It's gonna take a lot to take me away from this view! 7/10 - Finished!

I enjoyed the gif-tastic retelling of your journey home. :thumbsup2

I love ME, I really do. But there is always that moment of what if it's late and I miss my flight etc. Meh.

I will say that AKL was one of my favorite places. We stayed there two years ago on rented points and the view was worth any amount of money I paid. Especially my daughter (then two years old) looking out the windows and every time saying, "Wow!!"

I will tell you that if you get to stay at Beach Club Villas, it is so worth it! We stayed there for the first time in February and the pool is better than any I've ever seen. I also love the proximity to Epcot and BW. The food choices at Beach Club are so-so for CS. We did CS only last time, but a short walk over to BW and a plethora of food options are at your fingertips. :thumbsup2

Aww Wendy, I can totally understand just wanting to be home at that point. Especially knowing you had such a journey ahead. And feeling sick on top of that... yucky.

But Woot Woot Halifax Stanfield International Airport!!! :cheer2:

I know your feeling about DME. I sometimes wish they'd pick us last or pick us up earlier.

And even though you're sad to go home, you can't wait to be home since you want to be done with the security, flight, etc...

I hope the flights were barable.

Three flights!?!? That is Disney dedication!

I really enjoyed following you along on your trip report! Such great pictures! Sorry it ended with a cold, but you will just need to get a do-over soon! :thumbsup2

I'm totally wondering now what time was your flight home? (I ask cause I'm trying to figure out if we will have time for a Boma breakfast on the day we leave or if DME will be too early a pick up)

lol, you had to buy another bag for your souvenirs!! Love it! :rotfl:

Sorry that you were feeling so awful on the last day! But can't wait for the your favorites and follow up post!

Oh Wendy, so sorry you were feeling ick at the end of your trip. I understand just wanting to be home and in your bed at that point.

Despite the late start for the DME at least you made it to the airport and through security ok without any issues. I panic when I see those horrendous security lines at MCO. Goodness!

Despite your contact lens mishap, being smacked around by a backpack, and getting sick, you had some wonderfully amazing moments on your trip. THANK you for sharing and especially for your collection of amazing photos! :)

I'm sure you must have been miserable on your travel day. Such a long trip.

Loved your Harry Potter GIF!

Breakfast at Boma is not a bad way to end your stay, though.

They must use different buses to and from Disney because the Magical Express ride is much different from the Tragical Depress journey.

What a relief to finally get home! If I recall correctly, it took you awhile to recover after your trip.

:worried:

Looking forward to your wrap up!

:thumbsup2

Phew! read all 40 pages, with a bit of a break in the middle when the disboards apparently crashed. I found this trip report from your September PTR ( becuase I am going in September and was looking for people at the same time :) ) Anyway, I jumped over to this one becuase we are staying at AKL in September and I loved your writing style and knew you would have great AKL pics to share for sure.
For starters- you are killing me with the Zebra Domes.. I love those darn things and can't wait to get them.. yummmmm
Next, I love your photos, I wish I could sit down with you for a few hours and pick your brain.. lol. But I will be checking out your other PTR for camera details for sure.. I love taking action and fireworks photos and have great success with them but posed and people generally aren't my thing and so I don't feel quite as successful there..
and one last thought ( though not by far a sum of how wonderful your report was for me) Its A Small World is a "something special, something different ride" for me as well. I have been to Disney 4 times now but the one I hardly remember is that first one when I was about 7.. All I remember is riding Its A Small World with my grandma and everytime I ride it I feel a part of her with me.. My husband doesn't like the ride but I have to go once each visit.. I need that something special.

NOOOOOOOO! I don't want you to be home, but I do recall you saying how sick you were. That had to be really hard traveling so far and not feeling well at all.

Looking forward to your final thoughts! :thumbsup2

I hate going home days, but I also know that you really needed to at this point the way you were feeling. I'm glad you got to go to Boma for breakfast and that you got home safely.

