It's ALL about the FOOD! An October 2012 PTR! - Trip Report Started.

I'm sorry there's so much going on, but so happy you have a trip to plan to give you something to look forward to!

This trip is seriously a blessing! I'm sure my husband realized that when he said I could plan it!!

Okay, how have I not seen this one before? It took the Facebook group to lead me here...:confused3
Now I have to back track MANY MANY pages to read!!! :surfweb:

I'm here to stay now, though!!::yes::

Welcome!! I have links on the second post to help you out!! (I need to update them but it will get you through some of it a little easier!)

:goodvibesYAY for ADRs!! They sound super yummy!:)
V&A is something I would love to try some day!
I hope you have a great week!

Chef's Table...how exciting! I hope you can make it work because I'm sure it would be an amazing experience. We've always wanted to eat at V&A, but it just hasn't happened yet. Maybe when we celebrate a big anniversary someday.

ADRs can be so overwhelming! I'm making ours this week, and I'm freaking out! :scared1:

Thanks! Is it October yet so I can enjoy those meals!!!

This week should be pretty good! I leave Saturday to see my hubby!!! I have lots to get done before then!

I am sure it would be awesome! The price is just :scared1::scared1: Since the TiW card discount can't be used for the Chef's Table it is a lot more than the regular dining room. But It's a once in a lifetime opportunity so hopefully I can work some OT and make it work.

I didn't have any trouble making my ADR's. I was able to get most of them exactly when I wanted them. The only glitch I had was not able to make them online. Calling them meant only giving my CC info once though so that was nice!

Sounds like you guys are going to have an awesome time :thumbsup2 :goodvibes Still trying to get over the fact that your husband doesn't really like WDW :rotfl: :scared: :sad2:

He enjoys his time while we are there but he just has a hard time getting over the price. and since at WDW they display the prices over every gate I can't hide them! At DL the prices are only above the ticket booths! Much easier to hide from people you don't want to have the price smack them in the head every time they walk into the parks!

Less than 2 days till I see my hubby!!!!!

This means that I will most likely not be posting much if at all while I am in CO and then in Vegas!

This time on Saturday I will just be arriving home from work finalizing my packing and then heading to the airport.

We decided to spend the night in Denver and have brunch there on Sunday before we drive back to our place. I found this place that has an amazing sounding brunch and has had my hubby salivating ever since!

Tomorrow I am getting my hair done. I am unsure if I should get it cut short again or leave it kinda longer? I know I want a different color so we will see how that comes out!

Yay on getting to see your hubby soon! I bet you are so excited about that!

Sounds like that brunch will be fun for both of you.

What colour are you thinking of dying your hair?

Yay! Have a great time with your hubby!

I never know what to do with my hair, either. I'm trying to grow it out but I've been trying to do that for years, LOL! I prefer it short but hubby likes it long. I cut it a few years ago, and since then I try to let it grow but it inevitably gets on my nerves and I go get it cut again. The length right now is driving me crazy... it just barely reaches the tops of my shoulders and I hate it! It needs to be longer or shorter... and I'm reeeaaalllly trying to resist getting it cut.

I HATE that the DIS does not let me know when there have been new posts till like forever after!!

I am so excited about getting to see my hubby. the brunch will be good and so will not having to make the long drive back to our place that night!

I'm thinking of brown with red streaks... Just not sure if I want to leave it so it grows out or cut short again.

Thats the length mine is right now and its driving me batty! Problem is I either want it left long enough to put in a ponytail for walking or short enough so it is off my neck...

Enjoy your time with DH!!

Thank you!!

It's doing that to you too?? For me it's not telling me which subscribed threads I have read or haven't. Usually the ones I haven't read are bolded, so I know which one to go to next. Now they stay bolded all the time, whether I've read it or not.

