It's ALL about the FOOD! An October 2012 PTR! - Trip Report Started.

Hugs, sweetie. I'm sorry you're feeling down and that this is such a rough time for you. I don't know what I'd do in your shoes... but I'm sure you'll find a solution.

ADR's in T-minus 14 hours!!!

I've made some schedule adjustments to when I first posted my daily plans. Took out The Wave and HDDR.. the latter NOT by choice!!

Added Via Nappoli!!

Once I have my ADR's made I'll post what I was able to get! I won't be able to do my whole trip as I can only do the first 11 days tomorrow.

I'm sure I will be tweaking some things as time goes by!

I am glad that you have a better frame of mind!

Looking forward to seeingg your ADRs!

As for saving money on the Disney trip, or not going at all, I'm sorry youre so depressed about the money for it - I think your idea for compressing it into a week would be a great compromise. If the trip means you won't be able to move to CO until later idk if it's worth it - at least not the WHOLE trip. But a compromise could definitely work. That's just my opinion. :goodvibes I think you'd be a lot happier with your husband in your new house vs an extra week at Disney.

So did you get everything???

So far so good. A few are not the exact times I wanted but I will keep trying!

I am glad that you have a better frame of mind!

My frame of mind unfortunately changes daily. Hopefully it will be much better after I spend time with my hubby and we can discuss some things that are troubling me.

Looking forward to seeingg your ADRs!

I will post my ADR's shortly!

Technically I already have the money saved for this trip. And it would not require my spending a whole lot more time in CA to go the full 2 weeks. After all expenses and everything its probably only another month or less separated. Since park tickets are not that more expensive for a few more days, airfare would be the same regardless. I would still have most of the F&W events so its really only a few more days for food and the hotel. I think I just talked myself into sticking with the 2 weeks lol.

I really want to have most of our monthly bills paid off or reduced before moving to CO. This means paying extra every month on everything. I would really like to only have our Mortgage and the household expenses and maybe one student loan left. (we have 4 student loan accounts between the 2 of us.) In order to get my husbands new truck paid off though will take a huge undertaking and lots of hours!!

It's so hard because I want us to try new places but yet I feel like I booked a lot of the same from last trip.

Oh well.. I just hope all the choices are as good as I hope!!

So I did something really crazy this morning...

I called V&A's to make our reservation for our last night in WDW. October 25th. I called when I got off of work. 7:30am my time and 10:30am WDW time. I planned to just book the regular dining room as that is where the TIW card is accepted. However, when she asked me which experience I would like, Regular dining Room, Queen Victoria Room, or Chef's Table I lost it! I'd originally wanted the Chef's Table but then figured it wouldn't be available and I wasn't going to try for it but when she offered I was like... Oh... Why Not! At first I was like. You're serious... the Chef's Table is available?!?! I mean how could it not be meant to be that is was still available for me?!?!

So... I may cancel the Chef's Table but for now that is where we are booked! Now... What can I give up to afford it?!?!

Glad to hear you got all the ADRs you wanted!

V&A Chef's Table...that is pretty awesome! I wont be eating there for a long time. My kids would disown DH & I as parents if we ever went to WDW w/o them :rotfl:

The V&A's Chef Table does sound pretty awesome. I am just concerned that we should do regular dining room and then have something to look forward to on another trip with the chef's table...

You could always put your children in one of the kid's centers at the resort and then have a date night while there!!

V&A in general sounds amazing! Chef's Table even more so. I cannot wait to read about your trip- you are going to write a TR, right? :rolleyes1

I was simply SHOCKED that the Chef's Table was available. I mean I know it was my 180+10 today to book for that date but I still thought for sure it would be booked already. I guess that is the advantage to a long trip I was able to book so far ahead on the reservations. Now.. I need to look up the cost of this dinner so I can budget!!! (How many more extra shifts do I need to pay for it?!?!)

Oh yes... there will definitely be a TR!! I really regret not writing one about our '09 trip. I had full intentions to do so but was so depressed about not being able to go back to disney I couldn't write it. This time I at least know that I will go back at sometime and it is better to have the trip documented than to rely on my memory.. (which is not so good!) Plus it will give me something to do in the months following the trip since I will still be living in a different state from my hubby.

I'm just debating whether to do a Dining Report and a Trip Report or to combine them all in one! I know I like to read Dining Reviews so I may do it all in the TR and then copy and past the Dining portions to a Dining Review Report. We shall see!!

You got some great ADR's!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm sorry that the trip had been causing you to be overwhelmed - it sounds like you have it worked out well though! The most important thing is for you to be happy and comfortable with your trip - you're going to Disney after all! :thumbsup2

I am happy with our ADR's!! There were a few more I wanted (either Mama Melrose or Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Chefs de France and Le Cellier, and possible Bluezoo) but there just isn't room in the schedule... If i wasn't planning F&W events than they would fit but I think the F&W events will make it more fun and interesting!

I'm not overwhelmed by the trip. I'm overwhelmed with some background stuff happening in my life that I can't discuss here... I've just decided that it is what it is and I am planning this Disney Trip regardless of it all! As long as I can pay for it I am good!!

(I've just recently worked 3 shifts at Double time with 2 more coming up this weekend so that really helps with the $$$)

I'm sorry there's so much going on, but so happy you have a trip to plan to give you something to look forward to!

Okay, how have I not seen this one before? It took the Facebook group to lead me here...:confused3
Now I have to back track MANY MANY pages to read!!! :surfweb:

I'm here to stay now, though!!::yes::
