Now I love Boston cream.

marshmallow creme from our local bakery, yum! Kinda like a beignet filled with fluffy marshmallow, wow, haven't had one in 3 years though, might have to remedy that!

If you are ever in Eugene or Portland Oregon you have to stop by Voodoo donuts absolutely fantastic.


For me apple fritter is my go to. Problem is I cannot find many places can do it correct. First it needs to be large should be the size of a tea saucer. Next the texture needs to be a tad hard on the outside but fluffy on the inside. Lastly it needs apples, not just apple flavoring I need to see chunks of sweet apples.

If not that, then donut holes (but I don't like glazed whole donuts? So, I'm weird.)

My overall favorite is the fresh, warm cinnamon donuts they make at an apple orchard back home. Along with a cup of fresh pressed cider, on a chilly fall morning...that's heaven right there.

Other than that, I'd pick:
1. maple bar from quik trip
2. honey glazed from tim hortons
3. strawberry frosted from DD

If you're ever in Southern NJ head over to Century Bakery in Bridgeton...they make THE BEST fried donuts (dough spread with cinnamon, sugar, butter I believe and wrapped jelly roll style, cut then fried and then iced)...never found anything like them anywhere else...topped with your favorite icing (chocolate for me!)...puts DD and other chains to shame! Thanks Century!!

Fresh cider doughnuts from the apple orchard during the fall.

I can't wait to try these when I go back to New England in the fall! Woodstock Orchards and then Bolton Orchards, here I come!

I love all donuts, especially if they're from Dunkin Donuts. My favorite are Blueberry crunch-blueberry jelly filled with a crunchy topping. Do they still make those? I also love bavarian creme. Oh, heck-I love all DD!

The local Martins (Giant Foods) store makes a yummy peanut butter filled donut..it's a reg. donut, filled with peanut butter cream, topped with choc. frosting..now I want one!

my all time favorite donut is the next one. KK are great when hot, awful when not, but my favorite is probably is an apple fritter from Tim horton's.

I get the plain cake donuts, cut them in half, spread with butter, and grill on the griddle.
