It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

Hi girlie! Just wanted to check and say I loved your last update. Sounded like a nice day with your DF, and you could use one of those! Don't stress too much about ADRs...it'll all work out...it'll all work out...hey, I think I've found your new mantra! Zazzle here I come! ;)

:lmao: I do love me some mantras!! Mantras + Zazzle = Lallie's :cloud9:

Can't wait to see those binder pics...popcorn::

Don't worry about missing anything on this trip -- my mantra is "next time" and it gives me an excuse (like I need one) to plan the next trip! :goodvibes

That's what I keep telling myself but it doesn't help my crazy brain! It's the OCD Perfectionist in me that wants this trip to be Spectacular for DF and I. :lovestruc I am just going to prioritize.

It will be no matter where you eat -- you will be with your new husband at the place Where Dreams Come True staying at the Wilderness Lodge -- that in and of itself will make it perfect. :goodvibes You could eat counter service everyday and still have a magical time. Just remember that :).

:goodvibes

1. :lmao: about the normal part. Of course, we are all normal here -- in a Cheshire Cat kind of way. :ccat: ;)

2. I am glad I could help -- I have to tell myself those exact things a lot because I am always worried something won't go right, and then I realize, "Wait, I will be at Disney World! It will all be okay!"

Alright, I am fully prepared to sound totally dorky..ahem...I mean Disney chic-y...but did you know that at the Wilderness Lodge you can request turn-down service?

I love turn-down service, and I had totally forgotten about it. Beds turned down, little chocolates, stuffed animals arranged for you to snuggle with...just one more thing to look forward to. :thumbsup2

Because I am sick of freaking about my schedule, I am going to focus on the positives and start with my must do/gonna try to do lists. I know in my heart of hearts that we probably won't be able to get EVERYTHING done but if I write them down at least I will remember for next time.

In no particular order and jumping all willy nilly around the park....

Magic Kingdom

Pictures at Partners Statue --- I love this statue and always admire but take very few pictures. That will be remedied.

Roy Disney Statue --- I don't remember ever seeing this but I want too.

Cinderella Castle Mosaic --- In "The Complete Walt Disney World 2008" there are some beautiful pictures of this and how it was made, and I want to check it out.

Lady & The Tramp Paw Prints --- I have read that they are in the cement in front of Tony's patio. How adorable!

Cinderella's Golden Carousel --- Believe it or not, this princess have never ridden it, only admired from afar.

Mickey's Philharmagic --- Love it!

Peter Pan's Flight --- Have it done since I was little and really want too again.

It's A Small World --- I mainly want to ride this to torture DF. :rolleyes

Ariel's Grotto --- I would love to meet the elusive Mermaid.

Snow White's Scary Adventure --- I don't know if I have ever been on this, maybe my very first trip but I don't remember.

Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh --- DF thinks this is a kids ride, he can't get over the honey pots.

Mickey's Toontown Fair --- I have very briefly walked through this part but have never stopped to enjoy. I am looking forward to enjoying all the little details.

Enchanted Tiki Room --- I am sucker for these birds and I just don't understand why as I don't really care for birds in real life especially in close proximity. The birds in pet stores freak me out, they have cold stone death eyes.

Pirates of the Caribbean --- WOO HOO! I haven't seen the updates yet and can't wait. This is must must ride and never ever miss.

Hall of Presidents --- Haven't seen in the last two trips and it's a nice way to relax.

Haunted Mansion --- I wasn't able to ride this last trip as it was closed and I am going to make up for it with a ride or two...or three.

Stitch's Great Escape --- I figure I have to try it at least once.

Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor --- Monster's Inc is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see this.

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin --- Never have done but I must try and kick DF's butt. He is very much looking forward to this ride.

Carousel of Progress --- This is in my top 5 MK attractions. I love it. Period. It just makes me happy. Period.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority --- It's just not Tomorrowland without a little spin on TTA.

Sword in the Stone --- Every Saturday morning as a child (well almost) my brother and I would get up early and pop in Sword in the Stone. Secretly, I think my Dad purposefully left this in the VCR because it was one of the Disney movies that he could stomach. At some point, Dad would wake up and cuddle with the two of us in his recliner and we would watch the rest or until Mom cooked breakfast. I have seen pictures of the Sword in the Stone by the carousel but never knew it was there. I must see it and get corny pictures. :cloud9:

Spectromagic
--- Never seen, must see, I will cry if I miss it again.

