SO EXCITED...

I JUST got off the phone with a CM and she said that they've all been put on overtime on THURSDAY after I told her I'd be calling her back to change my ressie on that day! And she said 'wink wink!' ;)

If that isn't proof of Free Dining, I don't know what is! :rotfl:

Fingers crossed that is awesome!!

So excited!!! Looking for some advice please. We booked POP in February from 13th - 20th November. Would like to have the Regular Dining plan so planning to try and upgrade to a moderate as it's not much more than paying to upgrade the dining plan from Quick Service. I am in Ireland so dread to think how much it would cost to hold for three hours to modify my booking so my question is could I just do a new booking online when free dining becomes available and then cancel the Pop booking?

Thanks

I would assume you would lose out on your deposit if you canceled... But if you were to call and switch stuff around you wouldn't.

You should be able to book online.

You never lose your deposit unless you cancel within 45 days of arrival. You would lose trip insurance costs, though.

Not sure why you quoted me. :confused3

Because you responded and said the first party was Nov. 7th. I think she wanted the poster to realize that although the parties may start that early, the decorations may not be fully up in the rest of the areas by that time. The two don't necessarily correlate and we would hate to have someone book that early and be disappointed because it wasn't all they thought they would see. ;)

Maybe...would have made more sense to quote the person who asked about it, though. I was just answering the question about the party start date. :goodvibes

Everyone seems to be talking about calling to make reservations but can I book online instead or is that not recommended? I have a Disney Visa. Thanks!

You can't book the Visa FD online. Public offer next week can be booked online.

I'm hopeful.....but until I see "Dan"or"Black" OR "Black"or"Dan",I'm not quite ready to put out the flags!;)

I have reservations already made arriving November 1 through nov 8. If the dates are oct 26 .through November 1 and I am arriving on the first, then my vacation fits the bill for free dining , am I right?

Here's a dumb question... I'm going Dec 15-22. I'm staying DVC with my own points at VWL. I have a Disney Visa, do I qualify? I'm guessing not. I have an AP but it may "pay" to get 2 2 day park tickets.

I posted this in the other thread, but here are the key dates.

The free dining promo will likely be released to Disney Visa holders on Thursday, May 1st and to the public on Wednesday, May 7.

The likely dates included are:
August 31 - October 3
October 26 - November 1
November 9 - November 20
December 12 - December 23

Yep! :thumbsup2

Point stays are not eligible. FD requires paying full price for your room in addition to a ticket purchase.

I so hope that this is true. I'm just surprised that us Visa holders have not received any notification of this yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed :worship::banana:

They never send notification early. In fact, they don't generally send anything until mid day of release.

Visa never notifies card holders in advance for vacation offers. They will send out emails several hours after their deal goes live, and not even to everyone. They do give a heads up on Disney Store sales, but that's it.

This is my first year as a disney visa member so, thanks for the info. I'll call 7am Thursday and hope for the best

A quick update on possible exclusions.

It appears that French Quarter and Art of Animation may be excluded.

I am unable to determine at this time if it's all of the Art of Animation resort or just the Mermaid rooms.

Nevertheless, have a backup plan in place if you plan on staying at either of these popular resorts!

I just checked my old disney visa emails and the room only discount wasn't emailed to me until 138pm on the first day it was available to visa holders. However, there was a code that had to be given in order to make the reservation. Hopefully I won't have to wait for some silly code until I can take advantage of the FD reservation. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
I'm not going to be able to sleep for the next 2 nights:eek:
