To celebrate our SDD (and the fact that finally after 2 years on here I've finally figured out how to add pictures!! :rotfl:) I thought I'd do a quick PTR.

This trip has been a long time in the planning. It was booked last September which feels like such a long time ago! Unfortunately due to illness (I suffered with problems with my thyroid for months which is now thankfully being treated) and finances (or lack of decent offers on DLPs part!! :lmao:) we weren't able to do our intended trip last November so a lot of time and thought has gone into making this trip as great as we can on a still limited budget.

The Cast

Myself (28) This will be my 4th trip to DLP
DH (29) Also 4th trip to DLP but he's also been to WDW 5 times, lucky git!
DD Skye (5)
DS Cole (3) - This will be the children's 3rd trip although Cole was barely 2 on the last one so it will nice to see him really take everything in during this trip!

Here they are on our last trip ready for MNSSHP...

And here they are now...

What a difference 20 months makes!! They only found out we were going last weekend so are very excited and counting down the sleeps!!

How?

We're driving (or rather DH is!) It's our first time taking the road after flying the first time and going by Eurostar both time with the children. I am a little apprehensive and expect to be missing the Eurostar within 10 minutes if DH driving in France!!

Where?

We're staying at the Sequoia for the first time. Our first (as a couple) trip was spent at what is now the Magic Circus and then the other two at the Cheyenne. DH is still a little miffed that I upgraded us to the Sequoia as he loves the Cheyenne as is not looking forward to the lack of bunkbeads at the Sequoia!

Rough plans

We are planning to arrive at around 11am Sunday morning. This was originally so we could go straight to the Steakhouse Sunday brunch but as we managed to get bargain buffalo bills tickets (that were only available for that day of our trip) then the brunch has been ditched (bit of a pity as we loved this last time and is the reason we were arriving on a Sunday!) Buffalo Bills better be good!!! We're going to eat at EoS upon arrival and head straight to the parks!

Monday we intend on spending most of the day in Paris. The children want to go up the eiffel tower as we've always stayed at DLP on the other trips as DH didn't want to trek round Paris with them. This time I won that arguement!! :rotfl: Hopefully we'll eat at Cafe Mickey. Maybe head to the park to see Dreams again but will depend on how tired the kids are.

The rest of our trip will be spent between the parks with our dining plans being Tuesday - Inventions lunch, Wednesday - Agrabah and Thursday - Walts.

I'm hoping to see as many Dreams shows as I can even if I have to watch alone as everyone else has fallen into bed!

As we will attempt to make use of EMH but still see Dreams we will be taking a good few hours out during the busiest part of the day either having a nap or making use of the pool (especially if it's hot!) We'd also like to pop over to Val d'europe as we haven't been there since our very first trip just the two of us!

I can't wait to get there now! but I'm equally dreading coming home! already looking at a Christmas return!! :goodvibes

coming home is always the worst part  It sounds like you and your gorgeous children are going to have a wonderful time. :goodvibes

Your children are gorgeous - they looked fab in their MNSSHP costumes! :goodvibes

Your plans sound great (so much more organised than me/us!). Although I doubt I'd manage to get my girls to leave the parks the first full day to go to Paris - they'd never let me hear the end of it :lmao:. Having said that, I had initially looked to book 6 nights (rather than the 5 we are doing) so that we could have a day in Paris as well. But we'll have to put it off to another time/trip - just means we'll have to have a longer trip again! :woohoo:

We've booked for Christmas too - end Nov for a long weekend. Sadly we can't go midweek due to school. This will be our first Christmas season break and I'm so excited about it :yay:.

Look forward to hearing more about your trip at some point :goodvibes.

DH still doesn't want to do Paris as he'd rather just spend the whole time in the parks but funnily enough Dd really wants to see the Eiffel tower so she can take a picture in for show and tell! Bless her

Aw thanks, hopefully I'll get round to a TR this time as I've sussed the photo malarkey!

I'm really hoping to talk DH round to a Christmas trip, he seems keen too! But the best dates school wise (so they miss as little as poss) would mean coming home on Christmas eve and he's not too keen on that. I really want to get a date agreed now so I can have two tickers!! If only for a few days!! :rotfl2:

Your children are adorable, especially like their MNSHHP costumes! :goodvibes

Hope you're having a wonderful time. :wizard: :wizard:
