It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Oh, those sound very good! What is the bottom that makes them black?

Just the chocolate cake. But I guess "black bottom" sound better than "brown bottom"--for obvious reasons. :scared:

DH used the last of the butter this week and never told more nor went to the store to buy some. Mind you, DH has gone to the grocery twice over the last few days. I asked for some bread and butter with dinner and we didn't have any. My reaction was not pretty, nor was DH's. We aren't really talking at the moment. One of those things, you know? :scared:

As for all the baking everyone has been doing. My children made a "Shrek" cake yesterday. Yes a green cake with purple frosting. YUM!

Oh. My. Goodness. That's... interesting.

We kissed and made up over the butter incidence. Men. Pffft.

Please tell me you took pictures of the Shrek Cake, I would love to see them!!

:lmao: Wait until you have kids. There is A LOT that is "interesting."

The Shrek cake tastes fine, but it is rather difficult to eat green cake, and I love cake!

Did they just use green food coloring?

I am so glad although I would have reacted the way you did!

Me too!

I'm glad you kissed and made up.

I just sent Daisy to take a picture of the cake.

Hurray! :yay:

So loooong......farewelll........goodbyeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Saturday September 6th:

The last day. The day every DISer dreads. Bah.

Ugh I am with you....Sept 6 is my last day too. I just posted my itinerary on my pre-trippie and typing out that day was depressing!

It looks like some of our plans overlap - I'll be at DHS on the 4th too, and also going to Epcot that night. On the 3rd we'll be at MK in the evening, so if I see you I will have to wish you a happy bday!

WOO HOO!! Thank you Daisy!!!

:lmao: Note the butter dish in the background! :rotfl:

It's silly but I was so mad. Geesh.

Wow, that is green! I would eat a piece!

LL, your thread is a bit evil today with all this talk of cake, cupcakes and cookie dough! :lmao: I'm trying to be so good to drop a few pounds before leaving for Disney. (If I don't my shorts will be so tight I won't be able to enjoy any of my adr's;) ).

Everything looks so good though! I'm going to keep drinking my slimfast this morning and try to look forward to some frozen cool whip tonight.

I love frozen cool whip! A couple of bites are like heaven...I pretend it's a Dole Whip!:lmao:

Tell me about it! I am trying to eliminate sugar and it's so not helpful!! I used to make a weight watchers recipe, where you mix peanut butter, the chunky kind with cool whip and freeze it in mini cupcake liners. SOOOO GOOD! The points weren't too bad either.

Cupcakes and frozen cool whip sounds so yummy!!!!
I am so very hungry for anything sweet at the moment!

That does look good! I was actually thinking green isn't all that bad--puts me in mind of mint!

Mmm, that sounds tasty! I love peanut butter. :thumbsup2

I actually got the idea thanks to you. I was having such icecream cravings yesterday at work that I stopped at Target on my way home to pick up a large tub. Saved me, as after I ate my cool whip I got a call from some friends wanted to know if I wanted to go out for italian ices. Whew! Close call. I don't know if I could have resisted without the cool whip.

It's tough! Until I go on vacation I'm keeping myself to a very strict diet so I can fit in my shorts. I'm a total sweets girl so that is what I'm craving most. Luckily I love watermelon so I try to restrict myself to a large helping of that. Usually does the trick.

...I'm catching up on your report while sharing a left over piece of Little Mermaid cake with Stasia and Lexi! Breakfast of champions! :rotfl:

I can't wait to go shopping in WDW for my souvenirs! Usually I don't buy a lot. I feel guilty about purchasing more since it's usually a fairly expensive vacation. I am determined to get over this in a few short weeks!

Mr. Potato Head Parts
I really want to check this out, I am not fully committed to purchasing parts but I have a feeling they will be too cool to resist. I am also waiting to buy a Mr. Potato Head Body until I get home, why waste the money if I don't end buying the parts?

Basin

I am so excited to check out Basin. I know I will have to buy a little something here.