I can't wait to hear your final thoughts on AKL.

Wow, I can't believe you've reached the end of your trip already. I know you went in November, but it feels like you just started this report.

I think anyone in your condition would be anxious to get back home!

Really looking forward to reading your review of AKL and hearing your overall thoughts of the place.

3 flights while feeling so sick is NOT fun! I bet it was nice to get home and sleep in your own bed though!

Oh, and I love that your Boma server remembers your orders - that's a perfect example of Disney service!! :thumbsup2

Sorry that you were so miserable on the last day! Stinks to be so sick at Disney but at least it was a travel day.
True. Travel days stink anyway, so if you have to be sick and you have to travel, might as well do them together!

The one time we use DME it was late as well and they had to turn away people because there were more people waiting than there were seats on the bus. That was pretty unmagical. Luckily we weren't an international flight so it all worked out.
Oh my, that's very unmagical! What do those people do then? Yikes!

I have definitely enjoyed all of your TR!
Well thank you!

I enjoyed the gif-tastic retelling of your journey home. :thumbsup2

I love ME, I really do. But there is always that moment of what if it's late and I miss my flight etc. Meh.
Ahh I had to liven it up a little! :rotfl:
You know, when we first took ME it was fantastic, but I feel like it's been getting steadily worse. I don't know if they're cutting back or what but each trip we seem to get later. Next time I'm going to have to request an earlier pick up time, even if that does leave me waiting around for 5 hours.

I will say that AKL was one of my favorite places. We stayed there two years ago on rented points and the view was worth any amount of money I paid. Especially my daughter (then two years old) looking out the windows and every time saying, "Wow!!"

AKL is really incredible. I think I said wow every time I looked out the windows myself!
BCV is on the top of our list for next year's trip! That pool looks really awesome. I can't wait to try it out.

Aww Wendy, I can totally understand just wanting to be home at that point. Especially knowing you had such a journey ahead. And feeling sick on top of that... yucky.

But Woot Woot Halifax Stanfield International Airport!!! :cheer2:
I think I begged for death that day... :lmao: It was bad. It was quite a relief to be in Halifax though! Knowing I only had one more flight to go!

I know your feeling about DME. I sometimes wish they'd pick us last or pick us up earlier.

And even though you're sad to go home, you can't wait to be home since you want to be done with the security, flight, etc...

I hope the flights were barable.
I think I'm going to request an earlier pick up time next trip, just in case!
The flights were horrible due to the ear infection and altitude. :sad2: It was not pleasant!

Three flights!?!? That is Disney dedication!

I really enjoyed following you along on your trip report! Such great pictures! Sorry it ended with a cold, but you will just need to get a do-over soon! :thumbsup2
Yep, most times that's what it takes for me to get out of my tiny corner of the world!
Haha yes, we have a do-over planned to make up for it. At least it was only one day!

I'm totally wondering now what time was your flight home? (I ask cause I'm trying to figure out if we will have time for a Boma breakfast on the day we leave or if DME will be too early a pick up)
Our flight, if I remember correctly, left at 1pm. Our pick up time was 9:35 which we thought was more than enough (I thought that usually they allow 4 hours for international flights, we thought 3.5 was cutting it close anyway...) So we had a really early breakfast ADR (7:30) and since we were already at the resort it was easy to maneuver.

lol, you had to buy another bag for your souvenirs!! Love it! :rotfl:
NOT the first time...

Sorry that you were feeling so awful on the last day! But can't wait for the your favorites and follow up post!
Me too actually, I'm at work today and if things stay this slow (one customer in an hour...) I'm going to work on summarizing things and maybe get something ready to post this weekend. :goodvibes

Oh Wendy, so sorry you were feeling ick at the end of your trip. I understand just wanting to be home and in your bed at that point.
Aww thanks Brenda. It sucked for sure, thankfully only 7 months later and I've basically blocked out the bad from this trip!

