It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Great list! I haven't ever set up a tree since I live alone, and I didn't buy any Disney ornaments. But I'm thinking I may like a tree this year, anyway.

Ahem. No point to that last bit of mine other than to say your love of Christmas has made me fell--hmm, not nostalgic, not (quite) slackerish, but--wistful. :goodvibes

Love all your pins, and that is a very cool lanyard! Will you post a pic of the lanyards when they come in and you've selected the pins to put on them?
 I can't believe you don't have a Christmas Tree! Please promise me you will at least get a little tiny table top tree! I will buy you an ornament if you do!!

Oh and of course I will post pictures of the lanyard complete with pins!

First off, you don't need to convince this gal about art in Disney. I've purchased a fair amount. On our honeymoon, we got the big fig of Jack Skellington as a gift to ourselves. Since I was still a Disney Store CM, I got a 30% discount, which was awesome.

When we started going before DS was born, we met this great show artist named Eddie. Every year we would try to find Eddie, for a while he was on Main Street in a gallery there, then before BBB went into the castle, he was there. I couldn't find him last year, and the year before he had JUST gone to lunch. I hope to find him this year.

When we were first married, we had him do a drawing of Tarzan for us. It hangs in our bedroom.

When I was pregnant, and I knew I was having a boy, we had him do a couple of Dalmation puppies. That hangs in DS' room.

I love Eddie, we have a personal connection with him, and to have "his" artwork in my home makes me feel wonderful.

I'm also the girl who dropped $500 on a painting in China in Epcot, but let's not go there.;)

Totally decorate the nursery! It could be a fun trip tradition!

And I love the lanyard. That is really, really awesome, including the watch, very inconspicuous.:goodvibes
Ooooh. Eddie sounds awesome. I hope you find him! You have the best stories from WDW. :cloud9:

I really hope that DH and I are able to make some wonderful memories of our own on this trip.

I know you will, girlie! You've got good plans, a good attitude about ditching them if necessary, and reasonable expectations.

And you're resort switchin'! What's better than that? It's like two vacations in one!!!!:goodvibes

This is why we get along so well -- you even have a list for your souvenirs!!! :goodvibes

Your pins are super! Just wait until you see the selection at Disney -- you'll have a hard time limiting yourself!!!

Nothing I can think of except perhaps some good dream squad juju!

You absolutely must have a souvenir list, if not you will forget to buy something! :lmao:

Oh I already know I will hae trouble picking some pins.

Oh you will...You two will definately enjoy this second honeymoon! :goodvibes
Oh I really can't wait!!

I am sick and tired. Sick and tired of shoe. There is no smilie face that expresses the appropriate amount of disgust I currently have with shoes.

I have bought more shoes.

Exhibit A.

I had to reorder my adidas flip flops. For some reason it takes Shoebuy forever to ship Adidas shoes. My sneakers never shipped after three weeks and I was afraid these ones wouldn't make it time. So I canceled Shoebuy and ordered them from Kohl's for $3 cheaper. They have yet to ship but said they would arrive at my house between August 18 - 20th. Fingers crossed that UPS cooperates.

Exhibit B.

Yep. More Crocs. I have this insane fear that my dream squad juju won't work properly if not exposed. I really hope these are super comfy. Ordered from Shoebuy yesterday and they have already shipped.

Exhibit C.

I ordered these from Sierra Trading Post. They are in the Men's sizes because of my wide stupid feet.

I am telling you these better work. I don't really want to keep all of them but at this point if they all work, I may rejoice and keep them all.

I took a short walk this evening before the thunder and lightening sent me scurrying inside. I wore my new sneakers and my thin socks, granted they were not my new Danskin arch support socks but they were thin just like them and my heel was rubbed wrong by my shoe. Drats. I am going to go again in the morning since I realized how out of shape I truly am and going to try the thicker socks. I also plan on trying all of my shoes to walk in on my daily walks. I must feel more secure in my shoe choices!

I am also having a bit of a hair crisis. DH is getting a haircut next week sometime so he is all set. My hair on the other hand really needs to be trimmed and to be highlighted. Bah. So not in the money budget but how can I dine at Cinderella's Castle with my roots showing!?!?!

18 Days!!!

:woohoo: :dance3:  :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:  :dance3: :woohoo:

How do you dine at Cinderella's castle with your roots showing?

Short answer? YOU DON'T!!! :lmao:

Sorry, I coudn't resist. I think you should treat yourself, though, it is your birthday and all. :goodvibes

I love all the shoes, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something works for you. I feel your shoe drama pain, my friend. All too well.:rotfl2:

 for the continued shoe drama. One of those pairs is bound to work! It just has to!

