It's finally here leaving in the morning!

I guess I am really boring I never have anything to write hopefully my trip report will be better.

I have been reading tons of trip reports and dining reviews and can't wait to leave. I think me and my husband are more excited then the kids. We might have to cut the trip back a day then we originally planned because of the kids with school I am getting really nervous about pulling them out for so long.

We had a great Christmas the kids got way too many presents and I spent way to much money I found the Wii so they were shocked I think this is going to be my last year that they are going to believe in the whole Santa thing so I wanted to really enjoy it.

I have the Hannah Montana concert on friday then my daughters birthday is in January and I need to plan that then all I plan on doing for the next 3 1/2 months is buy things for disney and plan things out I definitely want to see Tink fly and want to figure out the best place to see it. We are also debating whether or not to get the park hopper last time we only hopped once but we didnt make it to animal kingdom so I am thinking should I get the park hopper because everyone tells me Animal kindgom isn't a whole day park or not get the hopper and just use a full day at animal kingdom and if we get done early just relax at the hotel.

Hi! We are broke from our last trip (October 07), but I can't help but think about our next possible Disney adventure. We are thinking of going during April vacation in 09 (sooo far away :headache:). We have a late April vacation (usually) that runs into May so I am hoping that since we don't bump up against Easter it may be an OK time to go. :confused3 Can't wait to read about your trip. Amy

I am so excited that they added a Princess and Pirate date for while we are down there:banana: I am just hoping the tickets don't sell out before I can buy them I am broke from Christmas LOL!!!

Hi...

You will have to let me know how it was when you get back. I am very nervous about the crowds I wanted to go in November but my husband could't wait that long lol. I went in June last time so I am hoping it won't be any worse than last time.

I have heard that June is one of the busiest times of year to go. Depending when people have April school vacations April may or may not be busy. The fact that Easter is in March this year is good for you. Our school vacation falls the last week of April/into May and is always a week after most of the other schools so we think the very end of April will be good. I think you will be happy with your choice of week. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I am trying to figure out a suprise for my husband considering we are celebrating our 10th anniversary I thought about ordering a cake or getting something delivered to the room but can't decide.........

This is probably not what you are thinking of but it is a fun surprise. You can set up a head of time to have a diver swim by your table at Coral Reef with a happy anniversary sign. They also do personalized menus that you can have pictures added to. It is super easy to set up and they do it free of charge. I did it for my nephews birthday. He was so surprised we all had fun with it. they also did an anniversary while we were there.

Photo bucket is being weird and I can't find my uploaded pic of the diver but here is Zach’s personalized menu

This is the sign the diver was holding. they gave the sign to Zach at the end of the meal

Your PTR caught my eye because we share the same dates for this April!

I am so excited for your girls....CRT is so lovely and such a wonderful photo op if they love the princesses. Here's an idea regarding the princess costumes that my sister used; it worked out well. She,too, was concerned about dressing her daughters (six and four) in their costumes for lunch:

She dressed her daughters normally that morning and brought along the costumes, placing them in a locker at the entrance to the MK when they arrived that day. When it came time to do BBB/CRT, she asked them if they wanted to change. (They did.) They were able to change clothes and they had the best of both words: no fussing with costumes when they were riding the rides, and being able to wear them for pictures with their heroines.

I think once they saw all the other little girls dressed up, they wanted to dress up, too. If they had been dressed up earlier they would have been complaining and wanting to take the costumes off! And if they had decided that they didn't want to change, well, at least she didn't have to carry the costumes around in a bag all morning.

We were at WDW one year on my DH's birthday....the best treat I could give him was to relinquish my operational planning for the evening and let him decide what we did the entire night. (I am an obsessive planner and he just likes to "go with the flow".) You don't necessarily need to spend big bucks...just make nice memories!

Looking forward to more...

Kathy

Thanks for the idea I am considering trying to do this but I keep hearing rumors that they are going to quit doing it? I am pretty sure if they don't I am going to do this and maybe get a cake.

Hi... I will have to go check your plans out I am hoping April will not be too busy for us. I think I am going to buy the princess dressess and take them with me I really don't think my older daughter is going to do it she backed out on BBB last time. I told her they can do your hair like a pirate now so she says she is going to do it so we will see.

Oh I hope they don't stop doing the diver signs! :sad1: I was planning on doing it for my mother's birthday in July :)

Hi,

I am really thinking about cutting two days off of the trip because of school:confused3 I am just worried about how much they are going to miss and considering we are driving that adds more days on. Plus both of my kids missed a day last week and now they have had the stomach flu and have missed two this week.

My younger daughter is in first grade and does fantastic she can miss days and pick things right up. My older daughter is in third and when she misses it really hurts her because she is lazy and doesn't really care she figures if she can get B's and not study then thats good enough

She always makes honor roll but only high honor roll once. So I was telling her if you would study a little bit you could get high she said oh well its only a different color piece of paper. ( the certificate they are given). My husband is really against cutting it down 2 days but I am thinking I might have too.

I figure that stores will start putting their summer things out really soon so I can start buying clothes for the trip and also need to start looking for princess dresses other than that we are still considering whether or not to get the park hoppers last time we used them once so am leaning towards not getting them and maybe adding them on if we decide later.

Hi Mindy!

I just found your report and was curious because we will be in Disney from April 21-30th:goodvibes While you have 2 girls, I have 2 boys 8 & 7. My DH and I will also be celebrating our 10th Anniversary at the world! I feel your pain about taking the kids out of school. Ours will miss 3 days. The boys teachers were very understanding about it and really didn't give us any problems. Maybe your DD's teacher could give her the work she will miss and she could work on it during the car ride to Disney?:confused3 Anyway, whatever you decide I hope you have a great trip and I'm glad I stumbled onto your report:thumbsup2 We stayed at POP last year and it was so much fun! If you get a chance pop over to my Pre TR maybe our ADR's overlap!
