Happy Friday!
I am so glad the weekend is here! I have a lot of things I need to get done before we leave including report cards. Tonight DH and I are going to pick out our pumpkins for our harvest party. I think while I am out I am going to get a few things for the trip. I need another memory card for my camera. I also need to stop by the travel size aisle. What is it with travel sizes that makes them so fun to buy? I love it! Oh, and I need to get Sleeping Beauty to add to my Disney collection. Which I always say is to ensure that my future children can enjoy these movies in case they are in the "Disney Vault", but honestly who am I kidding here?! Other things I need to do before we leave:
1.Add more music and podcasts to my Ipod
2.Make index cards
3.Organize clothes and make sure we have everything
4.Get a haircut
5.Put trading pins on my lanyard
6.Finish MNSSHP shirts

I am big on making lists. I guess that is my update for today. I will post pictures of our harvest party tomorrow. Including our Disney pumpkins, so stay tuned!:

We had our pumpkin carving party. I don't have the pictures uploaded yet (I will try to do that today). I chose to do Cinderella's castle. It looked like it would be pretty lit up, and it was listed as "easy" . Well, I should have looked at the picture more carefully because it was not easy. It turned out kind of rough . DH did a classic Mickey head and my cousin's wife did a vampire Mickey that turned out nice. Everyone else did their own thing. The Downtown Disney Chocolate Chip cookies went over well. It was strange to carve pumpkins in October on such a warm day. Last year, we were wearing jackets and it was chilly. Yesterday, it got into the 80's. It was nice but it didn't feel like fall. Last night, while watching Ironman with DH I made our index cards for each day with ADR numbers and times. So, that is one thing I can cross off my list.

I used a Michael's 50% off coupon and I copied them so I can use them over again (I am cheap like that ). They were tough! Hopefully, I can get the pictures up soon!

Happy Wednesday!!

I can finally play "This time next week I will be...". I will be waiting to get on my flight. The pumpkin pics are not up yet. However, I have a good reason: report cards. They have been taking up a lot of my time lately. DH has been working on our shirts. I have a suitcase open and I am gradually making a pile of things that I want to pack. I am also debating about requesting a room. I have never requested a certain section before. I was thinking about faxing a room request to make sure we aren't too far away from everything. I know for sure that we want to be in the mansion sections. I just listened to Corey and Julie's review of POR on the podcast (I think it was from March). It got me really excited to go back. They liked all the same things about it that my DH and I do. Julie also did a review of the gift shop and that was cool to listen to also.

I feel your pain on report cards - not this time, maybe, but I know what you're talking about! The paperwork can kill you, huh? At least they're about done.

Are you asking for the same rooms you've had before? I know you've been in a simliar area on each of the other trip. I think you should do whatever you want to do - it's your vacation!! I happen to think that where your room is in a resort is a big deal. Who wants to have to walk a long time just to get to the pool or the food court? We have always paid for a preferred room - it's worth it, IMO.

Well, good luck getting your report cards done! You can count down in days now!!!

Thank you! I am also going to be on the look out the day after Halloween to see if I can snag some on clearance. I am so excited! Report Cards are done! Now I just have parent/teacher conferences and then I am Disney bound!

Are you asking for the same rooms you've had before? I know you've been in a simliar area on each of the other trip. I think you should do whatever you want to do - it's your vacation!! I happen to think that where your room is in a resort is a big deal. Who wants to have to walk a long time just to get to the pool or the food court? We have always paid for a preferred room - it's worth it, IMO.

It is really strange that all three times we have stayed at POR we have been placed in Acadian House. It isn't a bad location but it isn't that close. I am thinking that I might just take my chances. When we go in 2010 I will pay for preferred. Hopefully, we can all be close by each other.

Now I know that Florida weather can change quickly and I am still 4 days away but, I am worried that MNSSHP will be rainy. As long as it isn't rained out, we will pull on our ponchos and just go with it. Today we went shopping and I picked up a few last minute items. DH got the shirts done. I think he did a nice job. Tomorrow I am going to pack and get things organized. I am getting excited!

The weather will be fine!! We were sandwiched in between two of the hurricanes while we were down there and it was gorgeous. It rained more during the time I went in July! You are in Disney, your will be poncho chic.

Your pumpkins turned out great!! I am going to have to get some Disney patterns for next year. I dont' have th energy to do it for this one.

Thank you for the reassurance! I will wear my poncho proudly! I noticed that Michael's has started to mark down all of their Halloween stuff. Maybe you can find some cheap patterns.
