As I mentioned in my last post, the Epcot monorail was down, so they were running buses to the TTC instead. We ended up waiting about a half an hour for a bus to the TTC and made it there around 10:20. I had a feeling the ferryboat might not be running, but my husband really wanted to try taking it. A ferry boat was just pulling away when we got there, so we figured they were still running and waited for another one. In the meantime, we could see the Electrical Water Pageant off in the distance. If you look closely, you can see it in this picture.
When the ferry pulled up, though, they announced that they were only transporting passengers from the Magic Kingdom and not to it. While this wasn't a huge deal, I wish they would have put a sign up or turned the ferryboat sign's lights off or something so we hadn't waited unnecessarily.
We headed over to the monorail instead and arrived at the Magic Kingdom at about 10:45 for Extra Magic Hours.
Our first stop was Splash Mountain.
The wait was listed as 25 minutes, but it was really more like ten. When we got off the line was still short, so we decided to ride a second time. After we had been waiting in line a few minutes, they announced that they were having technical difficulties, and they weren't sure how soon they would be resolved. They said we were all welcome to stay in line and wait. We figured we would wait five-ten minutes and then leave if it still wasn't working. We ended up waiting longer though because we thought we would probably get out of line, and they would get it working a minute or two later.
Twenty minutes later, we figured we had waited long enough and could always come back later if it started working. We started to exit through the little bridge that they have to bypass the queue (the chicken exit), and I asked my husband to stop a second so that I could get this picture of the boats sitting there. (Sorry that it's rather dark.)
Right as I finished putting my phone away, they got the ride working again, and we were able to climb back down to the back of the line (which was pretty much right there at the loading dock since most people had left.) So in the end, we did get to ride Splash Mountain a second time.
Next, we headed over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
The wait was about twenty minutes. We had these kids behind us that kept chanting "higher, higher" every time the train climbed a hill. It sounds kind of obnoxious, but it was actually kind of funny. (They actually apologized for being so loud when we got off, but we told them it was okay!

)
After Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, we headed to The Haunted Mansion, which also had a pretty short wait--about ten minutes.
We had not visited the new Storybook Circus area yet, so we headed over there and rode Dumbo next. The new Dumbo actually has a little fountain at the base that I don't remember the old Dumbo ride having. I would like to ride this again in the daylight to get a better look at the Fantasyland construction.
After Dumbo, we were going to go on a ride or two in Tomorrowland for the last twenty minutes, but we were starting to get tired. We headed out to Main Street instead where I got a Mickey ice cream sandwich as a snack.
We also got some Photopass pictures and stopped at one of the stores to get some sweets to take back to the resort.
On the way out, I snagged a couple more pictures of Main Street all lit up.
When we got to the bus stop, a Pop bus had just filled up and was getting ready to leave, but another one came a few minutes later. By the time we got back to the resort, it was almost 3 am! We actually saw a couple leaving for their 6 am flight home. Needless to say, we crashed pretty quickly the moment we got back to the room!
