Well, I'm home.
I've been wanting to say that for a week now.
If you followed me on Twitter, you know that what was supposed to be a happy, relaxing, magical 21st birthday trip turned into the saddest experience of my life.
Unfortunately, we lost our dog, Riley, on July 6th - the day after my birthday.

He was 11 years old, so it was his time, but,
really, who expects their dog to pass away while they are on vacation? We were all in shock. I tried my hardest to keep it together and attempted to enjoy the rest of our vacation, but it was impossible. I mean, crying hysterically every couple hours is not what Disney is for. Well, crying hysterically from extreme happiness is perfectly normal (I hope) but not big, ugly tears of sadness.
The good news for you guys is that, despite the fact that this will always be remembered as THE WORST DISNEY TRIP EVER, I'm still planning on doing a TR. We had tons of fun the first few days, and I'm hoping that reminiscing about those good times will be somewhat therapeutic. Plus, we ate a ton of food with Free Dining and not sharing my thorough reviews would be such a waste. Since we were there for my 21st birthday, I was planning on giving a bunch of drink reviews as well, but we got the news that Riley was in grave condition ON my birthday and, for personal reasons, I promised myself a looooong time ago that I'd never drink while depressed. So, we're just gonna have to go with my reviews of the food. And the crowds. And the 803233049323 Brazilian tour groups. And Coronado Springs, which was a beautiful resort, but it will, again, always be tainted with the 'Riley died while we stayed here' feeling.
Anyway, I will try to get the TR started ASAP. Also - this is the REALLY exciting part - there's a possibility that we may just go back in a few months for a quick Food & Wine re-do trip. It's still in the "Wouldn't it be fun if we...?" stages, but we'd all like to go back sooner rather than later, so we'll see what happens.
