It's always an adventure! Join us for our fall break celebration!! Updated 12-9

ahhhhhhh mmaannnnnnnnn,,,,,i would have yelled it at the top of my lungs, but still happy that i could help yo uknow what hte answer was.

:rotfl: I am not shy when it comes to talking in front of a group of kids but put me in a room full of strangers and I clam up! I hope that you are able to win the drawing if you do this attraction.:)

Great update! I wish DHS would get more food options, I always feel like you can't find where the CS are as well.
Thank you! I am not alone! I feel like 1.I can't find the CS places. 2. There isn't anything really special about them.:confused3 3.I can find better CS at my resort food court. I hope that Disney changes this.

More random pictures from DHS.

they did not offer them to us last trip, i dont know if they do that all the time or not, because if you look in the gift shop when you leave the attraction area, they have the ones that the CMs draw for sale i nthere...you might have just gotten lucky that they were offereing them, unless they changed it...i hope they did, i will win it from them this year.

I have to sub real quick to this and read more this afternoon - great report so far!

Well just in case they are, the second question they asked was: what are the names of Daisy Duck's neices? The answer (I had no clue) April, May and June.

:welcome: Thanks for reading!

Come on, you could have yelled it out!! :woohoo:

Sounds great! I can't wait to read more. (Actually, I can't wait to hear more in person as we shop this weekend! ;) )

I love the pictures. We need to take more of them next time. Actually, I need to have my own camera by the time we go in 2010 so that I can take a few!:rotfl:

I know! It isn't like I would see any of those people again. Maybe next time I will be braver!;) It helped so much having two cameras. Plus, we got two different points of view. We are looking forward to seeing you guys!:woohoo:

Thanks for sticking with me! I am working on my next update. Hopefully, tomorrow I will have it up. :goodvibes

Part 2

We left DHS and headed back to POR. We have a routine for coming back to the resort. Get off at the main stop, go through the doors into the gift shop, look around a little bit, refill our mugs and then walk back to the room. We decided that we should split a CS meal so we wouldn't be so hungry but we wouldn't ruin our dinner either. We got chicken nuggets, fries and a magic cookie bar. This was really good.

We took our time walking back to the room and of course took some pictures.

The mansions are so pretty!

I love this picture. DH set the timer and had to run around the side of a gazebo to get in the shot.

This was our room.

We rested in the room for a while. We noticed that the room seemed a lot better after coming back from DHS. I think the night before we were just overly tired. Plus, we realized how close we were to our bus stop. We got ready, put on our MNSSHP shirts and headed to the bus stop. The sky had started to cloud over and I was just praying the rain would hold out until after the party. We took the bus to the Magic Kingdom. From there we got on the monorail and got off at the Polynesian.

Taken from the monorail.

We were a little early for our Kona reservation so where did we go? To the gift shop of course! I found a CD that my DSIL and I had wanted. It was the Magic Kingdom Event Party Music. It has music from MNSSHP and other events. It is a great CD! After making our purchase we headed over to Kona. They weren’t checking people in just yet so we entertained ourselves by taking pictures. The Poly is beautiful. I love the waterfall.

Finally, they started checking people in and handing out buzzers (I don’t know the official name, but I think you know what I mean). We waited at least 25 minutes and watched a lot of groups get seated. Finally, DH went up to make sure our “buzzer” was working and the lady said it was. Not even a minute later our “buzzer” went off and a manager (who had not been seating people before us) came to take us to our table. He walked us up to the display of desserts and explained what each one was. He was very nice. We were seated at a table that was right next to another table of two and a table of four. I knew that we would be close but I didn’t expect the tables to be that close. :crowded: The waitress was nice, but very busy. She said that we could have any of the non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. I promptly ordered a virgin pina colada. DH had a Sprite. I don’t know why he didn’t get something fancier. My drink was AWESOME! :thumbsup2 It came with a huge hunk of pineapple on the side. It was delicious and I had two. We enjoyed the bread with macadamia nut butter. We didn’t eat very much of it so we could save room for our main courses. I had the Beef Teriyaki - 10-oz sirloin strip, grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets. - $20.99 (Taken from the menu). DH had Slow-Roasted Prime Rib - Served with mashed potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets. - $21.99. He is not a broccoli person so he got another order of mashed potatoes instead.

