It's finally here leaving in the morning!

I start making a list of must do's for the park it is funny though because we love MK and we almost have the entire park down! I didn't do anything for animal kingdom because I am not sure if we are planning on it or not will add that later. Love your must do's!!!

My step-son will miss TEN days of school for our trip!!:scared1: He is in second grade. His teacher has been very supportive, she has assured us that she will give us as much school work as possible to get done on the drive down and back from Florida, and then she will give us any other work he missed when we return. This way he has not fallen behind and will still keep his grades up.

I realized this is a huge hassle for her, having to grade his papers seperate and taking the time to get them ready early, so I will have my stepson pick out something nice for her!!

Hi that is great that she is being so good about him being out of school! If they had not been so sick the past few weeks I wouldn't be as worried both of their teachers are great but I am just afraid that it is going to be too much so hopefully it will all work out. Report cards are next week and I will be able to see how many days they have missed already so hopefully I am just overreacting and they haven't missed as much as I thought.

Well we got the report cards yesterday and I saw how many days missed and we have to cute the trip down

Hi:goodvibes I just noticed you have a PTR so I had to come over and join in on the fun!
The pictures of your girls are great! They are so pretty and look so sweet:cutie:
I bet they are so excited knowing they get to go back to WDW soon!!!
Your itenerary sounds great. Lots of great places to eat ~ especially Coral Reef:cloud9:
You're missing one really good place though...Bomas:lovestruc It's so wonderful!!!
You have a pretty busy schedule, looks like you might need to try to go to SeaWorld on your next visit, maybe in Sept. That would be so fun going twice in one year!
We are going again in Sept. too, we are not going to tell the kids until we are on the road!!!! They have always wanted to be surprised but I could never do it, but this time I will! We are going to go in Sept. for MNSSHP ~ you've got to go if you are there during the party it's so fun!!!

Well, I'm looking forward to more, your trip will be here before you know it, believe me!

Your preTrippie is so much fun to read. Your scheduals look pretty good...

Have you sent notes or talked to the teachers yet? we have taken ds out of school a week for the past 3 school years. But he's like your youngest all A's but he doesn't have to try. he's in 2nd grade. My middle dd who's 5 y/o is in K5 and missed school the two years but it was only preschool. she's having a harder time now that it's all day, and so much more talbe time then pre school was. so we decided to do most of our vacation durring their spring break, not the best time to go to Disney (not the best time at all!) but we'll make it work. they will still be missing a 1/2 day the first day, then a whole day and then the friday we are in Disney they were only having a 1/2 day of school anyways so 2 full days total. then we may keep them home the first day back depending when we get home.

Hi! I haven't wrote the teachers yet but I have talked to them they will only miss 5 days the way we replanned the trip instead of 9 or 10 days. Next trip I am going to have to plan it around school my kids have never missed so much school and of course this year they have been sick alot. That's good that you are able to go without your kids missing too much school.

Hi,

My younger daughters teacher sent me these forms home that I have fill out to request them being out of school for Disney. I have to put when and where we are going and also what educational things we will be learning. The kids will also have to write a report and do all the work. I am going to fill them out and turn them in tomorrow what happens if they say no though?:confused3

I am also really really worried with how big the crowds are going to be when we planned it said it was a great time to go. Now it seems like there is so much going on down there with some spring breaks, gradnights and cheerleading competion. If it wasn't for the reservationf or the castle I would cancel the trip till June because I am so stressed out with the kids and if they get sick again and now it seems like it is going to be packed.

Don't worry so much. It will most likely be approved just stress the educational aspects (Epcot alone is great for this) If they so no it is an unexcused absence you can still take them you just have to find out what that means as far as being able to make up school work, ect. The crowds are likely to be big in June too so I would stick with what you have. Do't worry- you are gonna have a great trip! :goodvibes

Autograph Books- Last time I bobought them off of ebay and think it would have been cheaper to just buy them at Disney.

Matching Shirts? I am thinking maybe for one day we will get some sort of cute shirts made but don't know how my husband is going to feel about it.

Hi there! I will be visiting the World at the same time and celebrating an anniversary as well (only 2 years though!) The first part of our trip is being spent with DH entire family at POP and then we're spending a few days just the 2 of us at POFQ. I thought I would share 2 ideas.
I made autograph books for my nephews using small scrapbooks I found at a craft store. I decorated the inside pages and cover with stickers and such and they came out really cute. The pages are nice and thick so the marker ink won't bleed through.
We also made matching shirts for the whole gang (11 of us) using iron on transfer sheets that you can print on from your computer (we picked these up at Target pretty cheap and they worked very well) and $2 shirts from the craft store.
April can't get here soon enough! :cool1:

Wow, it's getting closer and closer:cool1:

I bet April is a pretty time to go to the World.

I wouldn't worry too much about the girls and school either, at least they could get out those 5 days!

You guys are going to have so much fun:wizard:

Hi,
Just saw this report and read it. sounds like a good time minus the hassle of the school issue.
Can't wait to read more of the planning and the trip itself.

Thanks! I am sure it will all work ok but I am really stressed out this trip for some reason. I sent the papers in so once I hear back I will feel a lot better.

Hi Happy Anniversary! Thanks for the ideas on the shirts I am going to try to come up with a design this weekend. Maybe we will see you around Pop I am thinking of putting something on my backpack with my dis name on it.

Can't wait to read more of the planning and the trip itself.

