came from a friend who works for disney, so i believe it. how completely committed disney is to the site, or what the precise plans of development are, i haven't the faintest idea.

Ok, so he/she duped us a little with that fake announcement. Dumb, yes. Annoying, a little. Childish, perhaps. But really, did anyone run out and remortgage their home in order to buy 1000 points from a resale agent (who this person probably was), in anticipation of the fabled high priced Eagle Pines DVC Resort? Duh! Please!

I think getting all upset and calling for users to get banned is overreacting a bit. And that kind of reaction causes legitimate users to hesitate before expressing their opinion or posting anything. Case in point, Luv2Dream's earlier post expressing fear that he/she would be accused of being DVC Guide because of similar info that he/she mentioned in another thread. Relax people. It would take a lot more than a false rumor to ruin THIS site. And as kpatches said, just ignore the posts you don't agree with.

And no, I'm not the DVC Guide either! lol

Why would they announce a new DVC when the YAcht Club DVC is still being built? Don't they usually wait till one is just about complete till they start another one?

A friend of a friend has a friend who is a DVG - he said the next resort would be on the border between Iraq and Iran, but what does he know! I smell a resale rat.
