The Ronzoni Smart Taste is part of the promotion in the Lexington stores, at .49 a box. It is not included in the ad, but the signs are up.

That's what happens when there is a deal nowadays. Thank the Internet All you can do is hope they restock before Sunday and keep checking back. They could also extend the sale. Remember, those Ronzoni coupons don't expire until April 14th.

Also, the coupons are good anywhere, not just Kroger. So while you may not get them for free at Kroger you can go to Walmart, have them match the Kroger price of 99 cents/box (they won't match the Megasale price if you buy 10) then use your coupons to get them for 50 cents a box. That's still a pretty good price.

The Mega sales always run for 2 weeks. So the Ronzoni will be on sale until Sat, March 26th(in the Lexington/Louisville area). Plenty of time for the stores to restock those empty shelves.

Kroger is Smith's up our way. The ad shows American Beauty pasta on sale. I have been searching around the 'net but I only see 1 site offering a coupon for AB. I'll have to go to the store and see what is listed as on sale from the shelves.

If you happen to be 55 or older you can also get a 5% seniors discount, 50 cents on a $10 order, but they won't give you any cash back. So we bought some freezer bags to make our total purchase $1.12

Ask at any regiister or the service desk. Where we live Seniors day is on Wednesday and you get 5% off of your bill.

Definitely ask at your store. In my area, Senior Day is the first Wednesday of the month. But you get 10% off, excluding alcohol, tobacco and gift cards.

Thanks, but I found out this is not a national program. The mid-Atlantic states is where the senior reward discounts are most prevelant.

In our store occassionally they offer senior discount coupons at the service desk, but it's not often and it's hit and miss. I thought I was missing something, but it's not available where we live.

I may write to Kroger or speak to our store manager about it. I think's it's wrong that if differs on the time and discount % and even more wrong that all stores don't offer it. I find this quite strange.

The Ronzoni wasn't included in my Kroger ad BUT I went and it WAS part of the mega event! Like another poster, they were 1.19 at my store - so 11.90 for 10 - $5.00 mega event - $5.00 coupons = $1.90 for 10 boxes of pasta! Still a good deal... I'll take it!!

Normally, I prefer to get organic whole wheat pasta from Whole Foods, but I couldn't pass up a deal like this! And we do like the Healthy Harvest stuff too!!

Sorry you don't get a discount but there isn't anything at all strange about it. Kroger isn't in business to feed seniors for less, they are here to make money. A senior discount is something to lure people in who would otherwise go somewhere else. If they aren't offering one in your area there is no incentive to do so. That could be lack of competition, nobody else making a similar offer or their prices are already so good they don't have to lure you in. Rather than complain to Kroger you should see if any other supermarkets offer it and if they do let your Kroger know you are taking your business there and why you are.

Price matching by Walmart works on the same principle. Walmart isn't matching Kroger's price out of some sense of fairness. They match it to keep you out of Kroger. That's how the system works.
