It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Actually mostly just lettering, but since the individual letters in the script I want (pirate-y) are either hard to come by and/or expensive, it'll be easier for me to do on the computer. I may also throw a WALL-E one in and probably a Tink one (of course). And of course there will be a lil' sumpin' sumpin' for my sweet sis.

My only issue is this - I would really like to do tank tops and not tees because I'm more of a tank kind of gal, but I don't think the ribbing will work well with the transfers (streeeeeetching of the graphics across the girls) so the challenge will be finding inexpensive tanks with no ribbing.
Try old navy. That is where I have had success with no ribbing tanks.

:lmao:

There are a couple of free graphic programs you could maybe try out. I used Serif's Photo Plus to make the accursed pencil graphic for my shirt.

Thanks for the tip! I will have to check it out. You are a wealth of knowledge with your links! :thumbsup2

Woohoo! AWESOME idea! I hadn't thought of that and I can probably get them relatively cheap-o.
I have issues with tanks. I love them but I have very weird shoulders that don't hold up straps so they have to be super short. That rules out a lot of tanks. Bah. I have been known to wear a tank under a shirt or hoodie and elastic the straps in the back so it will look right in the front. :lmao:

Aww...a lil' sumpin' sumpin' for me? :goodvibes

Also, try Walmart for tanks with no ribbing. They have some in the White Stag brand that are a nice v-neck sleevless tank. Lots of colors too.:thumbsup2

I did the UNthinkable today....

I called that lovely phone number 407-WDW-DINE :scared1:

Muhahahahahaha!

Stay tuned for the changes. I am still tweaking, computing and listing!

You know, I've had a really long day and a tease like that just isn't fair.

Don't make me pull out a hissy fit!;)

::::Scans classroom::::: TK, you may guess since you have waited so patiently.

Thank you, Mrs. LL!

Um...hmm...

Liberty Tree Tavern and Tony's Town Square Restuarant.

The first because you want to see Minnie in colonial garb, must be the history buff in you (yes I do read the Lapuette thread when I get home from work) and Tony's because you're sentimental, and romantic, and want to see the footprints, and are hoping that you can watch Spectromagic from the patio?

Am I even one iota close?

That's totally off the top of my head without even remembering any of your MK ADRs...well, except the castle.

Round of applause for TK. I give you full marks but you aren't 100% right. Why you ask!?! I will tell you.

In the next post. :lmao:

That I will type right after I post this....

Here is what happened.

I made the executive decision to call for a Liberty Tree Tavern ADR since they will be discontinuing the characters, which the nice CM confirmed to me. Sad. I confer with the DH and agree to pay OOP for Kona Cafe breakfast because it is so much cheaper and not really *worth* the TS credit.

Silly LL made the reservation for August 31st. Got a great time of 9:20. Yes, I said great. We can still go to DTD if we want...no Earl of Sandwich but I am confident we will get there later in the week or next trip. It's a great time because we are two swinging adults...no not that kind of swinging, but I digress. It's great because there are two showings of Spectromagic and we can eat and catch the 11pm show and be very near the Tour Guide Mike recommended viewing spot. BONUS!

I am all happy and plugging away the new digits (confirmation #) in my wonderful fabby listy itinerary and...GASP! I don't have the meal credits for that end of the week. Our Kona Cafe breakfast is on our Wilderness Lodge end of the week. What is a girl to do!?!

Convince DH that we should pay out of pocket for Liberty Tree Tavern and buy the cute little patriot mugs at LTT(mighty fine work if I do say so myself) to mark the occasion, still pay out of pocket for Kona Cafe breakfast and book Tony's for MNSSHP night. In honesty, I did try to get LTT for MNSSHP night but no luck. I was holding out for Tony's...again no luck. I crossed my fingers and asked for Crystal Palace...DING DING DING! We have a winner. So now we have 6:05 reservation for CP on MNSSHP night. Phew.

Yes...it adds money...yes we could skip CP but why waste a TS credit on Kona Cafe, just not economical in the LL mind. I am completely satisfied. By completely satisfied I mean that I will still try a few times to see if I can get Tony's instead but won't cry over lost ADR's on a very busy night for dinner reservations at Magic Kingdom.

To top it off, I even calculated our projected eatings for the week and figured out the amounts to put in our tip envelopes. I rounded up for sure and plan to put small bills, mostly $1's and $5's so we can adjust. I even added up the total for two LAPU LAPUS for DH and I to indulge in at the Tambu Lounge. Yay LL!