Wishes --- Never seen, must see, I will cry if I miss it again.

What might be...
I have left out Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain.
1. I have done them all before and don't want to wait in line for ungodly amount of time when there are paw prints to see and dole whips to eat!
2. I am not a huge fan of roller coasters although I do enjoy the two.
3. I hate big scary drops and have a picture to prove it. I am buried into my mother's shoulder with her and my brother whooping it up on the way dooown.
4. I do not enjoy getting wet and then having to walk around the park, not to mention my hair will be messed for all of the upcoming photos.
If the mood strikes, the line is small and I am having a REALLY good hair day, we just might hop on but I will not be sad if they are missed.

Food. Food and More Food.
The must digest for MK are.....
Casey's Hot Dog
Ice cream cookie sandwich from Main Street Bakery
---have you seen pictures of these things??? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Dole Whip
Crystal Palace --- We have an ADR for our first full day...all the glorious morning pictures with no one in them.
Cinderella's Royal Table --- My much anticipated Birthday dinner!

Much to do, will it all happen? Who knows. I sure as heck don't. Will we do our best? Absolutely!

I feel yet another, itinerary change....

Seriously!?! Whoa. I am super excited!

Speaking of stuffed animals, my new quest is a trip mascot. I must find something Lallie Fabulous and will look cute with DF when I make him pose with it.

Magic Kingdom

Lady & The Tramp Paw Prints --- I have read that they are in the cement in front of Tony's patio. How adorable!

Okay, in all my years, I don't even remember seeing this. I must seek it out! :goodvibes

Cinderella's Golden Carousel --- Believe it or not, this princess have never ridden it, only admired from afar.

It's the best gosh darn carousel in the whole wide world!

Mickey's Philharmagic --- Love it!

Enchanted Tiki Room --- I am sucker for these birds and I just don't understand why as I don't really care for birds in real life especially in close proximity. The birds in pet stores freak me out, they have cold stone death eyes.
I used to love this. Then it came under new management. Now, not so much. And I'm all for change, and new, improved things. Just not in this case. Ah well. To each their own.

Pirates of the Caribbean --- WOO HOO! I haven't seen the updates yet and can't wait. This is must must ride and never ever miss.

I don't think I even need to discuss how I feel about this ride. I loved it old school, and I love the new hotness.

Two words.

Jack Sparrow.

Haunted Mansion --- I wasn't able to ride this last trip as it was closed and I am going to make up for it with a ride or two...or three.

This chamber has no windows and no doors...;)

Stitch's Great Escape --- I figure I have to try it at least once.
Not to put a damper on it, but you really don't. By all means, if you have time, go ahead, but as someone who loves Stich, about this experience, I felt, meh.

Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor --- Monster's Inc is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see this.
So much fun!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin --- Never have done but I must try and kick DF's butt. He is very much looking forward to this ride.
To infinity and beyond!

Sword in the Stone --- Every Saturday morning as a child (well almost) my brother and I would get up early and pop in Sword in the Stone. Sounds good so far. You seem to have at least a basic idea of what is a must do and what would be nice to do. I think that will help you in the long run.

Seriously!?! Whoa. I am super excited!
It's really the little things. Queen beds. Turn-down service. Ahh, heaven.
Speaking of stuffed animals, my new quest is a trip mascot. I must find something Lallie Fabulous and will look cute with DF when I make him pose with it.

Too cute! I'm having a hard time with mine. I plan to bring a JS action figure, but have not decided which one yet. I have...ahem...a few.

Not to put a damper on it, but you really don't. By all means, if you have time, go ahead, but as someone who loves Stich, about this experience, I felt, meh.
Really? Wow. This is alarming. I love Stitch and was hoping that everyone was just crazy but if TK says it, it must be true. How sad. Why can't the give Stitch an attraction that he deserves!?

That's what I am hoping anyways! As I have said before this trip is to "Stop and Smell the Dole Whips", I want to do this stuff that I have whizzed by being the Park Commando that I am. I want to see those paw prints, dang it!

