Updated 5/1/11 because they are running this sale again
If you happen to live in a part of the country that has a Kroger or Kroger affiliate that is holding their Mega Sale event (that is where you buy 10 participating items and get $5 off) here is a way to get your spaghetti for free.
1. Go to www.ronzoni.com and click on coupons. They have 3 different types of pasta where you get $1 off of 2 boxes. Click all the boxes and print the coupons. You can use 2 email addresses per computer so you get 6 coupons.
2. Go to Kroger, pick out 10 boxes of Ronzoni. they are on sale for $1/box and because they are part of the Mega sale you get 10 boxes for $5
3. Hand over 5 coupons for $1 off, bringing the price down to $0
We printed out 6 coupons each for the 2 of us and got 20 boxes, which will last us about 6 months or more. We actually have more computers in the house and could have bought loads more but we're not hoarders or resellers, just people on a budget.
If you happen to be 55 or older you can also get a 5% seniors discount, 50 cents on a $10 order, but they won't give you any cash back. So we bought some freezer bags to make our total purchase $1.12
The only downside of this is that Ronzoni has decided to keep their premium pastas the same price as the regular pastas but they put less in it, 12 to 14.5 ounces instead of their usual 16 ounce box. But free is tough to argue with
