Maybe you can help me. I rcvd a 1099 from former employer and the irs is not accepting his tax id

Then that probably means it's wrong on the 1099. I would contact that employer ASAP to get the correct number.

Sounds like it may be a problem on the IRS' end. If that is the case...I can't help ya.

well I filed without it and will amend it. Never had to do that before. I swear this is the last year I do my own taxes~!

Definately sounds like you will have to do an ammended return. But don't worry...from what I hear they are easy. Though I have never done one myself.