It's really the little things. Queen beds. Turn-down service. Ahh, heaven.
Seriously. I can't wait. I think I am still in shock that I am staying at WL, I have to remind myself. Geesh, I hope I snap out of it.

Now you must show me your options. You can have a poll. Seriously, I need to see pics and I am sure I can get others to agree!
I like the whole idea of a trip mascot, orginally I thought something princess-y since the "Once Upon A Time" title but it's my trip and I can do what I want, so we shall see what I come across.

I know, it's weird coming from me because I think normally I'm a positive, agreeable gal. When DH and I went on this, it was also experiencing some malfunctions, which sort of tainted the experience. It is cute, but imho not worth the time. Although considering that was probably the only fifteen minutes DH and I spent alone together on that family trip, since mom watched DS while we went on, perhaps it was worth it! :lmao:

I want to see those paw prints, dang it!
And you will, dagnabit!

Seriously. I can't wait. I think I am still in shock that I am staying at WL, I have to remind myself. Geesh, I hope I snap out of it.

I am actually shocked that I, queen budgeter, frugal mama extraoridnaire, agonizing over buying myself good quality shoes to wear to work, booked the Wilderness Lodge! And then I remember...we're worth it. :goodvibes

I believe the procedure too, so you know, is that it's available upon request. Once you get there, and are in your room, you dial housekeeping and request a nightly turn-down during your stay.:goodvibes

Now you must show me your options. You can have a poll. Seriously, I need to see pics and I am sure I can get others to agree!
Perhaps I can get cracking on that during DS' nap tomorrow.;)

I think something princessy would be lovely. Either that or Mary Poppins! :)

Good lord, the trend we've started. And by we, I mean me and Tink. I cannot claim full responsiblity for this madness. Someone must shoulder the burden with me! Pirate!;)

Aye. ;)

I know my man is like that too, so to make it easier on him, I showed him the pics on allears.net again tonight......flat screen tv...

Oh how I wish this would work with BF. Unfortunately, I am my own worst enemy with this one, since last year my Christmas gift to the BF was a 42" flat screen DLP.

Damnitall!

Lady & The Tramp Paw Prints --- I have read that they are in the cement in front of Tony's patio. How adorable!

I NEED to find these!!!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority --- It's just not Tomorrowland without a little spin on TTA.

I wholeheartedly agree!

Two words.

Jack Sparrow.

Two more words:

Yum. Yum.

I'm finally all caught up!!! I've missed these reports. Your plans sound great!

I am actually shocked that I, queen budgeter, frugal mama extraoridnaire, agonizing over buying myself good quality shoes to wear to work, booked the Wilderness Lodge! And then I remember...we're worth it. :goodvibes
We are totally worth it! Speaking of shoes...I have had two pairs of sandals break on me in the last week! Two! I am beyond mad. I hate them and I want new ones for free. Cute sandals for work and then kaput my hopes and dreams of cute toes for work during the summer is gone. Pffft.

I believe the procedure too, so you know, is that it's available upon request. Once you get there, and are in your room, you dial housekeeping and request a nightly turn-down during your stay.:goodvibes
Do they charge for this? Because if not, why doesn't everyone do it. What fun and luxary!

Perhaps I can get cracking on that during DS' nap tomorrow.;)
Where is that can do attitude...?? You WILL get cracking during DS's nap tomorrow. Hehehe. Whoa Lallie, calm down. Whenever you can is fine.

I think something princessy would be lovely. Either that or Mary Poppins! :)
Genius! Mary Poppins it is! If only I had been smart to have come up with a witty Mary Poppin PTR title. So question about this whole PTR/TR thing...do you make a whole new thread for your TR or do you just continue on the PTR one? I am perplexed.

Oh how I wish this would work with BF. Unfortunately, I am my own worst enemy with this one, since last year my Christmas gift to the BF was a 42" flat screen DLP.

Damnitall!
DF was drooling over the flat screens this weekend. Argh. I am just not into the whole technology that is flat screens.
DF: Can we get a flat screen?
ME: No.
DF: I really want one, can't we get one?
ME: No.
DF: *Puppy Dog Face* ::::Sigh:::: Can we get one next year?
ME: No.
DF: We are getting one next year.
ME: We are going to WDW twice next year.
DF: Okay, we will go twice if I get my tv before we go.
ME: The second trip must be booked before you get said TV.
DF: Deal. I want 42"
ME: No.

