All caught up! I had to laugh, I "checked in" twice - but then you "welcomed" be twice.

It will be interesting to see how DTD turns out. I wonder how long the construction will take

Good try on the tree pics. I like how the Angel on the top of the tree turned out - not to shabby!

Oops I usually go back and check if I think it is a first post but I guess as always I was in a rush again....

I am hoping all the construction really perks up the area.

It's great to see some construction going on at DTD. I hope they do that thang up right. I hate that I never got to see the Adventurer's Club...I know that would've been right up my alley.

I never got to see the adventurer's club either. SPOILER However I did get a piece of it later at the special show in DHS.

I hope DTD evolves into something great and easily navigated. Easier parking too would be a plus.

I like the Norway storyteller too. Hope to see more of them at Thanksgiving this year.

Good pictures of the Chinese soldiers. Need to look more at all their expressions.

Norway is one I always try to catch. So entertaining and the story never gets old.

I have heard the Chinese soldiers all have different expressions. Some look similar but I can see where they have some unique facial features.

Saturday Dec 28th
Today was officially check in day. I checked out of my off site - good for the night free on points hotel. I packed up everything and headed to the Beach Club.
Since I guessed the room would not be ready I parked the car and went by the DVC pool to the lobby.

This may not look like much but a duck just came in for a landing. But where is the duck??Underwater???



And the turtle that come around when you get close to the rail. They are just waiting for a handout.









I walked to the lobby like I have in the past. Not many checking in and nobody at the desk. I talk to the CM and he informs me that they are now checking in people at the villas. Really? Where ? There is a single DVC computer. He tells me to wait and someone will come get me. I know the way and can be there quicker than they can summon somebody. Not to mention I could have just come that way from the parking lot had I known. Good thing the car wasn't temporarily parked up front.

So I was brought to the one DVC computer and wow the CM is helping someone. So no waiting at the front desk but I now have to wait at the DVC computer when I did online check in and just need them to verify things and not forget to text me and give the packet.

This time it was short so soon I was up and yes the room was not ready, and I verified my phone number and explained how In Oct. I did not receive a text and wanted to be sure they had my information. She wrote it down and checked. Yup number verified and now they send you a test text for you to verify. I did respond yes to their text. Then I was off with magical thoughts of being notified as I have been in the past. Smooth Sailing right?

This process took about 45min looking at time stamps. I was in no rush- it is the first day and my goal had nothing to do with rope drop for that day. And relatively speaking THAT wait was short....

That probably is from stepping on property to stepping into IG. My time in front of a CM was probably 10 min, but I had to wait at the front desk for the "escort" like I didn't know the way, and then for the CM to finish with the person in front of me. It may have also included a potty stop.

The BC decorations are fun and really fit the theme of the resort.

Now that was service Pat Ask and I received !! Doesn't seem to work with Marv though!!! Wher is that man ????? Great pix of the decorations and the ducks !! I can't resist Duck pix either and now you have me taking garbage can pix too !! So now Carol can add cans to animal backsides and food !!

By 9 am I was finally in EPCOT ( Park opened at 8) , through the back entrance.



I could see the DTD characters in flight balloon.



Hard to believe it was Dec 28th



It was so empty.







I love the little holiday touches as you enter France.



I made my way to the Bakery.







Another storyteller- This year some write up said they stories would be a bit different – This was one of them. So I wanted to catch it again to see.






















Took a tour of the bakery and then picked up a goodie to eat. Maybe a strawberry tart? No Pictures so I guess I was hungry or just was not balancing the food and the camera well because I didn’t eat inside. It was one of the few nicer days so I was going to eat outside.

I picked a dry spot since the benches were all wet by the Entrance to Chefs de France.

I was a bit shocked that the park was open but this area clearly had not been cleaned up the night before.

I even gave you seconds and thirds. I think we all rub off on each other.

I am not sure if it was just during the busy time or something they have moved permanently. They really need to expand that area if they are going to do it right.....

You walk by and the turtles come a swimming. It was almost like I was teasing them.

I do not remember the bridge to France having the peppermint decorations. It was a nice touch. Not even sure about the ornaments by the fountain.

I was really bothered by the trash. There were a couple of un-Disney like moments there.
