It's all smooth sailing from here... right? ALL DONE AND NEW TR LINK UP

I could go for a EoS right now. That sounds delicious!!!

That Grampa in the santa goofy hat is too cute!

I think I actually looked at the website yesterday to see how far I would have to drive to get one. Pretty Far. Maryland would be the closest I guess. :sad2:

I saw lots of holiday spirit this trip. ::yes::

Hi Pat! Jumping on board!pirate:

:welcome: Matey pirate:

Earl's is a perfect way to really kick off the trip!

That man in the Santa Goofy hat is awesome.

Yay, Epcot!

Always good for a good meal. Quick ( usually ) cheap and easy- that how I like my sandwiches. :rotfl2:

I thought he wore it well. :santa:

A little bit of EPCOT.

I left DTD and went to check in- it is nice having a free room due to reward points. All checked in and bare essentials unloaded, I grabbed my Santa hat with glow with the show ears and headed off.

So if you could not tell where Goofy and Donald were I went here.

Since I often stay at Beach club, I walk in the back entrance. This was different, taking the car and parking.

I will warn you with my shoulder in the state it was, 6 week out from surgery, I found that holding the camera up for pictures was hard since the shutter is on the right the side. I played around with upside down and where I could I rested it but never got around to bringing the tripod in, even though I may have even packed it. :headache:

My first shot….

I tried a few more times and finally got one where I could tell it was a tree. :lmao:

Walked past Norway and made a note of one of my favorite storytellers.

I had no FP+ for this bonus day of the trip, good thing since my earlier traffic jam put me later than I would have thought.

Being on that side I decided to watch the Chinese acrobats. They were moved inside the theater area. No pictures but just watching everyone jockey for the benches was amusing. Watching people creep up to see, watching a woman just basically tell people on a bench that she had someone who had to sit down. She bring over an elderly man so okay, I get that and the people there had NO problem but then she tries to crowd out everyone else with other people who could stand or even sit just a little further away.
Then there was the person who had to squeeze in the middle of the row of benches, causing someone to slide down more and end up ….. in between benches. That’s not comfortable.

No pictures of the performance since I was second or even third row. They performed well, but overall the performance itself was rather ---ordinary.
I had watched the movie recently- so I did not do it this time but instead went to look at the soldiers.
I tried to find some of the more unusual expressions.

Happy

Angry? Or Surprised?

Him again from another angle

This one is up to no good…

If I walked back I could catch the last Julenissen so I wandered back. I had enough time to look in the case at Kringla. These are on the floor in there.

Finally it was time, there was some jockeying for position as the line for Akershus was right in front of the stage for the storytellers.

Julenissen was up to his old tricks again.

She looks so serious.

After they were done, It was 9pm. IllumiNations was not until 10:30 tonight.

I was not going to make it. With a short drive back to my off site room, I figured it was best to just go now.

I stopped in the bathroom by the Oydessy. I was on a tile kick so I took a picture.

I went outside and on the way out saw a different perspective on the EPCOT ball.

Figures the monorail comes by …

This one is better

Using my super zoom I tried to get another picture of the tree.

Let’s see if I can…..

Let me back it up a bit.

With that I walked out the front for the drive back off property to my room for the night.

Holding a camera up all day with a good shoulder can be hard, I can't imagine how hard it would be with a bad shoulder!
Oh dear, sounds like quite the to do over the benches in China. Love the pics of the soldiers' expressions!
I've never seen the story tellers in Norway, that sounds so nice.

Hi Pat! I think I'm all caught up now.

Love me some EoS. And it's always interesting to see what's going on with new construction.

Looks like a nice night at Epcot. I enjoy seeing all of the special holiday items vicariously through the DIS-peeps.:thumbsup2

I guess I thought about it a bit, then forgot, then as I was holding my arm up and getting blurry shots I realized Ruh Roh - This may be a bit harder than I thought. A little maneuvering and a little patience ( yeah I don't have a lot of that :lmao:) and I was able to compensate.

The benches in the pavilion were actually humorous to watch , since it was going on around me and not to me. :lmao:

The storyteller in Norway is by far my favorite one. Very well done and interactive not to mention funny.

Whoo hoo - Hope things are starting to hit a groove.

Oh DTD is a mess right now but you have to document the changes... :rotfl:

Hopefully someday you get to go during the holidays. Really is a special time.