Art of Disney
I have a dream. A dream that I have had for at least 5 years. If I was to have a boy baby, I would like to make a nursery with Disney Posters. I don't know I feel like this just for a boy but I do. Sue me. I really like the vintage reproductions of the original movie posters. Some of my favorites are Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Sword in the Stone and Fox and The Hound. Thus far, I have resisted the urge to start my Disney movie poster collection HOWEVER with DH and I trying to expand our family, it's going to be really really difficult. Plus I have Heidi's tip on carrying the poster on the plane in the poster tube. :goodvibes

Music CD
The Disney music selection is sorely lacking on Itunes and I would really like to add to my collection. I can't wait to see what CD's I can find!

Christmas Ornaments
I adore Christmas. I think I love the spirit of Christmas the best with Halloween following very closely behind. The plan is to get an ornament for our tree, maybe two. :rolleyes1 I would also like to get an ornament for my Mom and MIL. My mom collects snowmen and I would really like to get a Disney related snowmen because she doesn't have one of those. MIL is up in the air. We have already decided that we are getting both sets of parents gift certificates for restaurants this year for Christmas and I think the Disney ornament will be a nice add on to the present.

Pins
I have been regretting not purchasing any pins for myself since July 23, 2005. That was the last time I was in WDW. :::::Sigh:::::: What does a gal do when she regrets not purchasing something.....??

She develops an ebay addiction. :upsidedow

To be fair, my brother bought me the Sulley pin when he went to Disney in January 2006. All of the others have been bought on ebay over the last three years. I love my pins. I can't wait to actually buy some in Disney and maybe trade if I don't feel like too big of a dork.

My cubicle mate is very amused by the whole pin lanyard and trading phenomenon. So much so, that while in Bermuda, I bought her very own Bermuda lanyard. I plan to buy her a pin down in Disney. She requested Cinderella or Snow White but I am hoping I can find another one too that just says "cubicle mate" to me. :thumbsup2

Which leads me to my latest ebay purchase. The coolest lanyard. Ever.

Yes, that is a watch on the lanyard. Smartest idea ever. DH and I do not wear watches and we were constantly going crazy in Bermuda and on the cruise because neither of us brought our cell phones. I was planning to get a cheapo watch on a keychain at Walmart this week but now I don't' have too. Insto presto, I have got myself a lanyard and watch! I didn't want to wait to purchase a lanyard because I probably won't bring all of my pins because some of them are sentimental, so I need time to pick and choose the one that are lanyard worthy. I can't wait to get it in the mail. :thumbsup2

Great list! I haven't ever set up a tree since I live alone, and I didn't buy any Disney ornaments. But I'm thinking I may like a tree this year, anyway.

Ahem. No point to that last bit of mine other than to say your love of Christmas has made me fell--hmm, not nostalgic, not (quite) slackerish, but--wistful. :goodvibes

Love all your pins, and that is a very cool lanyard! Will you post a pic of the lanyards when they come in and you've selected the pins to put on them?

First off, you don't need to convince this gal about art in Disney. I've purchased a fair amount. On our honeymoon, we got the big fig of Jack Skellington as a gift to ourselves. Since I was still a Disney Store CM, I got a 30% discount, which was awesome.

When we started going before DS was born, we met this great show artist named Eddie. Every year we would try to find Eddie, for a while he was on Main Street in a gallery there, then before BBB went into the castle, he was there. I couldn't find him last year, and the year before he had JUST gone to lunch. I hope to find him this year.

When we were first married, we had him do a drawing of Tarzan for us. It hangs in our bedroom.

When I was pregnant, and I knew I was having a boy, we had him do a couple of Dalmation puppies. That hangs in DS' room.

I love Eddie, we have a personal connection with him, and to have "his" artwork in my home makes me feel wonderful.

I'm also the girl who dropped $500 on a painting in China in Epcot, but let's not go there.;)

Totally decorate the nursery! It could be a fun trip tradition!

And I love the lanyard. That is really, really awesome, including the watch, very inconspicuous.:goodvibes
