Small update but my Mom and Sister are going to come down for a few days in Disney I am really excited about it. I am trying to get them to 100 percent confirm because I want to try to add them to our reservatiion at Park Fare. We are going to add some more days on to the trip I think we are going to get there a day early and stay 2 days later if everything works out good. I am going to wait to add the days until I see how my daughter surgery has gone. We are also going to add on a waterpark day my daughter really wants to try a water park but the thought of myself in a swimsuit scares me typing this as I am eating cheesecake LOL!

Is there any way I can change this threads title?

How exciting that you might have tag-alongs! Since you are adding more days, I would encourage you to skip the park hoppers. They are a lot of extra money that you could spend on another night at the hotel or new clothes for the trip. Extra days of base tickets are cheap! I think I only paid 8.00 for our family of 4 to have an extra day last year. You sound like a careful planner, so you probably won't need the hopper. Just know that you can't use 2 base ticket days in one day trying to go to two different parks.

At one point we were going in June. Did you know that weekends in June are Star Wars weekends? My family (not me) was excited about that. If it isn't exciting to you, you might avoid Hollywood Studios on weekends in June.

I thought it was interesting you mentioned that it would feel weird in April when the dates rolled around and you wouldn't be in Disney. I considered that too. Since I am teaching 4th grade unexpectedly, I won't even be home to do something to get ready for the trip. I'll probably be suffering through Parent-Teacher Conferences or something!!!!

By the way, it is very inconvenient for teachers when kids are out of school, but very, very worth it!!!!!!!! Any teacher who thinks a child should miss Disney World to sit in their classroom is just egotistical! With that said, I have to admit that I feel like I have to think twice about taking my third grader out of school now because there is so much content. He is a straight a student, and would be able to make up the work, but it would be a lot of work.

We are going to not do the park hopper and just add more days on. We only hopped one last time and I don't think it is going to be worht the money. I know that everything happens for a reason and am glad we cancelled before all of this but I am thinking I will just be so glad that my daughter is okay I am trying to stay positive with the whole situation.

I completely agree about the school thing but I am going to have a much better time not having to worry about her making up work. Also now with the health problems I dont know how much total school she will miss.

My husband and daughter LOVE Star Wars so they are really excited about going I just hope it is not to crazy!

Hi,

My daughters surgery went alot better than expected and they called yesterday with the biopsy results and she is cancer free We go to the doctors today and they are going to take the stitches out then we don't have to go back for three months.

We leave for disney in 54 Days!!!! We added a few days on the trip we are now getting there June 12th and staying till the 22nd. We decided to get the water park option because my daughter really wants to go. My Mom and sister are definitely coming for 3 days so that will be fun.

We had to switch from Pop to All Star Music, I was not thrilled but we couldn't get the additional days at Pop and we could stay the whole 9 nights at ASM and not have to move. I am sure it will be fine but I was really excited about staying at Pop we thought about going to moderate but it is just not in my budget right now.

We also decided not to do the dining plan I am going to pay out of pocket we figured we would save about 200.00 on the dining plan if we order the highest priced item and got dessert at every Table Service. My daughters got bored last time with the kids menu while we are on the dining plan and I ended up paying out of pocket for some of the cs meals. We had kids cs left over. I am actually excited about paying out of pocket because this way I don't have to worry about if they took the right amount of credits and if it is included or not.

My Mom and Sister and definitely coming, They are staying at Old Key West my Mothers cousins are part of DVC and are going to come also and let them stay for free. So while I am in my value they will be in a deluxe resort LOL!

I just started reading your pretrippie today through your link. So glad your DD is doing well and cancer free . I'm sure your really looking forward to this trip now and definately celebrate!! You have 2 very pretty girls. Loved the makeover pics too.
I agree with your thought on the DDP too as it didn't make sense for us this year either. We are still doing all our TS but Out of pocket. As for switching to ASMu. If I were to pick a value resort I would stay there since we tried Pop already. ASMu is supposed to be quieter and the rooms there and at ASSPorts have been refurbished. Make sure to check out the ASmu fact thread. Alot of people say it's more like a moderate because of the foilage and the pillow top matresses. Here is the link.

We are 29 days out and I am so excited

I didn't realize that the whole month of June was holiday pricing so now we are doing the dining plan again. I haven't added it yet because I called and they said you oculd add it up to 3 days ahead of time so I want to talk to my husband first. Our disney store is going out of business so I got me 2 shirts, Tom 2 shirts and the girls both a outfit and it was only $65.00

My Mom and sister have to make two more adr's I keep telling them they need to do it but they keep putting it off it is not me but it is driving me crazy.

I am going to start making my packing list and going through everyones clothes to see what we all need. I was upset about switching from Pop to ASM but now I am really excited.

We have been really busy with end of the year school stuff and also family stuff going on. I start going through every ones clothes and made everyone a packing list. My husband doesn't think we are going to have room for everything in the car and thinks I should plan on doing laundry in Disney which I am really against it is vacation I don't want to be doing laundry. We are having a yard sale this weekend so we have been getting ready for that I figure anything we get rid of is more Disney spend money.

I finally had to make my Mom and Sisters ADR's yesterday I got tired of them messing around I told them to pick a few places and I would start at the top and hopefully we could get something. Of course they got their top choices with no problem. My mom kept asking why were you so stressed out it was easy

I can not wait every day me and the kids are talking about it I can't wait for all the food and to have a lapu lapu. It definitely has been a roller coaster but hopefully all the bad is behind us my daughters stitches finally are out so thats a huge relief.

I can not believe we are this close and can not believe how much stuff I have left to do. We have a crazy weekend so that will help time go faster I still need to pick up last minute things for the trip and I am going to start packing on Monday.


I have to go to the airport on Saturday to sign a paper so they will let my Mom and Sister on the plane. I let them use my credit card because my sister didn't have the money for the airplane tickets and they were 40.00 cheaper that day. So they go and buy them online and now find out that they can't board the plane unless I am with them which is impossible because I will be half way to Disney. So I have to go to the airport which is a hour away from my house and sign papers so they can get on the plane hopefully everything goes well with the flight or there is going to be a huge problem so that has me a nervous wreck.

They cancelled their reservationf or Yachtmas and are going to Olivias we were afraid they would not have enough travel time from once they land to get to the reservation.

Hi,

I can not believe that it is finally here I am so excited to go and am still packing but don't have much more to do. I had to cook for my husbands gram that lives with us for 10 days and freeze it becasue her daughter who is staying with her refuses to cook

I am very emotional today I just keep thinking how this has been the hardest year of my life and all the stuff that we went through with my daughter. I know she is okay but it still is very hard to deal with it all. I amto t just so glad that we are able to take this vacation and really celebrate that my baby is fine.

We are leaving at 6am and going to dirve 10 or 12 hours and get a hotel. I didn't book one ahead of time because I want to see how far we can get. We are hoping to check into ASMU around 1:00 on Thursday then head over to Epcot. We have no ADR's this day because we were not sure about the travel and I am really excited to hopefully get to eat around the world!

I have been a lurker, but I have to say, Just read (or re-read) your PTR and I am so excited for you. You really deserve this trip after this crazy year. I am so glad everything is fine with your DD. You are all going to have the time of your lives!

Have the time of your life, and travel safely. As I always tell my bride friends, just stop at least once a day, breathe in wherever you are, soak it all in and remind yourself you are at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Our Disney Store closed this month too!!! Now how will we get our Disney fix? Maybe it is the same store!