Just found out the Disney Parks app is available on the iPhone and while the app says Verizon it works on my At&t version!! (I think there are some features only for Verizon users)

The coolest thing I've noticed on it is it shows the times of all the little shows such as the Fife & Drum in American Pavilion and you can set a reminder for it!!

I'm tickled with this newest App for my phone!!

Very Cool! I will have to look for this APP. I have LINES, but haven't really used it much yet, of course:)

My timeshare itself is usually easy enough to use. It's the exchange part that is confusing!

My Wyndham timeshare is pretty easy to use. Its because we got bonus points when we became owners and we couldn't use them all so I deposited them into RCI. Its the whole RCI exchange thing that is driving me nuts!!

The trip will still happen (I pray) but it will probably just be a few days shorter if we are unable to do the RCI exchange.

Are you going to be there in time for the F&W Classic? It sounds AMAZING!!

Paula, Do you know about TUG? There is a lot of information there to help you figure out how to work the exchange system. Lots of those folks have Wyndam points and exchange into DVC. They combine weeks to get higher TPU and what not... Honestly, I don't know much about it but have read posts about it. TUG costs $15 per year to belong but it is priceless with information. I usually hover on the boards for Worldmark, as that is what I own, but I think you would find TUG useful.

I am so EXCITED THIS MORNING!!

:cool1::banana::dance3:

Someone sent me a private message that they saw more DVC available through RCI so I went to have a look! Sure enough there was quite a few available for the second week we will be in WDW!

So now I had to QUICKLY decide if I wanted SSR or VWL! Now I had always dreamed of staying at WL so that was my first instinct but then I thought... Well SSR has a boat to DtD! And the counter service there takes TIW so we could use that for a little savings on a few breakfasts...

So which did I go with?!?

photo from here!

Wilderness Lodge of Course!

There is a few downsides to getting this reservation though.

#1 I wasn't able to use the banked weeks I had paid to extend. I had to use newer points that I had deposited that were not set to expire till 2014!

#2 I now have at least one week banked with RCI that I paid to extend that I will likely not be able to use... anyone planning a vacation besides Disney and need a place to stay?!?

#3 It means a split stay which my hubby stated he DID NOT WANT! Ooopps! Hopefully he will forgive me after I ply him with more wine!!

It was me! Taking full credit for that PM:cool1: I almost stayed at WL too!
But being from the NW it was too much like home, so I decided to go with SSR. That DTD location was too appealing since we have teenagers and the dining plan that last week.

So, I'm wondering if I missed the post about the debate between dining plan and tables in wonder? It sort of seems like the DxDP may be a good deal for you guys, with all the great dining you have planned. Especially since you can add it for just the last week on DVC, or if you have the annual pass, just the first week at the hotel. But maybe not, if you have a lot of events that have to be paid out of pocket anyhow.

I enjoyed reading along, and hope you are having a great time with Hubby rigth now. I'm headed to Vegas myself on May 11th. Can't wait!

I keep trying to get inspired to work on my trip report, but so much keeps changing and is up in the air that I can't seem to capture it all.

I have a TUG membership. Unfortunately my banked weeks are old and cannot be used for DVC as they don't have enough trading power. I may be using one of them for my hubby to return to Vegas this summer. We will see!

Feel free to take full credit! I normally check TUG and the wyndham portal for availability every day but I was busy at work that night and didn't check and it probably would have been an hour or so longer to check if I hadn't checked my e-mail and seen your PM. so THANK YOU!!! (And thank goodness or the Wyndham Portal sale that allowed me to have enough points!) VWL has always been my dream resort so am very happy to have been able to book it!

I've tried and tried to make DxDP to work for us but because I have F&W events planned there is just no way to make it cost effective. I have pretty much decided to go with TiW. Still working out the prices and if it may just be better to go OOP. Time and savings will tell!

I hope you had a great time in Vegas! We had a fabulous time. Was very sad to have it come to an end.

I use my PTR so sound out my ideas! Sometimes it helps to hear others opinions! You have a large group though so planning has got to be difficult!!
