Part 2
We left DHS and headed back to POR. We have a routine for coming back to the resort. Get off at the main stop, go through the doors into the gift shop, look around a little bit, refill our mugs and then walk back to the room. We decided that we should split a CS meal so we wouldn't be so hungry but we wouldn't ruin our dinner either. We got chicken nuggets, fries and a magic cookie bar. This was really good.
We took our time walking back to the room and of course took some pictures.
The mansions are so pretty!
I love this picture. DH set the timer and had to run around the side of a gazebo to get in the shot.
This was our room.
We rested in the room for a while. We noticed that the room seemed a lot better after coming back from DHS. I think the night before we were just overly tired. Plus, we realized how close we were to our bus stop. We got ready, put on our
MNSSHP shirts and headed to the bus stop. The sky had started to cloud over and I was just praying the rain would hold out until after the party. We took the bus to the Magic Kingdom. From there we got on the monorail and got off at the Polynesian.
Taken from the monorail.
We were a little early for our Kona reservation so where did we go? To the gift shop of course! I found a CD that my DSIL and I had wanted. It was the Magic Kingdom Event Party Music. It has music from MNSSHP and other events. It is a great CD! After making our purchase we headed over to Kona. They werent checking people in just yet so we entertained ourselves by taking pictures. The Poly is beautiful. I love the waterfall.
Finally, they started checking people in and handing out buzzers (I dont know the official name, but I think you know what I mean). We waited at least 25 minutes and watched a lot of groups get seated. Finally, DH went up to make sure our buzzer was working and the lady said it was. Not even a minute later our buzzer went off and a manager (who had not been seating people before us) came to take us to our table. He walked us up to the display of desserts and explained what each one was. He was very nice. We were seated at a table that was right next to another table of two and a table of four. I knew that we would be close but I didnt expect the tables to be that close.

The waitress was nice, but very busy. She said that we could have any of the non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. I promptly ordered a virgin pina colada. DH had a Sprite. I dont know why he didnt get something fancier. My drink was AWESOME!

It came with a huge hunk of pineapple on the side. It was delicious and I had two. We enjoyed the bread with macadamia nut butter. We didnt eat very much of it so we could save room for our main courses. I had the Beef Teriyaki - 10-oz sirloin strip, grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets. - $20.99 (Taken from the menu). DH had Slow-Roasted Prime Rib - Served with mashed potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets. - $21.99. He is not a broccoli person so he got another order of mashed potatoes instead.
They were both fantastic!

They were cooked exactly the way we requested. The sauce was wonderful. I loved the décor of Kona. With the huge windows overlooking the lush plants outside it felt like you were eating in Hawaii. We were too stuffed to eat dessert so we got two chocolate cakes (the Kilauea Torte)to go and we paid our bill. We hopped on the monorail and zipped over to the Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP party.