So the grand total OOP cost for the whole shabang* is $ 309.

*The whole shabang is defined as:
1 OOP CS Meal
3 OOP TS Meals (Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace Bfast & Kona Cafe Bfast)
2 OOP Lapu Lapus
11 Tip Envelopes for all meals & Lapu Lapus.

Because I am the obsessive LL that I am, I plan on bringing $375 marked for food. Just in case I really like the Lapu Lapus or if we are extremely hungry or whatever else we may want to partake in. :thumbsup2

I feel good! :goodvibes

I feel good that you feel good because that's really good...savvy?:lmao:

On a more serious note...nope, can't be serious, too tired.:rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 for the new plans. I love the Crystal Palace for dinner, it's so sooooo much fun. In the past, we've done an early dinner ADR there, changed into costumes and then gotton our Halloween Par-tay on! So, I think it's a great thing to do the night of.:goodvibes

And I'm really excited that you're eating at LTT. Because I'm selfish and want lots of pictures. Also because I'm so not into the type of food they have there. Just not my cup of tea on vacation, but I am sad that they're getting rid of the characters since it's the only reason I would have considered eating there. Ah well.

Yeah for LL's trip planning prowess!:)

Thank you so much. I feel good. Real good. I feel like that $ amount is doable and not as bad as I was fearing. I don't expect to spend the set aside amount of $375 but I rather have it then not.

 for Colonial Minnie. I have never hugged Minnie. I am so excited! :dance3:

Yay for your ADR plans! Everything sounds good! I'm so glad you have everything worked out to your satisfaction.

I think I am going to try it. I am going to mosey over to the DISign portion of the DIS and see what they have cooking over there. I would love to find a really cool shirt for DH since he is so hesitant about wearing a "kid" shirt. He needs something manly. :lmao: His words, not mine.

I just ran out myself tonight to pick up some transfer paper for some t's I'm going to do up for the family trip. A wonderful person over there did a great design for me, and the rest of the family loved it. I'm so excited about the family shirts. I can't believe my father even agreed to wear a matching tee shirt.

Just a heads up, though, depending on the number of shirts you're planning on doing, the paper is a tad expensive. Regardless, though, it'll likely be cheaper than zazzle.

A hint to save money on the transfer paper. If you live near a craft place like Michaels or AC Moores try getting it there. They run 40% off coupons in the Sunday paper. As long as the paper isn't on sale already you can use it. I used one tonight at AC Moores and bought a package of 10 sheets for about $6. :thumbsup2

I don't know if you have one near you, but Steve and Barrys has plain white tanks in the Sarah Jessica Parker line. Everything there is $8.98. I found a some nice white tees there for my shirts. They have a bit more shaping to them.

I did the UNthinkable today....

Is that number programmed into your speed dial yet? :)

Sounds like a great plan. I've never tried LLT tavern and was actually thinking of trying to switch my Crystal Palace ressie. While I love Crystal Palace for the location, I'd much rather meet the characters at LTT. I'm just not sure if I can talk the folks into it.

I'm willing to bet that you and DH don't eat as much on this vacation as you think you will.
We have an ADR for Kona Cafe for breakfast but I highly doubt we will keep it. I priced it out and I can't bring myself to spend $40 on breakfast (and that doesn't include food for DS). My plan is go to Captain's Cooks CS for my tonga toast....that priced out at $22 for all 3 of us for breakfast. So keep that in the back of your mind if you start running low on cash.

I hope you post the design so we can see it!! I didn't even think of getting the transfer paper at AC Moore or Michael's. D'oh! Thanks for the great idea, I will print myself out a coupon, ASAP!

Pshaw! I have got it memorized!

I think you should try! I am really happy that we are doing it. It was one that was iffy but figured we could hit it up next trip.

I have that and central reservations programmed into my cell phone! :rotfl:

LL, the new ADRs look good!!! Sorry I missed the excitement all day :(.
Thank you! What were you up too yesterday? Anything fun?

I'm willing to bet that you and DH don't eat as much on this vacation as you think you will.

I did look at Captain's Cooks but they don't have the macadamia pancakes which is what I really want. I do have that in the back of my mind though. I think we won't spend as much money but I rather be safe than sorry. :thumbsup2