Hi! I am hoping the kids will stay healthy and I won't have to worry about the school anymore. Hopefully soon I will have some more things to post

WARNING.... This is going to be long

Well everything htat has been going wrong with my April trip has and it finally got the last hit yesterday my husbands work is doing a huge migration while we are gone and asked if he could possibly change our vacation and they would offer him another week of vacation. Also I don't know if I mentioned but my husbands grandmother lives with us and I was having trouble because her daughter worked getting someone to stay with her.

So we decided to cancel and go in JUNE and NOVEMBER  !!! I wasn't as upset about cancelling the trip because i kept feeling like everything in the world is going wrong but I was very upset about CRT.

So I call and get a great CM that hometown is 20 minutes away from me we got the reservations then I had to one by one and cancel every reservation I kept telling him this is so depressing I am ready to cry. It was like a punishment for me to have to read every one of those reservation number and have him cancel them:mad:

So we start doing ADR's and I said for the heck of it let's try CRT I said for any day so he got it for the first day we are there I said okay for the heck of it let's try on Fathers day and we got it for lunch :yay:

I got every single one of my ADR's that I had originally wanted I was in shock I kept saying I can't believe that I got all of these again

So here they are so far

Cinderella Royal Table
Coral Reef
Akerhaus
Chef Mickey
1900 Park Fare
50's prime time cafe

I talked to my husbands aunt and there is no problem with her coming and staying with gram and the cat while we are gone. We were in Disney for Fathers day the same time last year and loved it I am a little upset that my countdown clock is gong back up but everything has worked out.

I haven't posted in a while but we have had alot of things goin on and now going to Disney is the least of my worries.

My 9 year old daughter had what looked like a pimple on her head on the back of her scalp. I took her last year they said it was a infected hair follicle and not to have it removed that she was too young for the procedure and to come back next year so I take her and biopsys have come back that it was not normal cells and is now a mole.

We had to go meet a doctor and she will be having surgery on April 10th and 11th they are gong to remove the area around where the mole was removed and also will have to remove her lymphnodes.

I have been so upset with all of thsi going on and one minute I am crying then the next minute I am mad as hell.

The doctor feels that if we do this that she will be okay but I just have to pray that it has not spread to other parts of her body.

I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason and now I feel 100 percent thankful that I switched the April trip to June. We are hoping that everything will be okay and our June trip will be a celebration that my daughter is fine~

So sorry to hear about what you are all going through with your daughter. My thoughts are with you that everything will be fine and she will heal up quickly. :grouphug:

Oh Mindy, that's terrible! i hope everything goes OK and that your DD will be fine!:goodvibes It is a good thing your trip is in June now! It will be just what you all need!:thumbsup2 :flower3:

I am reading your trip report! I a little late joining, but better late than never!

Make Reservations for hotel on the way down -

We skipped the hotel and drove straight through....19 hours!!!!!!! last trip. It was worth it. We saved a lot of money. Plus, I am super picky about where I'll bed down and am often disappointed in accomodations, so we skipped that whole hassle. It gave us an extra night at Disney in a Disney hotel instead of the luck of the draw somewhere else. DH came home from work and slept from 2:30-10:30PM. We then drove through the night. He was rested for most of the night then it wasn't so tempting to fall asleep driving the end part of the trip throught the day. Does that make sense? He drove almost the entire 19 hours himself, so we could have traded off more if he got sleepy. Alternately, we left Disney at 11:00 AM arriving back home at 6:00AM. That was very, very hard. The last hour you are so tired, but there is no way you are stopping at a hotel at that point! There are always rest stops that you could grab a few winks in a pinch!

Autograph Books-

Possibly. I have used Dollar Tree note pads with furry princess covers in the past, but I saw some really cool ones at Disney last year where you put a photo in one side of the child and the character and the autograph on the other side. Very cool, but I am not sure I would like to tote that around all day.

Princess Dresses-
LOL. You just never know. We are going to try dressing up this time for the first time at the park. The Disney Store had this lovely golden dress on sale after Christmas. It is sleeveless and satin on the inside and the outside. It is thin light material. It has the 3 princesses on a lovely button set onto a bow. It is super soft and flowing material. I thought that would be better than the stiff cardboard-y type character dresses. We too are going to do BBB and CRT. DH can't wait to wear the dress in MK, but the actual happiness level on that day will have a lot to do with bedtime the night before! DH is 7 years old. I am more concerned about shoes working out all day than the dress. What kind of shoes were you going to wear?

Matching shirts-
We bought matching family shirts from the Disney Store the summer before we went. Unfortunately, I bought a skirt. I didn't really want to wear the skirt because I wanted to wear tennis shoes in the parks. So I hunted and hunted on eBay and actually found a matching shirt for me months later than when I actually bought the set in the store! Would you believe that there were hundreds of people in the MK wearing the same shirts????? One large family from Wisconsin was all gathered together sharing afternoon treats wearing the same shirts as we were. We went up to them and asked for our treats too. They looked twice at us, trying to place who we were. It was a good laugh. They didn't share their treats though!

Everything will turn out OK for your daughter. Just have faith. Then when the big trip rolls around you will appreciate it even more than you would have before all the worry.

I hope I didn't hijack your thread!

Thank you very much I am trying to stay positive but I keep having breakdowns

Sounds like a fun trip-- I've always wanted to stay at Pop Century!

Hi! We are very excited about going and staying at pop I think we are going to love it!

Oh Mindy, that's terrible! i hope everything goes OK and that your DD will be fine!:goodvibes It is a good thing your trip is in June now! It will be just what you all need!:thumbsup2 :flower3:

Thank you very much I am happy that we put the April trip off but it is still going to be hard when the dates come and we should be in Disney but with everything with my daughter I am glad we decided to cancel ahead of times.

I am reading your trip report! I a little late joining, but better late than never!
