It's a World of Laughter a World of Tears A World of Hope & a World of Fears New 2/18

Choices:
A.) Beaches and Cream
B.) Port Orleans Boatwright's
C.) Somewhere on the Boardwalk (need ideas)

This is an easy one for me. Never been there (Yet!) but it's high on my to do list... Beaches and Cream. I may just starve myself for a day or two and dive into the Kitchen Sink. Probably even with the rest of the family helping, it still won't get finished.

You just made my mom's day :thumbsup2:laughing: She looked up the menu for Boatwright's and wasn't too happy with it so she kept saying I hope more people vote for Beaches and Cream! I have considered doing that for the Kitchen Sink but I am pretty sure even with me my mom and my dad we would never be able to finish it!

Uh, oh! Dawn's not going to be happy with me. My vote is for Boatrights. We were going to stay at POFQ in June and I was planning a dinner there but when we switched to WL, I couldn't squeeze it in.

Well we have decided to sort of compromise. My mom is worried about the cajun food after our May trip last year so I think we will be going to Beaches and Cream for dinner and then drinks at Boatwrights after we get back to the hotel :thumbsup2 Since they are so close in the voting and we don't want my mom to get sick again this is a nice compromise!:cutie:

Hi, I'm joining in! I just got back from the world on Saturday, and a PTR from you and your mom is just what I need to combat the post-Disney depression I have. :)

Hi, I'm joining in! I just got back from the world on Saturday, and a PTR from you and your mom is just what I need to combat the post-Disney depression I have. :)

Welcome back! I hope you had a great trip! Be sure to post the link to you TR when you start it!

I am glad we can help your post Disney depression!

Hi All! We are now up to Saturday February 25th which is "Race Day". I'm still not sure if I will be able to participate (I went to the gym but I'm not doing cardio as I'm still very easily winded) but if I can't compete I will be there cheering Caitlin on!

Our day will begin really early since the race starts at 7am  That means we have to catch the bus to Epcot between 5 and 6 am :eek::eek: Since we'll be up and out before the food court even opens we'll either have breakfast in the room or grab something at the race.

If you're familiar with Disney races you know that a lot of people race in "costumes". We aren't getting dressed up but we each did get a pair of these adorable Minnie Mouse earmuffs. (we anticipate it will be very cold that early in the morning)

Are they cute or what? We found 1 at our nearest Target for around $8 and then had to hit 3 more Targets before we were able to find another. Lucky for us we love Target-ing :thumbsup2

Besides the earmuff we'll be wearing black pants and pink tops. Cute but simple :cutie:

After the race we'll head back to POR to shower and change and check-out. You see we'll be switching over to Pop Century.

If you've followed us before you know that I love Pop! I think the theming is fun and I think it's perfect for a visit where you aren't spending much time at the resort or if you just want to take a budget vacay. Why pay for amenities you aren't going to use?

After we check-out of POR we'll be hopping on a bus and going back to Epcot. We have a lunch reservation with some handsome waiters ;)

Yep we're giving Via Napoli a try. Now we have heard mixed reviews about the food at VN but we have only heard positives about the cute waiters so this one was Caitlin's choice

After our meal we plan to spend the rest of the day at Epcot taking in the sights and sounds around World Showcase.

I want to be sure and take time to go see the British Revolution and that oh so cute eye candy for those of us over, 40+ Off Kilter. ;)

If you've noticed our first few days aren't too park heavy and we don't have a lot planned. That's because this is the end of President's week and the crowds are predicted to be really heavy. According to Touring Plans the crowd drops to 4's and 2's starting on Sunday so we'll be doing our heavy touring then. So I figure we'll just go with the flow and not let the crowds stress us out :)

Once we've had our fill of Epcot we'll grab a bus for Pop and go checkin to our new room :) Depending on the time we may chill there or head over to DTD.

Now you know that Caitlin is going to have to try and adult beverage at Epcot! She has narrowed it down to 4 and is once again asking for your input. Here are your choices:

Sangria at Via Napoli
Sultan's Colada in Morocco
Mango Gingerita in China
Grey Goose Slushie in France

Thanks for reading!

Okay, I'm all caught up! If you're still taking votes for dinner on your first full day, mine is definitely for Beaches and Cream!
Those earmuffs are precious! Target is the BEST.
I wish I could help vote for the adult beverages, but I don't drink and can provide absolutely no insight into this! haha but I bet everyone else will pick a great one!

Glad you're all caught up :)
We are going to Beaches and Cream and I can't wait :)
Thanks! I :lovestruc Target

I understand! I don't drink either so she'll be drinking alone. I'm guessing the Grey Goose slushie wins this one.

haha, well, I'm from the midwest too and we call it mini golfing. ;) I love Fantasia Gardens! And it's fun too when they give you the free ball when you're done (if they still do that...).

Mmm, Via Napoli is good! We're actually going there in April since my dad hasn't been. I hope you guys like it!

After I read that you call it mini golf I googled "putt putt" to find out why the name seems to vary so much. I discovered that "putt putt" is the brand name of some mini-golf places dating back to the 1950's. Since we had one in our area all "mini golf" started being referred to as putt putt. Kind of like how everyone calls facial tissue "Kleenex". That is today's history lesson. We are an educational ptr

Glad to hear you enjoyed Via Napoli! Thanks, I hope you dad likes it too :)

You found those ears at Target? Really? They are very, very cute!

My choice for the drink is easy.......

That sangria at Via Napoli is very good. I don't even think a GCS counts because there is next to no alcohol in there. I mean - I know its a right of passage, but my vote is the sangria.

I've never had the sultans???? whatever and if that drink in China is the one I think it is - don't - I had it and it has pulpy things in it. It's tasty but the texture is weird.

I honestly think you should treat yourself to two drinks today after running a race. You'll sleep well tonight! :rotfl:

Love the earmuffs! Those are so adorable. I love Targeting too! I can go from Target to Target all day.

I like the Grey Goose Slushie. Like MEK says, it's not full of alcohol, but I think it's a rite of passage at WDW.

Yep, Target. They were in the children's dept, but they fit :thumbsup2

I'll put you down for the Sangria and a GGS. She'll just have to eat a lot that day to soak up the alcohol

Thanks! We are the same way! During the after- Christmas sales we spend the day target hopping. I always feel bad for people who don't have Targets in their area

I had a feeling most people would chose the slushie.

The earmuffs are very cute. I am sure your outfits will look adorable, even if they are simple.:thumbsup2

I vote for the slushie. If Caitlin finds that there isn't too much alchohol in it, she can always try the orange flavored one later one.:)

Thank you :)

It looks like she's going to be trying the slushie. Too bad they don't sell sample sizes and she could try em all

Good morning ladies! Ok...those earmuffs....too cute for words! I think you'll need them in February early in the morning:lmao:

I know you know what my choice beverage is at Epcot but I will vote.....GGS!!!!! And in 2013 Caitlin, I will be buying your GGS when we are there!!

Good morning :)
When we go in Feb or early March we always freeze! So this time we're ready
I had no doubt you'd vote for the slushie :) Caitlin will be holding you to that