Despite the late start for the DME at least you made it to the airport and through security ok without any issues. I panic when I see those horrendous security lines at MCO. Goodness!
Ohhh me too! I think the lines weren't as bad as usual that trip which definitely saved us. It got pretty scary!

Despite your contact lens mishap, being smacked around by a backpack, and getting sick, you had some wonderfully amazing moments on your trip. THANK you for sharing and especially for your collection of amazing photos! :)
Overall the good so outweighed the bad that I still think this was the best trip ever. I don't even remember the mishaps, (other than to laugh at the contact incident!)
Thank YOU for reading along with me!

I'm sure you must have been miserable on your travel day. Such a long trip.
Oh Dee, it was the worst day ever. I've never been so relieved to be home!

Loved your Harry Potter GIF!
Hehe fitting, right?

Breakfast at Boma is not a bad way to end your stay, though.
Definitely not, it was an excellent sendoff! (and a great way to fill bellies before a travel day!)

They must use different buses to and from Disney because the Magical Express ride is much different from the Tragical Depress journey.
So true. I guess attitude has a lot to do with that too. ;)

What a relief to finally get home! If I recall correctly, it took you awhile to recover after your trip.

:worried:
You are correct! 4 weeks before my ear unplugged. :sad2: I even went to the doctor, the last time I did that was 12 years ago when I broke my hand! :rotfl:

Looking forward to your wrap up!

:thumbsup2
Thanks! I'm working on it as soon as I finish replies!

Phew! read all 40 pages, with a bit of a break in the middle when the disboards apparently crashed. Wow! That's a lot of reading! We love September, the crowds are so low! The only drawback is the heat but if I can deal with it, anyone can!

For starters- you are killing me with the Zebra Domes.. I love those darn things and can't wait to get them.. yummmmm
Omg I was so happy we finally got to try them... but now I want them and can't have them! Such a tease!

I don't like doing poses much. I do it in the studio all the time, but I'd much rather grab some candid shots!

and one last thought ( though not by far a sum of how wonderful your report was for me) Its A Small World is a "something special, something different ride" for me as well. I have been to Disney 4 times now but the one I hardly remember is that first one when I was about 7.. Aww! I'm so glad I'm not the only one, what a special memory!

NOOOOOOOO! I don't want you to be home, but I do recall you saying how sick you were. That had to be really hard traveling so far and not feeling well at all.

Looking forward to your final thoughts! :thumbsup2
Not a fun day for sure, the worst was what the altitude did to my infected ear! :scared1:
Getting the final thoughts all organized today, with any luck!

I hate going home days, but I also know that you really needed to at this point the way you were feeling. I'm glad you got to go to Boma for breakfast and that you got home safely.

I can't wait to hear your final thoughts on AKL.
Going home is usually the worst, but man did I need it then! It was so nice to have one last stop at Boma before we had to go.
AKL review is coming up next! If the store stays empty, I'll work on it this morning/afternoon!

Wow, I can't believe you've reached the end of your trip already. I know you went in November, but it feels like you just started this report.
I agree! I counted it out and realized it's 7 months since our trip!

I think anyone in your condition would be anxious to get back home!
Absolutely, it was a really rotten day!

Really looking forward to reading your review of AKL and hearing your overall thoughts of the place.
Coming right up!

3 flights while feeling so sick is NOT fun! I bet it was nice to get home and sleep in your own bed though!
The flights were really bad, hard on the infected ear. My bed was never so welcoming though!

Oh, and I love that your Boma server remembers your orders - that's a perfect example of Disney service!! :thumbsup2
He was great, and I was surprised because we weren't particularly memorable guests! :lmao:

Awwwwww. I can't even imagine being on three different airplanes if I felt that miserable. You poor thing.

Can't wait to read your wrap-up!!!

Oh yeah, it was pretty bad. I was never so happy to get home!
Part one of the wrap up is coming right up!
