Alison, give Fran a big hug from me (her unknown DIS friend;)). Having been the "sick" one in my relationship for the last 10 years, I know how bad it sucks. Let her know she has many people in her corner cheering for her recovery!!! :cheer:

Sent from Tracey's iPhone using DISBoards

That is so sweet of you to say this. And knowing you can very much understand her predicament makes it even more heartfelt! I wish she really understood how many "silent" people she has in her corner. She doesn't "get" the DIS and sometimes I wish she would just lurk because there is so much energy here that would benefit her. HOwever, I need to feed the kids and go to bed, too much to do tomorrow!

Happy Sunday Jamborinis and Kidanites!

 Jen. Hope you, Scott and Beauty are doing well. :goodvibes

Jen, hooray for booking the marathon! I hear it sells out quickly, is that right?

The Princess is about half full last time I checked, the price goes up Tuesday, so I bet a lot of people will register this weekend.

Sorry, I know I messed up the quotes and i had more well wishes, but I think I accidentally deleted them:crazy2:

Kim, any updates? :listen:

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

I somehow missed checking in on the DIS yesterday. :confused3

I am feeling lots better, thank you everyone! Hope to keep healthy for the rest of the winter now. :rotfl:

Brandi - I am thinking about you.

Happy Monday Morning my friends! I have been trying to stay up to date with you all as much as possible. :). The weather here in Orlando has been wonderful the last two days. Could not have ask for anything more. :thumbsup2

...off-topic, but plase say an extra prayer for my DS, who needs a major procedure done on his heart this Tuesday....he'll be going to a specialist at Mount Sinai in NYC....

Kim I don't know how I missed this. You can count on prayers tonight and Tuesday too. One of my very best friends had this done a few years ago. She is a nurse practioner and she was pretty nervous about the procedure. However, she felt she worried about nothing. She spent the night in the hospital, took the rest of the week off on sick leave only because she had a lot to use. She works full time, goes to the gym five days a week, runs 10 and 12 k races and is so healthy and happy she had it taken care of.

How hot is the food?? Not a fan of spicy. Now, the beer..... ;)

And, I think it is only 16 days! :rotfl:

Your f&w trip is getting so close. I am so excited for you all to get together. Also happy to hear you are feeling better. :thumbsup2

....well, I know it's not OPEN-HEART surgery, but there is still much risk involved.....I was looking for anyone who may have gone through this and could talk frankly about the re-coop time, what to expect, any side-effects, could this 'growth' come back, etc....

Anytime there is surgery on someone we love it is stressful. Especially when it is our child even if he is an adult. My daughters will ALWAYS be my little girls even when they get to be 45. ;)

I can well imagine how he felt. Graham walked in on me yesterday why I was still on the phone with DCL finalizing things. Fortunately I had a "legit" reason to call them to let them know about my banana allergy and to have the documents send to work. So he did not cotton on to what was really going on.

Yes, I definitely am. The most difficult bit is not keeping it from Graham, but not to let anything slip on a small UK-based Orlando forum. The people on there are like family. However, Graham is also active on there. He does not come on here so I am safe.

Corinna

Just hang in there and don't let anything slip. In 2006 I pulled off the biggest surprise ever on my DH. I planned a big family celebration at WDW for the entire family. He thought it was only he and I going. I had our daughters, DSIL'S and grandchildren all arrive two days after we did. Along with my hubby's best friend and his wife. We all stayed at the Poly, I booked Victoria & Albert chef's table for dinner for 8 of us who could go. Booked a Wishes fireworks cruise, made arrangements for my DH and SIL who had just returned from Iraq to be the Veterans of the day and bring down the colors at the magic kingdom. My husband had no, idea. He cried as he saw the family all there for him in a room I had arranged. No one slipped up, the grands were little and not told they were going to Disney until the morning of the trip. I didn't tell a sole who knows us or sees us socially or at work. That way no one could tell him. You can do it Corinna I know you can, and just imagine his face when he sees your surprise. ::yes::

Good morning everyone...

I hope everyone has a great day.

I have been struggling this last week with something that has weighed heavy on me. It is small in the effect of the world, and I know others have more pressing issues and even life threatening problems, and mine is not...

No matter the outcome, David and I will survive!

Sorry I am so cryptic

Brandi it doesn't matter how small or big a problem or issue is. Friends support each other and are there to help or just to provide a shoulder or an ear. If you need to talk we are here for you. I hope you will soon be able to put this behind you knowing you made the right decision. You have my number, if you need anything please feel free to call me.

Tomorrow we move over to Beach Club. Have to admit I am excited, it is new and our first Epcot resort ever. :yay::banana::yay:

Wow, that must have taken some time, skill and energy to organize everything without him ever having an idea what is going on.

I will stay strong. Over the weekend he asked on what deck we are on. I nearly said deck 7 (which is the deck we are actually on), but I was not sure if there are any ocean view cabins on deck 7 and there is a possibility that he would know this kind of information. He actually probably knows the ships better than I do as he tends to do a lot of exploring and also made friends with some of the crew over the years. So I gave him the info for our initial stateroom assignment, which was indeed on deck 2.

Tomorrow we move over to Beach Club. Have to admit I am excited, it is new and our first Epcot resort ever. :yay::banana::yay:

I hope that you will have a wonderful time. We will stay at an Epcot resort for the first time in November and I am really looking forward to it.

What an amazing trip you planned for your family, Ann! The memories you all will share over the years are so wonderful! :lovestruc I bet this is one reason your DH really wanted to do something extra special for you this trip!

Hope your move goes well today. Enjoy!! :goodvibes

Wendy - I hope you are feeling better today!

Kathy - Have a great time today!!

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

I think I had told you all that one of the hospitals Bob was in last year is having an Open House celebrating their 5th year in Richmond. There are Kindred Hospitals all over the country, but the one here was very new 18 months ago when he was sent there from ICU here in F'burg. They invited us to return to help in the celebration and I am canceling all my classes and private lessons tomorrow to take him. I got an email yesterday asking if I would speak at the Open House. So, amidst all my lesson planning, assignment writing, composition editing and general everyday "stuff" I am trying very hard to put together some notes so I don't forget the things we both want to say to these wonderful people.

I think Bob is as excited to get all dressed up tomorrow for the first time since January 16, 2011. Business casual is dressed up for him these days... :rotfl: He also wants to show off a bit for them. As hard as they all tried, they were not able to get him walking while he was there. At the end of his month at Kindred he could sit on the side of the bed and get into a wheel chair without passing out. He cannot wait to walk in that door using his walker. I can't wait to see him do it!