Ha! I highly doubt this will happen but if it means two trips I will seriously consider it.

I'm finally all caught up!!! I've missed these reports. Your plans sound great!
I am glad you are back and caught up. Dis is not the same without you!

Cinderella Castle Mosaic --- In "The Complete Walt Disney World 2008" there are some beautiful pictures of this and how it was made, and I want to check it out.

It's beautiful!

[Lady & The Tramp Paw Prints --- I have read that they are in the cement in front of Tony's patio. How adorable!

I love these little touches that Disney always adds.

[Cinderella's Golden Carousel --- Believe it or not, this princess have never ridden it, only admired from afar.

This is one of our favorites -- we always ride it at least twice -- the horse with the yellow ribbon is Cinderella's.

[Peter Pan's Flight --- Have it done since I was little and really want too again.

We rediscovered this one last June. :goodvibes

[It's A Small World --- I mainly want to ride this to torture DF. :rolleyes

DH refuses to ride it -- won't even be near it because you can hear the music playing outside. When the kids and I really want to annoy him, we burst into the song.

[Snow White's Scary Adventure --- I don't know if I have ever been on this, maybe my very first trip but I don't remember.

Not one of my favorites. I remember being scared of it when I was really little.

[Enchanted Tiki Room --- I am sucker for these birds and I just don't understand why as I don't really care for birds in real life especially in close proximity. The birds in pet stores freak me out, they have cold stone death eyes.

Singing Tiki statues -- what more could you want? :)

[Pirates of the Caribbean --- WOO HOO! I haven't seen the updates yet and can't wait. This is must must ride and never ever miss.

One of my top three/four rides in the Magic Kingdom -- the updates are awesome. Sadly, it will be closed when we are there next time. :(

[Haunted Mansion --- I wasn't able to ride this last trip as it was closed and I am going to make up for it with a ride or two...or three.

Another one of my top favorites! I could ride this all day long -- so could Connor.

[Tomorrowland Transit Authority --- It's just not Tomorrowland without a little spin on TTA.

And you get to see Space Mountain without the jarring motion! :thumbsup2

[
Spectromagic
--- Never seen, must see, I will cry if I miss it again.

Me too! :thumbsup2

Great list!

Since I'm working on using nicer versions of what would normally be naughty words in my house, I will say this.

Bummer. ;)

Do they charge for this? Because if not, why doesn't everyone do it. What fun and luxary!
No additional fee, but if you want, you can leave a separate tip, because I believe one set of mousekeepers cleans the room, another set does the afternoon turndowns. This really only works if you're back at your room in the middle of the day, since I've read that sometimes the first mousekeeper would mistakenly take both envelopes.

Where is that can do attitude...?? You WILL get cracking during DS's nap tomorrow. Hehehe. Whoa Lallie, calm down. Whenever you can is fine.

In best Forest Gump yell: YES, DRILL SARGEANT!

I don't know about that one. It seems like there's been some discussion about different titles. For me, I guess it will just be the flavor of our trip, so to speak. Whatever happens will probably dictate what our trip report title will be. That, and whether or not I meet Captain Jack.;)

The second one broke at work yesterday and I made a couple of not so work like words explode from my mouth. Whoops!

I am so excited. I think I will request it, I told DF and he didn't see the big deal but then again he is a male. I do plan on taking breaks so the tip envelopes shouldn't be a problem. *Note to self, buy envelopes!

In best Forest Gump yell: YES, DRILL SARGEANT!
:lmao: I almost needed the Heimlich maneuver! I inhaled my grape that I was eating when I read this. Phew.

Yikes...perhaps I should start putting disclaimers on my posts...

:::WARNING::: Discontinue food or beverage consumption before reading...danger of snorting, laughing, inhaling, or becoming acquainted with your food/drink in ways you never thought possible...

:lmao: I can just imagine...remember it has to be G Rated!

We won't discuss any none G-Rated plans. What happens in DisneyWorld stays in DisneyWorld...or ends up on YouTube...or the DIS! :lmao:
