When we arrived back at Pop, we looked around the Everything Pop store for a while.
I got a couple of t-shirts for myself, and I also picked up my mom a Minnie cold beverage mug.
Next, my husband headed over to pick up our carry-on luggage from bell services' storage area, while I headed over to the food court. It had only been able three hours since we had lunch, but we still had one dining credit apiece left and didn't want to let them go to waste. Why pay for dinner at the airport when we could get one at Pop for which we already paid?
Nothing much appealed to me on the Everything Pop food court menu, so I just ended up getting chicken fingers again. Since I wasn't terribly hungry, I only managed to finish half of it. I also picked up an Oreo cupcake I had been eyeing earlier in the week for my dessert, but I ended up packing that in my personal item to eat later. (I actually didn't end up eating it until we got home.) My husband got the turkey focaccia sandwich when he returned from getting our luggage. We were in a hurry, so I didn't get a chance to take any pictures of the food court or our food.
We made it outside to wait for Magical Express with about five to ten minutes to spare...talk about cutting it close! I was a little disappointed when the bus pulled up because it was actually a yellow Mears bus instead of an official Magical Express bus. Of course, I was much more disappointed about having to leave Disney at all.

I snapped one last picture of Pop before boarding the bus.
The bus stopped at Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside for additional pickups before heading to MCO.
We arrived at MCO about two hours before our scheduled departure time and made it through security in less than five minutes. I actually got picked for a random check, and they swabbed my bag. As long as I didn't have to get a pat down, though, I didn't mind!
When we originally got to the airport, our flight was listed as being on time, but when we got closer to the gate, we saw that it was now delayed by about 40 minutes. With nothing else to do, we grabbed seats near the gate to wait.
About an hour later, the airline announced that they had overbooked the flight, so they asked for volunteers to take a later flight in exchange for free round-trip tickets on a future flight. Since my husband and I didn't have to work the next day, we decided to volunteer. We were moved to a flight about 50 minutes later than our original one. We would actually arrive home two hours later than our original arrival time, though, due to a connection in Atlanta.
The vouchers they gave us do have some blackout dates; however, they are mostly just holidays. We actually already looked into redeeming them for a trip a few months from now, and they are available for use for the exact flights we would want.

I am not sure exactly what we are going to do yet, but it looks like there could be another trip in our future, possibly a Disney trip of some sort.
The new flight to Atlanta took off about 15 minutes late, and I was a little apprehensive that we might miss our connection to our home airport. However, we made it to our connection in time, and our second flight landed at about 12:30. By the time we grabbed our checked bag, caught the parking shuttle, and drove home, it was almost 2. In the end, we arrived home later than planned, but I feel it was worth it!
So I suppose that pretty much wraps up my trip report.

Before the moderators move it to the completed trip reports board, does anyone have any final questions or comments? I would be more than happy to answer anything about Pop, Disney in August, dining options, etc. Just let me know!
