I have been dieting for 8 weeks and been doing ok down 22 lbs. I have over 100 to lose altogether so it may seem huge to most but barely makes a dent to me.

I have been using Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice to help get on eh right footing before going solo with my own cooking. An tonite - I actually felt full after dinner - YEAH!!

One of those meals looked so ouny compared to my old eating habits, but I actually left a few crumbs in the plate.

So guess it is working stomach is shrinking, it is nice to feel full for a change.
 
Tiggersmom - I have 80 pounds left to lose but I started off with 140 to lose. It's been six months (tomorrow) and I'm almost half way there. The time will go by whether we do something about taking the weight off or not and I'm happy to see that you are chosing action!

Congrats on the 22 pounds lost! Also, good for you and your shrinking stomach. You can do this, we can do this together!!!! :bounce: :bounce:
 
Thanks - this board has been a huge help. It is hard to talk to people when you have so much to lose.
 
I felt the exact same way. I'm not putting down anyone with a few pounds to lose but sometimes when you are talking about losing thriple digits and in my case trying to lose half your body weight, it can be hard to talk to people about the enormous job you are taking on and you wonder if people truly understand how you feel.

There is a lady at my job that started South Beach a month after I did and she and I talk often because she has 100 pounds to lose so we feel like kindred spirits. Being obese is not something I would wish on anyone but it's nice to talk to others that have been there and done that, if you know what I mean.

Keep posting here because like you said, this is a wonderful place for support, no matter how much or how little you have to lose! :wave2:
 

The lean cuisine meals are good, but you are right they do not have much food in them. I eat them for lunch and I pack a small salad to eat with the meal. I bought those pre-packaged salad mixes and it makes it a lot easier than making a salad each day.
If I eat one for dinner, I make a huge salad, I eat half of the salad, then my meal, and then the last half of the salad.
Staying on plan is a bit easier if you feel satisfied after you've eaten.

WATER WATER WATER...... drink a bottle before you eat and force yourself to drink one after........ those meals will begin to really be satisfing!

Tiggersmom, 10 months ago tomorrow, I was like you I had over 100lbs to lose, then I found WISH. To date I have lost 114lbs since I took the WISH challenge ( I also lost 21lbs before joining WISH). The time for me has gone so fast, and I am a different person than I was 10 months ago. I went on my first hospital ward as a student nurse yesterday. There's no way that I would've done that before I lost all this weight. For one thing I would not have been able to keep up physically. I only sat down for 20 minutes in a 7.5 hour period, my legs wouldn't have been able to take that with all the extra weight. I am now between 11-18lbs from goal, depending what weight I decide I'm comforatble at. You can do this! Stay OP, drink your water, and try and get some exercise in. I'm going to be looking for your 100lb clippie! :hyper:

:cheer2: Excellent on your 22 lbs gone for eva!! I bet your clothes are really getting loose or maybe youve even had to replace some!! Oh what a feeling!!
