Spent the last hour and a quarter outside in the garden.....weeding. I thought that DH and I were going to be weeding. Turns out....I was mistaken. I was weeding....DH was out supermarket SHOPPING.


















Anyone else see anything wrong with that????




Anyway, turns out DH knew what he was doing. I spent the entire hour and the quarter imagining he was weeds and I just kept yanking them up.....HARD!. I now have a fully weeded garden (if I include the major effort that he and I did two weekends ago).

I can now have the pleasure of feeding the garden with blood and bone, dynamic lifter and organic compost before I start planting vegies.

The bonus? I noticed that my mulberry tree has heaps of mulberries on it, the apple tree is starting to flower and the cherry tree has HEAPS of flowers on it.

Just need to net it all off before the birds get stuck into my beautiful potential fruit!

Dinner was good. I posted on the WFD thread that I didn't go into a food coma, but it will take a while on my PTR for the acutal pics to show up. We each ate one tried and true app, and tasted a new one, tried a new main and dessert.

The funny thing.....we got wine pairings with dinner, and without asking the server brought us this bottle of a late harvest Sauvignon Blanc and poured us all glasses (now normally dessert wines are not included in pairings). I was actually planning on ordering a red dessert wine, but didn't mind the white. So all night he was leaving the bottles for me to take pictures of, but most of the night he took them away later. Now dessert wines are 375ml not 750 like regular wines, after the check was signed, the bottle still remained, so my dad poured another glass for himself. Then he mentioned that when the tip was more than the cost of two bottles of wine, he didn't feel guilty about having more. So he poured some for me (Fran was more than happy to help me finish) and then he poured the rest for himself. We all shared the glass and polished off the bottle of dessert wine!

My parents payed (we alternate each year who pays for the Anniversary Dinner) and my Dad doesn't check the bill so who knows what we were charged, but my Mom's budget was $500 and the pre tip bill was $419 so we were right in line with her budget, so that is good because they are now on one salary! Anyways a good night was had by all!

Wow! If I get my herb garden back I should join that thread. I have a sucky house, but for what it is we have to love it. You seem to have a beautiful house and yard.

The Dream on 12-08-11 to the Bahamas. That will be after our one week trip to WDW staying at the GF. I booked a couple of things but had not confirmed the last few. Every time I try to get back in, the site gives me an error message. If I wait until tomorrow morning, I am afraid I will not get everything I want. The people with the largest booking window already took a lot of things away.
