My OCD has reached it's peak. I, LL, have made a list today planning out my outfits. Yes. I actually committed this list to paper. My list mania is completely out of control. Not only did I make a list of the outfits I will be wearing, I made a list of Day and Evening outfits, as I plan to change during our mid-afternoon breaks. I totally plan to type out this list and put it in my suitcase. It will make for easier mornings for LL. I also made a list of the last minute things I need to pack, hair spray, hair brushes, etc.
Also, one of my pair of capris doesn't fit, I knew they were going to be iffy as I have had them for years and years, so I have decided that we might have to do laundry while on vacation. I filled two little 3oz travel bottles with detergent in ziploc bags, double bagged of course and threw in a few dryer sheets. One less thing I have to buy down there. TK - I have dropps envy now. No cute dropps for LL.
I am really trying to not over pack, as I didn't wear half the stuff I packed for the cruise. I am trying very hard to stick to the list with only a few extras. DH also agreed to do the laundry when we have too since I've done so much planning. Thank you DH! I also went to Kmart, as it's the only "chain" like store in my town and bought some travel size space saver bags. I am not quite sure if they really save room or not. I also think my clothes are going to be a wrinkled mess when I get to Florida. Do I care? Not really. According to the Pop thread there is an iron and ironing board, think I can guilt DH into ironing for me too?
I really wanted to get the packing done this weekend but I ran into a snag. I knew it was going to happen, I don't know why I am so surprised, apparently I thought clothes would magically appear in my closet. A lot of the shirts that I plan to bring, like my polo's, I wear to work. Therefore, I can't really pack them yet. I did pack all the little tank tops I wear underneath them. I can go tank-less this week. I might just dig out some old clothes for work but I am very funny in that if I don't want to wear something, I will be very cranky if I have too. Yes, my emotional age is sometimes 2. That's why I have such a hard time packing, even though I never wear that Navy Blue tank top, I might want too in Disney. I just can't predict how I will feel next week.
DH & I went to The Dollar Tree yesterday....$45 later.... My goodness, do I love The Dollar Tree. I bought some unnecessary things but I had fun, that's what counts right? We had to buy some of those disposable metal pans for the kitty water & food and also as an extra litter box. By the way, MIL is coming over ONCE while we are gone to check on the kitties. Sigh.
Other fun things we bought!
Covers for our Ipods.
Mine is the pink, I chose the lime green for DH. Mine has a tinted pink screen on it and DH's has a clip on the back which I am jealous of.
I also bought 10 Disney Figures. Why? No idea. They were a $1 and they are cute. I had one that I bought on a previous trip to The Dollar Tree so now my collection is at 11. I figure I will bring them to put in our window at Pop. How's that for justification?
We also bought 2 of the magic Disney wash cloths. These are for DH's sweatage in the parks. They are more absorbent, we will carry them in ziplocs so they won't taint the Vera. They are pictured with the cheapo ponchos and plackers we got at Target. Gotta stay dry and have clean teeth after all of that Free Dining!
I went to Petco to pick up a few new kitty toys. The fuzzy poofball you see is Sulley's favoritest toy ever. I bought him two. He is so funny when he plays with it. He literally jumps, frolics and rolls all over it. So much that it will be completely soaked after he is done playing with it. Ruby likes them too, but they are Sulley's favorite!
I have also been in the midst of a Tip Envelope Crisis. The beautiful ones I printed off were so delightful and pretty BUT they kept leaving ink all over my fingers whenever I touched them. I think I must have used a bad quality paper to print them. They were really annoying me so I decided to make new ones. They aren't as special or cute, but I like them and they work. I made them and filled them last night. Basically I just printed it out on white printer paper and folded the paper into thirds. I paper clipped the money to the inside and put some stickers to close it. Thanks to TK for helping me to come up with some of the little phrases!
They are all packed in my Vera ready to go!
DH and I have been in the midst of a mega cleaning of the house as well. It's gotta be clean for MIL. Not that it isn't clean already, but you get my drift. I finally hung up some of the wedding pictures. I think they look really good and I took a picture for you to see. The largest collage is pictures from our first year of dating.
I also checked our flight again today. It's still the same. I also was reading about the check in process. It says I can check in 24 hours before online. I think that is what we are going to do.
I have been using my VB wallet/wristlet that my cubicle mate had gotten me a few weeks ago. I love it by the way, best wallet ever. So I have been using it when we go shopping with the little wristlet thing. I have informed DH that in the evenings I will probably just take my wristlet with our important stuff. The wristlet has liberated me from the huge honking messenger bag. I don't want to feel like a pack mule all day long. I figure I can toss in a few bandaids, since my shoe plan calls for having them at all times. That being decided, I am bringing my small camera bag that DH can share it carrying with me. This is different from the dry sack bag. It's a regular camera case with the a longer strap. I figure with thinking about having a little nugget soon, that the less pack mule I can feel on this trip the better.
Okay. I think that was Mega enough update.