They were both fantastic! :) They were cooked exactly the way we requested. The sauce was wonderful. I loved the décor of Kona. With the huge windows overlooking the lush plants outside it felt like you were eating in Hawaii. We were too stuffed to eat dessert so we got two chocolate cakes (the Kilauea Torte)to go and we paid our bill. We hopped on the monorail and zipped over to the Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP party.

It was very good. There are a lot of advantages to doing CS. One of my favorites is Columbia Harbor House at MK. We always eat upstairs.

No, that is Pinnochio's Village Haus. We have eaten there also and it is good.:) It is really fun to wave to the boats as they take off. The food was good. We were able to get shakes that came in plastic cups that you can keep. (I'm not sure if they still have those or not). The Figaro Fries are suppose to be excellent.

Another fantastic CS is Wolfgang Puck's Express at Downtown Disney. Really Good!:thumbsup2

thanks for the info

we will check it out

I want to try Kona - probably needs to wait for an "adults only" trip, though.

I do love the Poly, though - I'd love to stay there as an adult (I didn't really appreciate it as a kid, though I did enjoy it). Someday!! Your report is looking good - can't wait to see/hear about MNSSHP! :goodvibes

We hopped off the monorail and we arrived to throngs of people leaving MK.:cool1: There were tons of cast members directing people into the correct lines. We got our wrist bands and we were in. The atmosphere was exciting!

I love the pumpkin Mickey’s. Actually, I love all of the fall decorations in general. We walked along Main Street just taking everything in. I loved seeing all of the people leaving!

The CM’s had the cutest Halloween outfits! We took some photopass pictures and headed toward Adventureland.

DSC00698.jpg

We walked right on POTC.
DSC00700.jpg

I love that ride! We investigated the MNSSHP pins at the gift shop. They had two different kinds so we decided to go ahead and get them there. We saw a treat stop with no lines so we walked through.
DSC00701.jpg

I loved seeing all of the different Halloween costumes. There were some very creative ideas. We went through Frontierland. At some point I saw Cinderella’s pumpkin. The line was huge so we decided to wait and come back later. I would later regret not waiting in line then. We went on IASW. The last time I rode this in 2007 there was a puppet with one eye. It was kind of creepy. Luckily, I checked and they had fixed it. DH called his DB and let him “ride” with us. We checked out the wait time for Peter Pan but it was really long.

We walked through Fantasyland and we saw Snow White and all 7 Dwarfs. That line was also huge. It was really cool to see them all together. We went to Toontown and checked out Minnie and Mickey’s Halloween outfits. We went on Buzz, I love that ride but I have no idea how to get a good score. It was still fun though. We went on TTA (my first time) and it was fun.
DSC00713.jpg

It is a good place to sit down and rest for a little bit. It was while we were on TTA that I noticed people pulling out their ponchos. When we got off it had stopped raining hard but the ground was wet. We got out our ponchos just in case. We walked towards Main Street. We found a good viewing spot to watch Hallowishes. It was right by the statue of Roy and Minnie. As we were waiting for the fireworks I felt some raindrops.
DSC00703.jpg

Luckily, the rain held out while we watched the show. The fireworks were fantastic. The music was awesome. I love listening to the soundtrack. It seemed like they lasted a really long time. After the show, we got something to drink and we walked to Frontierland to find a good spot for the parade. I really wanted to see the parade I had heard such good things about. We found a bench near the Hall of Presidents. It was then that the rain decided that it could not hold out any longer.

It started sprinkling and then it poured. It wasn’t a cold rain, we had our ponchos and a bench so we decided to stay put. I felt bad for the CM’s in their cute Halloween outfits that were working the parade route. It is too bad they don’t get to have special rain jackets or something. They were soaked! The headless horseman did not ride because of the rain. I heard the music and the parade started. I really enjoyed it! The characters were really cute and the performers are so talented. Unfortunately, I have no pictures from the parade.

It was just raining too much to have my camera out. After the parade left we walked towards Main Street. We cut through the stores and we caught the end of the parade. We decided to hang out a little to let most of the parade crowd pass. It was during this time that I saw a boy who was lost. He was with a Disney security guard and two Disney managers. I really felt for him, he looked so scared. I am sure that he eventually met up with his family. We eventually made our way to the bus stop and back to our hotel room. It was another late night for us. I think we made it to bed around 1:30. We had a great first day!