Where did your sneakers rub the foot the wrong way? I know the danskin socks are thin, but maybe the magical arch support will put your foot in a different position and it wouldn't chafe. :confused3 It's probably a long stretch, but I'd be worried about your feet getting hot in a thicker sock.

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: to the shoe fit gods that your trip shoes will be found in this next batch!

  :dance3: :dance3: for 18 days!

Am I the only one that doesn't get this "hot" sneaker foot that you all keep talking about?

LL...I think you'll like the teva flip flops if they fit....I like mine. I need to cut the tags out but other than that they're :thumbsup2

My feet don't get hot in sneakers -- thank goodness -- I don't think I could walk the theme parks all day in flip flops.

My DMIL has and loves :lovestruc these shoes. She's worn them a ton this summer. Hope they work...or at least one pair work!

You've said before, but for those of us with memory problems (that would be me) what are these arch support socks that you love? Thick or thin?

Am I the only one that doesn't get this "hot" sneaker foot that you all keep talking about?

Your feet may not sweat as much as mine, LL's, and TKs. In the summers I (and I don't think they) can really do a regular sneaker, particularly not with thicker socks, because there's not enough ventilation and it literally feels like I'm wearing little ovens on my feet.

I do still wear regular sneakers to the gym when I'm working out, and I may wear them if I go for a walk, but wearing them for 8 hours plus in a Florida summer would absolutely kill me.

I love flip flops, and live in them until the weather is too cold for my toes to stand it... but MAN do my feet hurt at the end of a long walking day! It'll be sneakers in the park for me and I'll throw a pair of flip flops in my bag, just in case.

Oh, I wear flip flops from the end of March until it gets too cold -- I love them! However, can't wear them if there is a lot of walking involved.

 for your shoe issues. I'm not a shoe girl (eek am I allowed to say that around these people  ) but I do understand the need to be comfortable while walking for 8 hours a day. I really hope you are able to find something that works.

Rest assured, I am calling today to see how much it will cost to get my hair done. Cross your fingers that they are running a special on some foils.

I think I figured out what was wrong with the socks I had on. They were lower cut. I am wearing my danskin arch support today and they are much higher on my ankle. Good to know. I think I will pick up another package. I am obsessive about having enough socks and bandaids. :lmao:

My issue is more that I don't want to wear my sneakers all day. I want to wear them for half because I find my feet are better able to cope when I switch shoes halfway through the day. I used to work 15 hour shifts and if I switched my shoes halfway through, it was a very refreshing feeling for myself and my tootsies.

My feet don't get hot in sneakers -- thank goodness -- I don't think I could walk the theme parks all day in flip flops.
I can't either. I am just hoping for some variety.

My DMIL has and loves :lovestruc these shoes. She's worn them a ton this summer. Hope they work...or at least one pair work!

You've said before, but for those of us with memory problems (that would be me) what are these arch support socks that you love? Thick or thin?
They make the arch socks in both thick and thin. I actually have both kinds to take to Disney. I have the Hanes version and the Danskin version.

Your feet may not sweat as much as mine, LL's, and TKs. In the summers I (and I don't think they) can really do a regular sneaker, particularly not with thicker socks, because there's not enough ventilation and it literally feels like I'm wearing little ovens on my feet.

Little ovens and poor tired feet. Blech.

No way I could wear flip flops all day either. Sometimes they bother me when I go out running errands and such.

Ditto.

Thanks for the shoe support! I never thought I was a shoe girl but apparently it's my current obsession.

Great list! I haven't ever set up a tree since I live alone, and I didn't buy any Disney ornaments. But I'm thinking I may like a tree this year, anyway.

Definitely try a small table top tree at least. I've had my baby tree since my college days. My trees keep growing. Last year I actually had 3. My tiny college days tree, a full size tree and a mid-size tree just for all my Yankee ornaments. Every year I say I'm not going to put them up, but always end up doing it.

I am also having a bit of a hair crisis. DH is getting a haircut next week sometime so he is all set. My hair on the other hand really needs to be trimmed and to be highlighted. Bah. So not in the money budget but how can I dine at Cinderella's Castle with my roots showing!?!?!

I don't blame you on this. I had to run out and pick up some color to do my hair before I leave. I don't want to have to look at a whole cd of photos of me with roots showing.

Am I the only one that doesn't get this "hot" sneaker foot that you all keep talking about? sup2

I'm usually fine, but mine do get a bit warm and heavy by the end of the day if I wear regular sneakers. I'm hoping my LL Bean beach sneakers give me enough airflow to help this problem. I'd never be able to make it through a day of walking wearing just flip flops.

LL I love the pins! Can't wait to see what you come home with this trip.