Nothing better than Epcot at night. :thumbsup2

Epcot at night during the holidays is just beautiful. I love seeing how each country decorates just a bit different to suit that country. ::yes::

thanks for sacrificing your shoulder to take pictures for us.

your night pics dont look that bad, it is usually hard to take those pics and get anything not blurry.

I would love to see the Storytellers some day!

Epcot looks so pretty at night with all the lights. I can't wait to get back there...of course I won't get to see christmas decor, but at least the flower and garden festival will be going on.

I enjoyed the evening walk through Epcot on this Saturday morning. :thumbsup2

I wanted Brandi to see some of the story tellers, but I don't think the group ended up seeing any. Jill said they did stand at the back of the theater for a few minutes to hear and see a little bit of Candlelight Processional, though, so I am glad she got to experience a little of that.

I think the tomb warriors will be a good subject one of these days when one of the girls has to do some kind of Social Studies school project/display. It will be a way to sneak a little Disney connection in. ;)

We are starting to see a break in our cold weather here. We had a couple of nice days, but the warmth brought severe storms. As bad as they can be, I'll still take the storms over the cold. ::yes::

Pat - I know I can always come to you for a good bathroom picture! :lmao:

Ugh - I can just imagine how hard it was taking pictures as you were recovering from shoulder surgery. It makes me hurt just thinking about it.

I had the same experience as the Chinese acrobats. People just kept moving in and jockeying for position. It was comical an distracting all at the same time. So I, too, enjoyed just watching and chatting with our new found friends from New Smyrna beach.

Loved the update and the fact you were able to get one picture that looks like a tree! :rotfl:

:lmao: Happy to do it. It was physical therapy for me- yeah that's it.

The first few were rough. I thought I was going to have a real problem but I guess once I got used to the positioning again it was better. I probably just took more "bad" ones this trip. :lmao:

The storytellers are a great addition during the holiday season. All are informative but some are really entertaining and a couple are not to be missed.

Check out the F & G at night- I have heard of " night gardens" where they light everything up.

I had to get the couple I wanted to see in quickly since they go away first. :)

I heard a couple were featured as "different" but the French storyteller was exactly the same so maybe they are just trying to encourage more to visit them. :confused3

There are so many cool Disney school projects that can be done. Today I went to a Home/garden show and they had the hydroponics display and even the people walking though behind me remarked it was like Disney. :goodvibes

It has been beautiful the last couple of days. I look forward to these days and agree the crazy stormy weather might be worth putting up with for a little warmth. :scratchin Heard it got pretty bad by you. The storm pretty much zipped by us with no serious damage. Hope you had no damage.

I can imagine it must have been uncomfortable and painful trying to hold and work the camera such a short time after surgery. And I must say not bad considering.

We missed the Norway storyteller again; this was the one I was most looking forward to.

I don't think we have ever seen the Chinese acrobats.

Hi Pat !! I loved the Story Tellers in Norway to !!! As I recall sevral years ago or was it more recent . Marv had a pix with those 2 and he held a wooden spoon!!!:rotfl2:I think I saw all of the "Tellers" in part if not the whole spiel !!
Poor you with the camera and your bad arm , you could have used some help with picture taking !!!:goodvibes

It was uncomfortable at first but I guess I figured something out. Probably making sure I just didn't stay in on position too long.

Norway is always a hoot and I have had that "Ingrid" several times.

The Chinese acrobats used to be right by the entrance but recently they have been inside near the theater entrance.

Yes Marv did have his picture taken with that same Ingrid and his spoon. :rotfl2:

I have had the same Ingrid a few times now.

Yeah Poor me with the camera. I was able to figure out a way to make sure I had the pictures I wanted. Just making sure I didn't stay with my arm up too long or having it supported helped.

Almost forgot , there is an EOS in Las Vegas , if you are going there anytime ??

I will be in Vegas this fall. Right after my no leave from work ends I have that annual conference. I will be at Bally's again so now I know where the Earl's is.

All caught up! I had to laugh, I "checked in" twice - but then you "welcomed" be twice. :lmao:

It will be interesting to see how DTD turns out. I wonder how long the construction will take:confused3

Good try on the tree pics.:thumbsup2 I like how the Angel on the top of the tree turned out - not to shabby!

It's great to see some construction going on at DTD. I hope they do that thang up right. I hate that I never got to see the Adventurer's Club...I know that would've been right up my alley.

I like the Norway storyteller too. Hope to see more of them at Thanksgiving this year.

Good pictures of the Chinese soldiers. Need to look more at all their expressions.

Like your tile pictures!
