It's ALL about the FOOD! An October 2012 PTR! - Trip Report Started.

That dessert looks so yummy!

Good plan on trying to see rope drop. :)

I hope to be able to see rope drop our first morning, but not sure what time we should be there. Park opens at nine, and I don't want to drag Dillon out of bed TOO early, but I am thinking we should be there no later than 8:30. Hopefully!

That dessert was a combination of almost all the Citrico's Desserts as well as V&A's Desserts! It was awesome!

Yeah 8:30 is probably a good time to aim for.. I honestly have no idea though!

I love having a boat as a transportation option! Something about 'hopping on a boat' to get where you're going screams vacation to me :)

Every time I read about Citrico's, I think I need to eat there. But when I read the menu, it doesn't appeal to me so much. What's their best dish?

So... We honestly loved all of our Dishes... (I have them in my Dining Review from 2009). The Gateu of Crab appetizer was just delicious. I don't remember my Veal dish very much as I was really stuffed up from a cold at that time. The entree I had the second time we went was a Chicken dish and it was simply delicious! It was more simple but perfectly cooked and very tasty.

I will be honest though... the current menu does not appeal to me as much as the one we had... There is still 6 months left for them to have different options though!

I was wondering how they were connected! We took the boat to/from there when we went to Artist Point so I never saw the front! Do you know if we will check in in the Hotel or is there a check-in inside the Villas?

You'll check-in at the hotel and they'll point you in the right direction. If I remember correctly, the exit by the hotel gift shop is the one you'll use to get to the villas. You walk outside and the breezeway is straight ahead. If you make a right out of the exit, the path will take you to the bus stops. Make sure you rub Humphrey the Bear's nose on the totem pole for an extra magical vacation! :)

And that dessert platter is to die for, OMG!

Thanks so much for the info on how to Check-In!

Yeah! The dessert platter was AMAZING! It's not the first time we have received desserts on a platter. One of the restaurants we go to here used to give us a sampler platter. WE used to call it our dessert Skateboard as it was that shape and HUGE! That was probably the first and only one for WDW though!!

One word: YUM.

Day 13, Wednesday October 24th

Our Final Park Day :sad2:

Unless by some Miracle I have convinced my hubby that we need to get him an AP and return to WDW the following year for F&W fest this will indeed be our final park day even though we will be in the World for 2 more days!

Since it is the final daqy it will probably be pretty busy.

I am going to start with us at Animal Kingdom. Unless we have hopped over there on another day this will only be our second time entering this park.

I don't have Breakfast scheduled so we will just grab something either from Wilderness Lodge or a CS in the park.

I would like to be there for Rope Drop so we can ride the Safari in the early morning and then hopefully catch a ride on EE! After those two we will decide what we still need to do there. Hopefully we will have caught both shows the other day and we can just relax and enjoy the ambiance of the park and repeat one of them if we wish.

Lunch will be an ADR at Tusker House. The Lunch choices look yummy to me so I am hoping they really are!

After lunch we will leisurly enjoy as much as we want to at AK and then head out. Depending on the time we will either head to dinner or to relax at the resort for a bit.

Dinner that night will be the long awaited 'Ohana!

After 'Ohana we will be heading to MK! We won't have seen Wishes yet and I NEED to see Wishes!!

We will head into MK and stake a place out for the Electrical Parade and for Wishes. After that our time in the Parks will be complete unless we have any energy left in which case we can head to Epcot for EMH but I am guessing we will be pretty exhausted at that point!

I take it Liberty Tree Tavern is a good place to eat if you are returning? We have a lunch booked there for our first day.

That would be cool to get in to see another Pastry Chef!

OK , I am sorry to highjack the thread :goodvibes , DisneyStitch626 , I love the handle and love the banner !!!!!!!!

Now , we will be there in October , I have never done F&W , plz tell me what sweet Sunday's are ?

Hi Paula!! I didn't know you had this until today. I will go back and read when I can.

Hey!, just wanted to say I'm here! Great itinerary! I will read it in more detail soon, so hard to get away for a little while on my own lol. Aria is napping but she takes like 20 minute naps so I rarely get any time to myself. Anyway I look forward to hearing about the food & wine stuff you'll partake in, since we prob won't be doing any of it.

Thanks for stopping back in! I imagine your days are SO busy with your little one!

I will definitely be sharing all the details of the special events... At least those that I remember... A lot of the events come with wine and that might just impair my memory even more than it already is!

Well the day has come... This will be the last full day at Walt Disney World!

I am sad to say that we will not be going to any parks this day though...

I plan on SLEEPING in... Breakfast will be at the Grand Floridian Cafe somewhere around 10am. (The latest time that is still breakfast!)

From there we will have a leisurely day around the resorts and possibly Downtown Disney.

Dinner is the LONG AWAITED Victoria & Albert's! I am going to book the regular dining room. As much as I would love to try for the Chef's table or even the Queen Victoria Room I think this trip will already be a budget buster so will stick with the Regular Room and that way if hubby concedes to another trip there is room for upgrade!

A simple hopefully relaxing day with a dinner that will hopefully be the capstone to a wonderful trip!

Last full days always make me sad :( That's when I start giving people just arriving on DME the stink eye!

Lol! I think after 2 weeks we will be okay with leaving.. It's going to be hard for me as not only will I be leaving WDW but will be heading back to CA while my hubby returns to CO. :sad2:

Oh, I think dinner at V&A's would be a wonderful way to end your trip!

I think/hope so too!!

Sounds like a great last full day...minus the not going into the parks part. But I know this trip is more about the food, so I am sure it will be great anyways!
