It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

:lmao: I told him I wanted to go and he said that we can price it and try to get there... But 2009, I have time to pursuade him....
Talk to TK, she is really good with that pursuading thing. ;)
DBF just read this, looked at me, looked at it again and I asked him what, and he said "You would talk about that.." To which I replied "Maybe"

We are going to price out things....I think DBF's main concern is air fare... But let me work on him...
I hear you about the airfare. I think we will make this our trip to WDW for the year. We have been wanting to go in December anyways so we will just have to wait a bit next year, but that is okay with me. Polynesian here I come. ::yes::
I promised DF that next June we could look into renting a camp/cabin for a long weekend or a week. As much as I would like to go to WDW twice, I gotta make DF happy too. I think it would actually feel nice to be in a cabin on a lake for some relaxation. ::yes::

It's one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME -- right up there with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost!

I think it is one of the best-written shows and the characters are so complex! Not to mention that one of my friends is just like Meredith and I am a lot like Christina, so I am always telling her, "You're Meredith to my Christina!"

Can't wait for the fall season -- I missed it during the writer's strike!
I know! I missed it too. I was a little frustrated with Mer/Der drama though. Patrick Dempsey is from Maine, ahhhhh :lovestruc I just love him. I still get teary eyed about Denny.

We get three personal days during the year and since I think I may have taken 3 or 4 days in the nine years that I have been teaching, that means I have like 24 personal days saved up!

So, yes, I could definitely do a long weekend in December, and my children would be all about seeing the Castle lights!
WOO HOO! :dance3: I was worried that you might not be able to make it. This is very exciting!

I have a funny Grey's Anatomy/Patrick Dempsey story for you.

Now, remember, I am quite a few years older than you, so I grew up watching all those 1980's teen movies -- I always thought Patrick Dempsey was kind of a gawky geek in those movies like Can't Buy Me Love (remember I was a Harrison Ford girl from the age of 6).

Fast forward to the present (minus about three or four years). I finish watching Desperate Housewives and then, GA comes on next (like the second or third episode). There is the famous elevator scene -- all I can think is, "Wow! Who is this guy??? He looks soooo familiar! He's making my blood race!" So, I watch the opening credits and lo and behold it's Patrick Dempsey! I let out a "Agggghh," grabbed the remote and turned off the tv -- I was so shocked that I had just used hot and Patrick Dempsey in the same sentence and called my "Meredith" friend to "cry" on her shoulder. Alas, I was like a moth drawn to a flame and watched the next week and the next and the next...:)

I even have a red t-shirt that says "Seriously" on the front and has the GA logo on the back.

I am still sad about Denny -- did you see where Jeffrey Dean Morgan is going to be in a new movie called "The Accidental Husband"? I still miss Burke's character, too.

Hopefully, the Der/Mer drama is over for now.

Favorite moment of the finale: Bailey's monologue about Han Solo! :lmao:

See, I have loved Patrick Dempsey since I have seen "Can't Buy Me Love." I adore that movie, as geeky as it is. ::yes::
I want a tshirt that says Seriously!! That is so adorable.
I really hope they give Izzie a love story that is not going to end tragically, I can't handle anymore heartache for the girl. I did see a preview for "The Accidental Husband" and it looks really good!
I love Bailey, I love her character. I thought the finale was a great episode!

Do you own Enchanted yet? Patrick Dempsey is super in it!

My "Meredith" friend gave it to me for my birthday -- they have them at abc.com in their shop section with a slew of other Grey's stuff!

I used to love Patrick Dempsey back in the 80's. The slight geekiness really appealed to me I guess. I don't want to admit to how many times I saw Can't Buy me Love or that other one Loverboy. I would embarass myself if I admitted numbers there.

I've never seen GA though.

That's the other movie I was thinking of! The pizza delivery one, right? I think I must have a thing for geekiness too. :rotfl2:

It's a really great show. My favorite season was the second though, hands down.

I think I'm going to have to make a point to test out a few episodes.

Loverboy is the one where he plays a pizza delivery boy. Also loved With Honors. He wasn't playing the geek anymore by then though. He wasn't the star of that one, but he was the cool, smooth housemate to Brendan Fraiser. Love him too - can't wait for the new Mummy movie! (I also won't admit to how many times I've seen Encino Man).

I feel overwhelmed because I know I need to do laundry and pack today -- it seems like a huge undertaking right now!

YAY!!! :dance3: you are going to have so much fun.

If they don't want to hear it, I can bring them earplugs. I have an abundance of them. :goodvibes

Thats what I told him...He just laughed.

Talk to TK, she is really good with that pursuading thing. ;)

I am too ;) It is just that we told eachother no vacations next year because we would be paying for the wedding so it is not just a "planning" thing.

Yeah...That is the killer... I told him if we went and stayed at POP century we would cut trip cost down and he came back with "what about air fare?" So I will just have to keep my eyes open and check with AAA.

They have some great places in NH that rent reasonably for the week. I would check that out....:)

I hear ya since I am in that boat this year, we have managed to squeak out two vacations this year, which I am very very very very grateful for. We both need them!

Who knows? If tourism keeps going way down, maybe they will be paying us to fly!! Wishful thinking, I know! :rotfl2:

I told DF that was his chore, to find a place to rent. :goodvibes I think he has a couple of places in NH on his list, as well as Maine.

I do own it and I love it. He is adorable in it. I think that movie is great.
That is awesome, I will have to check it out.

Love that movie! I want to be Giselle!

Oh, you NEED to see Grey's! Patrick Dempsey has aged quite nicely over the years! There is some other choice eye candy on there, too!

Second season, hands down! I could watch the bomb episodes over and over! In fact, I own Season 2 on DVD I loved it that much!

I think because it is '09 I can convince him to use my tax money for the trip!
I already promised DF that he can get a big screen tv come tax refund time. I get a profit sharing bonus in January/February that is usually decent sized. I think we are going to put that towards the WDW vacation, hopefully staying at the Polynesian. I am more than willing to compromise to a mod/value if we have too, just don't tell DF. I am holding out for Poly!
